Under Domain - Alien Invasion Simulator

This game feels like the creator made a unique and interesting system to play this game but then refuses to teach anyone how to use it. The tutorial even states it’s a LIMITED tutorial and you will learn the more advanced parts of the game with play… except the game play is totally static with no learning curve, so the advanced functions and parts of the game are impossible to reach. At first I figured I was playing the game wrong or just not getting something, but after going to find some kind of guide online (there are none at the time of writing this), or looking at the game’s web page for more information (the game’s page is only a landing page with screen shots, logos, and PR/Sales Hype), and then finally the game reviews/comments that all have the same problem with the game play and then some… I am now pretty sure this game isn’t finished and there are commands and graphics missing to advance the game play. Glad I got this on sale for like $2 since even $6 for this game is over priced as the game currently stands.

The game is really good-looking, definitely an interesting idea. The art, graphics, sound - top notch! And there are a lot of possibilities for further update, which, judging from Antarctica screenshot from “About this game”-section, might be coming (

! I didn’t see a way to build Earth, Moon or ocean bases ).

Basically you play as an alien race that, for a good reason (from their perspective), wants to invade the Earth. And with maximum of 12 decades (from year 1900) and 10 turns per decade you can invade the Earth by 2020 (yep)!

Festivals - Headliners

Festivals - Headliners

Design your Event Sites, Book Artists, Build your Career as a Promotor and Produce your own Festivals in Festivals - Headliners.

Construct your Site

Build the festival site of your dreams with dozens of stages, food stalls, bars, and hundreds of decorations, billboards and lights. Put up fences and lay down paths to guide your guests in the right direction across your venue and include signing to manage any crowding. Use generators and power lines to form a temporary power grid. And most important of all, keep your fans safe.

Setup your Lineup

Every festival needs entertainment! Book bands, DJs and other talent to entertain your visitors, design awesome shows, include special effects, and make it a night your guests will never forget. And add fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks.

As your career progresses, you make more connections, and get the option to book some very popular artists and acts for your events. Take good care of them, they’ll draw in huge crowds!

Be ready for D-Day

Start load-in early enough to be ready on time, but not too early or you’ll spend too much on rental. Don’t start too late, because you’ll never know what might happen. The event industry always has some “interesting” surprises for you along the way. Stay on schedule!

Staff Management

A festival is only as successful as the staff running it. They are your most vital asset, treat them accordingly. Hire staff in advance, so you know you have the best people on your team. Provide training and coaching to ensure they’ll stay with you for years.

During the event, provide them with good catering and plenty of breaks. As always, safety is important, so make sure everyone is wearing earplugs!

Finance

While hosting festivals is the most fun job in the world, money still has the be made to pay the bills. Not everyone is doing this for fun. You have to be careful not to overspent. As most festivals don’t make any profit in their first 3 events, don’t be to hard on yourself, but if you’re still in the red by year 4, you might want to consider a different profession. Also, not everyone is to be trusted. Watch out to make sure you’re not lured into anything illegal.

First-person / Third person

Of course you’ll want to witness the spectacle first-hand. As your the head of the event, your AAA card grants you access to every nook and cranny of the venue. Walk around among guests in first-person view, take control of the FOH booth where the lights are controlled, or join the talent on stage to wave at the crowd!

Workshop

From the early release on Steam on, you’ll be able to share your festival sites on the Steam workshop to share with your friends! Before the final release, we’ll add options to add your own assets to the game, which you’ll also be able to share on the workshop. How this exactly is going to work is still a secret, sign up as a tester to learn more first hand!

Progress

  • 2019: Initial work

  • 2020: Work on background systems

  • Now - 2021: Get frontend ready for (beta) testing by end of year

  • 2022: (Early) Release

  • 2023: Initial DLC’S

Tester Needed!

We’re currently actively looking for testers! We hope to ship a first playable version in private beta soon, sign up using this form now to make sure you’re included!

Whiskey Island

Whiskey Island

Early days yet, but this game has more content than half of the “finished” games that leave Early Access nowadays. It has some minor issues, but you can sink several hours into it already. Whiskey Island is honestly a mishmash of several other titles, but what it really comes across as is Prohibition-era Satisfactory minus the alien threat but with a healthy dose of chill.

You’ll spend most of your time shuttling cargo between raw material production like the logging camp and further processing facilities such as the lumber mill, all the while having to keep the entire island supplied with…well…Supplies from the visiting cargo freighter, lest you want everything to grind to a halt. Once something is refined far enough, you’ll then haul the final product to the Dock so the ship can haul it off and deposit a healthy sum in your account - of course, the option’s always there to just sell off products before they’re refined but doing so will earn you less overall. The more deliveries you do, the more gold earned and the greater the happiness level…which in turn causes colour to gradually bleed back into the game world.

Epidemyc

Epidemyc

This is a strategy tower defense game, you must protect seven rows against monsters by putting soldiers in each row. The player must choose between buying defensive structures, attack soldiers, or mining. As the game progresses, special and aid units are unlocked, also the enemies are upgraded in their variety. It is a very entertaining game where you do not pay to win, it does not require internet, it is not too long (infinite), it is complete and contains unlockable elements.

History: A war between the north and south zones forced all retired soldiers to return to service, Colonel Steve among them. Steve has a special mission within his own territory, and this is to recover the containers from laboratory 3. This would be a simple mission if it weren’t for the fact that he must confront the biological weapons that the enemy used in the city and the scarce resources assigned to him. Will he be able to overcome all obstacles? It depends on you.

RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3: Complete Edition

RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3: Complete Edition

Recommended as a classic game and, in my opinion, one of the most entertaining management sims out there. If you want to relive your childhood, or just give one of the classics a shot, go for it.

If you already own the game however, don’t bother. As a lot of the other reviews state, this is not a remaster, and its not a very good attempt at making the game “HD” either. Lacks basic support for what you’d consider HD 10 years ago, with an aged and outdated options menu. Had to manually edit the options.txt to fit the game to a 1920x1200 monitor (located in appdata/Frontier for anyone with the same issue).

Hands down the best way to play this what I like to call a timeless classic. Sure, the graphics haven’t exactly aged the best, but that’s what also gives this title its charm in my opinion. It’s so easy to pick up and play, and it’s easy to just have fun with it, whether you’re making your own park, or playing a scenario. It has what feels like endless replayability, too, as not two playthroughs feel the same, even if the objectives are the same. I did experience a few crashes here and there, though, like the game freezing when I try to place a ride. And sometimes it does get to the point where I have to force close it with Task Manager since I can’t do anything else. Not to mention it does crash unexpectedly somewhat frequently whenever I would stream this game on one of my Discord servers, which is pretty annoying. But regardless, I’m still happy that this is available, and still be able to play one of my childhood favorites. RCT3 might very be my most-played game of all time, and I’m honestly okay with that. It’s just so much fun!

On the plus side:

Factions that actually feel different to play, gaining some unit types earlier than others and such.

Unique units in most cases replace a standard one with no additional costs,

for example english longbow replacing standard archer or french royalknights replacing standard knights.

Shiptypes more or less depend on region, european have their set of ships, asian have theirs, abbasid+dehli have theirs and rus are just the odd ones with their entirely unique arsenal of longboats.

Plenty of interesting ideas, like getting up on walls or mongols movable structures to name some.
