Clicker Planet

Clicker Planet

I like to support Clicker or Idle game developers. I bought game + DLC and regret this after 10 minutes…

1. This game is so simple that can be made in Unity in less than 1 day.

2. There is no tactic, strategy - nothing in this game. You can just buy 3 idle source of income and… nothing more. There is no progress, no new planets - nothing

3. Game is totaly empty. You can click on 4 diffrent things and do nothing more

4. GAME RESET YOUR PROGRESS RANDOMLY! I played 10 minutes and clicked 3000 times. I was kicked out from game, when I started it again I needed to start from zero. Same happen when you buy DLC and choose diffrent planet (mirrored + diffrent color = 2 USD payment… really?)

Great Clicker/Idle game! Started rough, But it is an Early Access game after all, Developer has fixed the balancing issues as well as added more content and is really fast when it comes to fixing bugs that have been reported to him.

Tap Tap Builder

Tap Tap Builder

This is the sort of game that I historically like, but this game I simply didn’t. Parts of the interface are unintuitive, like having to do each section of road fully independently and there being no option to place them all and tap them sequentially.

The graphics are a very particular style, which I personally quite like, but I can see why people might not.

In summary, I think that this game feels like a bad port of a mobile game. I don’t know whether or not it is, but it has that feel. In its current incarnation, it unfortunately isn’t something that I can recommend.

House Builder: First Job

House Builder: First Job

I really think this game has great potential! I loved playing the first two jobs and can’t wait to see what else there will be.

The building crafting mechanics unfortunately got rather tiring over time, as I constantly yeeted the raw tiles for the roofing when I tried to get them into the oven, so that I needed to make new ones. Also, the distances are hard to guess when using the hand tool/drag-and-drop, which for me made it difficult at times to get the clay into the form.

I would like to be able to collect the raw materials as well (not just the finished ones) and clicking them into their crafting destination, instead of having to drag-and-drop them, risking to lose them whenever I move aound too quickly.

…is a crafting simulator. Build a shelter in the northern ice lands or the African jungle, using basic material from your surroundings.

⚙ Game Description & Mechanics ⚙

Two locations are made available for you to choose from, although the game implied that you start with Greenland and then move to Middle-Africa. Both offer a very different building style: the igloo requires that you to keep a warm fire burning while gathering ice blocks cut from the ground, and a mudbrick house made requiring rocks for the foundation, bamboo sticks and vines for the structure and clay and water for the walls and roof. Both locations have a dangerous beast lurking around (a bear in the first, a lion in the second) from which you need to keep your distance of.

Palladise Island(帕拉小島)

Palladise Island(帕拉小島)

I just finished the game with 100% completion so I feel qualified enough to write this review.

Palladise Island is a simple idle/clicker game in which you collect and evolve many different creatures known as PA. The core gameplay is passively waiting for silver coins to upgrade your buildings to earn more silver coins and upgrade your intimacy bar (the PA’s level/XP Bar) to evolve and unlock more PAs. There is also a building that allows you a chance to randomly get rarer/more expensive items but you’ll probably upgrade this last. You can also click the PAs to earn intimacy faster, thus levelling up faster.

Realm Grinder

Realm Grinder

I should probably begin by saying I have a weakness for idle games. The allure of always progressing and the goal of that next unlockable is appealing to me. I can’t describe properly why that’s the case. I’ve played many idle games. Clicker heroes, adventure capitalist, soda dungeon, the cookie game, time clickers and more.

Realm Grinder is the best by an absolute mile.

Does it do anything different to the other games listed? Not really, no. You’re still clicking on things to make things happen until you reach a point of allowing the game to be self sufficient and left alone until you want to update it and get bigger numbers. What Realm Grinder does differently to the other games is include a gigantic amount of depth. You’re not simply trying to reach the biggest possible numbers. Instead you are trying to reach goal after goal after goal. And everytime you think you’ve reached the limit, the game adds even more goals.

TLDR: If you like clickers that are more strategic and have lots of complexities to them, this is one for you. If you just like to click and not think about it, maybe give it a pass.

I decided to play this game after reading a negative feedback comment because it accurately described the game. I like my idle clickers that have times when you need to be active and other times when you can just leave it alone for a while. This does describe Realm Grinder.

You start the game with the basics and as you move on more dimensions of the game come into play. Each of these new additions adds to the complexity and forces you to be more strategic with your game play. Now, you can do this all on your own and figure it out by trial and error, or you can read the forums on Kongregate or the website http://musicfamily.org/realm/ which is entirely devoted to the game. There’s a plethora of information out there about all the different stages of the game, what to do when, and how to do it most effectively.

Malmyr

Malmyr

I stumbled across this recently, and have been enjoying working through the campaign. I give this a thumbs up primarily because of the enthusiastic and helpful developer responses to questions I had, and I feel I got my moneys worth of entertainment value. These guys deserve some more attention for their efforts. It is a game that I “like” but don’t “love”.

Malmyr offers some quite different mechanics to what you would normally expect, though not all of those are necessarily positive things (it is very mouse clicky) and can take some getting used to. Kind of revealing is the lack of a lets play series out there - people tend to bounce off it after a few hours I think. Fundamentally the game is more of a puzzler than a true building game - space is limited and the randomly generated tiles can require some planning before you commit to building. I am hoping to finish the campaign, I am always a sucker for trying to “finish” a game. I haven’t tried the sandbox mode though I may give that a quick shot once I knock off the last two missions, we shall see. I just have too many other games that are begging for my time and this just doesn’t have that magic X factor or depth of strategy tp keep coming back to.

Malmyr is THE game you’ve been waiting for a long time! What a pleasant surprise!

Malmyr is the perfect mix of real-time strategy and puzzle game. Because in Malmyr building your city is not made as easy as in other building games. Instead, you have to ensure an always sufficient flow of raw materials through increasingly complex road systems. but malmyr always remains clear, fair and, above all, relaxing. Relaxation is the perfect word to describe malmyr. You have no time pressure, you can correct mistakes at any time without losing your progress.

Well… it’s something.

The game only has 5 “game modes” which consist of something non-sensical and boring, there isn’t really anything “relaxing” or satisfying about them. The music cannot be adjusted and is pretty loud. Honestly it just feels like a school project from 2005 done by two students that just served to be presented infront of a class and then forgotten. Definetly not worth the money, I got it from a steam gift

Castle Clicker : Building Tycoon

Castle Clicker : Building Tycoon

I like the game but there a few bugs I would like to point out:

  • When the game crashes certain events are not stored correctly. For example the I had built a Iibrary and got the ability to create a university, I built two of those. A few days later there was a power outage, so the game was unexpectedly closed. I built another library and unlocked… University! That should have been observatory! But the cost for the library increased any way.

  • Another example is that the paper lady (the one that you have to pay 25 gems when starting a new game plus 1) pops up after each crash asking whether I want to get her help for 0 gems. This is probably related to the previous bug.

Review Note:

Thumbs up for this game I found it easy enough to play and fun to play. I like its design style, and have suggested Ideas that I would like to see added to this game. I have also suggested other games at the end of this note that might play well in this design style. The only Cons: I found is, that when I build the last two buildings,(still trying to find all the artifacts, tho I bought some in the store) I will probably have to rest game. Some of the suggestions could help me from having to rest game soon. Thanks
