Pathway
Build 1.1.6 review
This is an Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom/ Raiders of the Lost Ark) inspired role play tactics game that is suitable for players relatively new to tactical games. This is because each skirmish is generally resolved within 5 minutes. The adventure itself can last an hour or so depending on your choices and the number of sectors (maps) assigned to that adventure. Each adventure sector will always start and end at defined locations, but the possible routes are always procedurally generated. You can save after any encounter has been resolved.

🎤Introduction
Pathway is a turn-based rogue-like that takes its core mechanics inspired by the Xcom series and its art style and story inspired by Indiana Jones. Neither of these hinders the game because it’s not original, in fact these two combined work well together. Though the rogue-like elements don’t suit the strategic and cautious gameplay style very well and overall it makes the game more repetitive and frustrating than it needs to be.
✔️Pros
• 16 unique characters all with their unique abilities, skills, perks, and personalities

Witch’s Reign
So first things first, this game is not worth the $10 price tag. That’s a steep price for a game that is fairly short, at the time of this review.
I got this game on sale for $3 and that is a pretty good price!
This game is pretty good, it’s got some solid puzzle ideas and I like the simple art design. It’s a memory puzzle where you explore a dungeon of sorts and make sure you don’t die to traps and monsters. You have a small line of sight due to a candle that can be blown out or lit again in order to trick the monsters onto the traps.

Lucky me gets to write the first review for Witch’s Reign. This is a very simplistic, bare bones top down “survival horror puzzle”, whatever that’s supposed to mean. What you really get is what seems like a mobile app where you can only see one square ahead, and in only one direction, so you need to move around an obscured grid/maze without getting eaten by baddies or falling in traps.
This has been slapped together with Unity, the game engine that’s been enabling mediocrity everywhere and giving Starbucks baristas delusions of grandeur since 2005. However, it’s very unpolished, to the point I don’t think this is an asset flip or a copy+paste of someone else’s tutorial or game demo. Nor could I find it on app stores, although they have higher QA than Valve, so probably wouldn’t permit this. So, I guess kudos to the developer for having a try. I think that’s more likely the explanation, that someone wanted to make a game but didn’t really know how, but put it on Steam anyway. I kind of wish Steam wasn’t a dumping ground for half baked ideas, there’s places like itch.io for that.

Fabled Lands
Fabled Lands is adaptation from the open world gamebook series of the same name, originally written in the 1990s.
If you are not familiar with the original books, what you can expect is a primarily text-based adventure in a medieval world in pen and paper style, accompanied by pretty illustrations and graphic UI. This isn’t your typical RPG game. There isn’t a single main story to follow, instead you explore the world and do whatever you please. Dice rolls determine the outcome of events, danger lurks around every corner, and your adventure only ends when you die permanently.

Back in the 90’s in Germany Ravensburger released the first four of the Fabled Lands solitaire-RPG game books in German under the Trademark “Sagaland” (not the Board Game). Already the first book “Kampf um das Königreich” (“The War-Torn Kingdom”) got me deeply involved in the world of Harkuna and the mechanisms of the books. Although I already had known the Fighting Fantasy Classics game books like “Death Trap Dungeon” there was nothing like the “Fabled Lands”-Series.
Those books are outstanding and unique in every way: You could travel back and forth in the book itself, from book to book, buy ships and become a sea trading mechant, the books “remembered” you decisions and changes the world accordingly.

Kings0
Kings0 - turn-based strategy in medieval genre, where you have to control your civilization in many aspects of the game.
The player will be able to visit different conditions, where the clan wars of the ancient Tribes are in full swing.
But not always everything can be solved by war, and therefore there are many mechanics for different styles of play.
This is where a new story begins that is different from other players.
The player has the right to do whatever comes to his mind with the game world.
Economy, pumping and construction, diplomacy, battles with lords, bandits and other civilizations, raids and robberies, achievements and easter eggs and much more.
Cards of the Dead
At first the game felt fine…and then it becomes clear that the only way you can progress is by brute-forcing it. There’s no strategy, there’s no cleverly using character abilities. It’s just sheer dumb luck and the deck is massively stacked against you. It didn’t become apparent until after the 2 hour mark, and the second story is absolutely infuriating in how badly it is designed in regards to gameplay. REQUIRING SERUM TO USE A GUN THAT YOU HAND OUT LIKE CANDY IS BAD WHEN YOU HAVE TO USE THAT TO SURVIVE.
– Real player with 9.9 hrs in game
The rules are simple, survive.
That being said, the game is really difficult. But, there’s pretty frequent auto-saves to help you along. If you enjoy RPG’s and are willing to play a card-game variant, give it a go. I’ve enjoyed it so far.
After an additional 5 hours, I can say that the game is still difficult. It’s a lot of trial and error, which I can appreciate as you’re really learning how to play as you go. I’ve just beaten the game and am only missing the 100% completion achievements, so that’s probably another hour or so, but overall, the game’s decently short. Personally, I’d recommend the game as it’s priced, especially for all those that love Indie games, but on sale, it’s definitely worth it!

Defence to death
Definitely only worth picking up when it is a 1.00 or less…and ONLY if you are wanting the achievements and cards.
Although I think the ability to click (fast) on enemies to kill them, and click (fast) on the mine to get more currency to spend to build towers, are really great ideas, there are only 3 actual levels that are reused over and over, only 4 towers to build, and only 2 towers you will actually use. You earn money at the end of each level, that you can spend on 3 upgrades per tower.
It’s a pretty easy, but very boring grind.

Defence to Death is another lazy asset flip from Laush Studio. They’ve taken a basic Unity template for a TD game, changed around a few things, didn’t bother with polishing it or testing it much, and dumped it on Steam for a comical $6.
I’d go on about how asset flips are bad but this is just garbage. Everything is clunky, no support for higher resolution monitors, balancing the game was something developers had heard about and will probably think about doing one day maybe on their next game. It’s just trash.

Dice Tactics
First off
My main enjoyment and cause for recommending this game is because it was fun for me and relaxing could sit back on my chair and play it with my mouse.
The dice visuals are nice
Its just a fun little game
I have a few cons for it but maybe they get worked out by the Devs.
This is a Mobile Port
But forr me it was just fun to play
Im glad i bought and have no regrets in the least
Well done Devs

If this game were a bit more open world, $15 might not be a bad price. I just don’t see paying that much for a game where the path is laid out, with few options for direction. Don’t get me wrong, I like the game. I just don’t see paying for a mere three more chapters, when the first one was so short.
