Passive Income

Passive Income

Passive Income is an idle-ish simulator game where you can build houses, get upgrades, and gain money over time! Chill out and relax as you rip rent out of little cartoon people’s pockets. Upgrades help you along the way by giving your houses little buffs and gimmicks, like taking rent out of the people’s pockets even faster! Upgrades come in different rarities and they get harder to find as the rarity increases, so if you get your hands on an exotic you should be happy! I didn’t even mention the Unreal ones…

Gameplay

So what can you do in Passive Income? This idle-ish simulator game brings you options to build different buildings, including houses, villas, mansions, and more! These buildings bring you money to buy either more buildings, upgrades, or the untested rebirthing, test at your own risk! These new upgrades and worlds will help you along the way to becoming the richest player! Grow your passive income now!

Although this title does not support English, its playable to an extent thanks to its general city building concepts. Has promise, looking forward to if the dev adds support for English.

DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review

Eco Park is a game developed by and published by LunaBrod

The game offers some nice graphics and environments, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same and has a really great aesthetic

Eco Park overall, however, is a fun game to play, and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is a good simulation strategy game and to play in short bursts

It’s a shame this game hasn’t received the love it deserves as for such a small indie game, it’s quite complex and fun once you get the hang of it, for such a dirt cheap price, you should definitely give Eco Park a go!

fun enough game thats simple and straight forward, and very repeatative. There’s a single means of controling the battle, a slider. unfortunately it’s of limited use once troops start fighting as even if you’re fighting at the enemy’s gates and then disengage a good portion of your troops will continue to fight the enemy, and even those who have disengaged will often immediately rush back towards the enemy once they reach the point you’ve set, compounding how horrible this is is the fact that your troops won’t fall back all at once and instead will go back is in clumps of 2-4. additionally spawning in more troops happens in a similar manner, resulting in frequent situations where player troops are picked off piecemeal.

Your own art adventure begins now! Before you’ll be able to showcase the works of Picasso, Rubens, or Banksy you have to go through the preparations. Renovate a recently rented building, purchase the essential equipment and hire a crew - it’s time for an opening ceremony!

Just hold on for a moment before the grand opening! The place still needs to be filled up with various pieces of art. It’s going to be hard to get your hands on the works of the most brilliant artistic minds before you get yourself some proper renown.

The good news is that you can become one of them!

Create your own paintings, sculptures, and get the recognition you need to make your business bloom!

Our life is simply a blink of an eye compared to the immortality of art, so should we really care about such irrelevant details as property law?

It may be that a nearby art gallery just received a masterpiece that pulls your customers towards them. You can’t let them ruin all your hard work, can you?

Rob other galleries without getting caught. Works of art acquired this way can be sold on the black market or used in your own gallery after a while.

Watch out though, as your competitors can also try to make a move on you.

Hire security guards, buy cameras, and don’t let those degenerates touch your treasures!

Just like Caesar conquered the Kingdom of Pontus, you can conquer York Art!

Make your galleries present in the whole world of art exhibitions and welcome critics from all around the globe.

You’re not just an owner of extraordinary masterpieces - you create them!

This is a fun “casual” game as described. This is not true city builder game. So when purchasing this game expect it to be very casual. For what you get out of this it pretty good. It runs very smoothly and I like watching the building upgrade. It is worth a try if you like city building games. My only complaint is the price of the game. I find it a tad too high for what you get out of it.

Once again, steam needs a neutral option for rating games. Is it horrible? No, but I’ve seen more compelling mobile games. I barely feel like I will get my $ worth even though I got it on sale, so it gets a negative rating.

-This is less of a city builder and more like a basic resource-balancing puzzle in the way it functions.

-There is no explanation of what to do or why. You just have to click around until you figure it out, which wasn’t very engaging. It runs smoothly, so if you’re looking for super simple, it might appeal.

The Immortal Mayor

The Immortal Mayor

This is a really cute and beautiful game with a fun concept. I was interested mainly because it kind of made me think of Black & White which is a game I miss so much. But also, the unique setting of ancient China with a mix of Eastern mythology. This is not a style I see often in these kinds of games, and I find it refreshing!

In its current state I believe the game is enjoyable and still playable, but it is far from perfect and needs a lot of work. For instance, the balancing and management of resources seems a bit off and I still don’t have a consistent grasp on how to get it perfect. Any wrong move it seems your town will crumble in minutes. The current guide is wordy and doesn’t really cover it all. It took trial and error to figure out how to find a balance and how buildings worked with attributes from decorations.

Super super nice game. Chinese city building theme (OMFG) is just simply my sweetest dream.

Really interesting and creative way to upgrade buildings, which I have never experienced before.

You can simply move a mountain away to get more space (since you are GOD in this world :D) and add more resources for your people to exploit

OMG I just love it…

However, there are still a few things I need to mention:

  • The most annoyed thing is when you want to find a building that you have built (let say Tea room), you have no tool to find it but only your bare eyes. It really takes tons of time especially when the building is upgraded (its appearance will change).

Tinytopia

Tinytopia

A nice little builder game, not overly complicated so that you have too much resource juggling at once.

‘Cute’ graphics and catchy background music.

The BALANCE levels are a nice distraction from the usual building rules.

HOWEVER . .

Controls can be a bit annoying:

  • Using SPACE+Mouse to move map !

  • Constantly having to select MOVE for every item rather than it being a ‘sticky’ option, when you need to reorganise the town.

  • A snap to grid would be nice so that you can line everything up cleanly (existing snap only works for building stacking/upgrades).

Real player with 22.5 hrs in game

The game play loop is satisfying. Each level has a certain list of criteria that needs to be fulfilled, but it never feels like a grind. The best part of the game, besides building your own personalized little cities, is the building combination mechanic. Each successful combination has a satisfying little sound effect, and the more you progress the more combinations you discover. Without a doubt, one of the most charming projects I’ve come across in a while. I expect to have all of the achievements within the next 5-7 hours of in game time. but I plan to build in the sandbox plenty more after that.

Laruaville 7 - Match 3 Adventure

Laruaville 7 - Match 3 Adventure

This game is actually quite a bit of fun. You do lots of different things. Mostly Match 3, but other things, too. Hidden object, solitaire, bonus games (beat the computer, cursed coin), and spot the difference. There are settings to play it casual, limited moves, timer and limited moves. The music can be disabled, and it is separate from the sounds.

It starts out, bam, no tutorial or hand holding. There are objects and hazards there that hopefully you’ve seen before. I would not recommend this for a first time player. Seasoned veteran, definitely. There is kinda of a story, but you know how that goes. It’s mostly those floaty people talking to each other and arguing over stuff.

Real player with 13.8 hrs in game

Don’t let the dated looks of this game keep you from getting it (on sale, of course.) The plastic toy CG animation and Playskool color palette disguises a pretty fun and involved Match 3+ game (the in-game guide for the Match 3 gameplay is 14 pages long.) There’s nothing revolutionary here, but what it has is done well. Besides the Match 3, every so often you get basic solitaire levels, find the difference between two pictures, and hidden objects scenes. Not the most exciting features, but a nice break nevertheless. AND, as you play, bonus Match 3 levels open in a separate section.
