The Peresmeshnik

The Peresmeshnik

The story of the game is pretty interesting! There’s no jump scares but it really does make you question who is bad or good the story reminds me a lot of the thing with a hint of c’thulu (possibly just cause it’s a big bad at sea and the charts?) Overall I enjoyed the play through and it kept my interest as I replayed it multiple times for the achievements and they weren’t insanely hard to get or anything!

Let your imagination run wild with this story game! Its a quick play through with a well thought out story ark. Its taught me to trust again!

Playing The Peresmeshnik for the first time brought back memories of my survival days in Rust and Ark where I developed PTSD and an excessive amount of paranoia. I might have lost my mind the first playthrough, but I made things right eventually.

A word to the wise: Don’t let that tentacle bastard get you, like it got me!

Absolute trash. You run around aimlessly through woods and find a car or a phone in order to leave while this hilariously dumb crawling thing stalks you.

Took about 10 minutes.

tERRORbane

tERRORbane

In tERRORbane, you’d expect to save a generic fantasy RPG world from evil, right? Instead, the Developer who created the game keeps on commenting on everything you do, funny bugs and glitches keep on popping up everywhere you go and nothing seems to work the way it should?! What’s a good Player to do, but dish out his trusty BUG LIST and use bugs to his advantage to get to the ending credits sequence?

There’s nothing that could go hilariously wrong, right?

Become the TERRORBANE, saviour of the world!

tERRORbane is a comedic adventure where bugs are your FRIENDS!

Enjoy exploring a crazy and outlandish world, full of unique, quirky characters and homages to the media of videogaming and its celebrated history, challenge the Developer with your creativity as you exploit and cheat your way through his sloppy design to try to get to the heart of what is truly needed to make the best games work.

Explore a wild wild WORLD!

Saving the realm from evil anthropomorphic villains is hardly a novel concept in the wild world of videogames, but don’t go expecting this adventure to stay run-of-the-mill fantasy for long! Castles, temples, starships and vaults! Travel from the digital depths of a dungeon to the surface of the moon with barely any cohesive plot holding it together! The Developer created a world so full of strange lore and wonderful locales, you’ll start to question your own sanity!

Challenge the Developer and find all BUGS you can!

The Developer swears the game he has created is the best one ever made, but the sorry state of his code begs for a much needed reassessment of his claims! Hunt for bugs and glitches, fill your BUG LIST and exploit every loop-hole you can! Only this way you’ll defy all videogaming norms and prove your rights as the ultimate Player, worthy of changing the world of tERRORbane forever.

Make your CHOICES and venture beyond!

Did you really think finishing the game would be enough to finish tERROrbane’s story? Think again! Your choices shape your journey across the world, delivering you to wildly different sections and environments, going back and choosing differently will usher you to completely different stories and characters, adding new bugs to your collection! Who’s to say you won’t find a way to explore even beyond the ending credit scene?

Not too shabby of a game. I mean it’s only $1 so it definitely has some rough parts like no save feature during each chapter and text that you should be able to click through but can’t. Also not sure if the ending was the actual end or it just froze but I played through the last chapter to double check and got the same scene. It had it’s moments and was decently long for the price so I say check it out if it seems interesting to you. If you want to see some game play you can check out my play through above.

Better than I thought!

I’m not a big fan of such kinds of games BUT this one hooked me for a few hours.

Nice stories.

Interesting to read while you’re playing.

Good atmosphere (too much sfx of machine guns in the background, imho, but it’s not a big deal - just make the music louder! :)).

Well done, guys!

Wonderful start!

Keep going and good luck with the next project!

Really would like to play your next game.

Great game play, narrative driven, choices are difficult to make considering everyone needs to be helped but I enjoyed playing the game very much and definetly would recommend it. The game play is short but overall I would give the game 4 stars!! Great job guys!! Look forward to playing it again!!

🧠 OUT OF THE BOX

🧠 OUT OF THE BOX

It really is a shame that this game doesn’t seem to be getting much attention. I think it is quite a hidden gem.

I really like the art style. All the character sprites just ooze personality. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the idle animations in some cutscenes look a bit exaggerated, with some characters constantly headbanging for no reason. Less animation would have been more here. But I am willing to overlook that minor flaw because I just enjoy the style so much. Also, don’t let the cutesy look fool you. There are some really brutal scenes in this game.

It’s a good game where you play a bouncer hired by your maffia boss after being released from prison and no one else will give you a job, while all the while trying to stay on the straight and narrow and keep your bills paid. You have to check people coming into the night club for simple stuff to start with (dress code, ID, correct tickets, not under age, not drunk etc) but as things go along, you start getting extra requests and criteria to meet.

There’s a basic storyline. It doesn’t have many ways it can significantly branch from the linear storyline (so far the majority I tried don’t make a lot of difference or cause you to hit dead ends (sometimes literally.) So unless you enjoy the ticket checking side of things, replayability is limited. Checking tickets is fun and challenging for the first round, but does have threshold where it starts to lose its shine. (I kind of wish it was mixed up a bit with more variation.)

Recycle My World

An interesting twist to the “trading”/ “management” genre…

I discovered this game about 5 hours ago and I was really interested because of how ‘abstract’ it seemed.

From what I’ve found out - this game is made by one guy? Given that and the price I do think this is a good game but… I do have some points/ suggestions that I feel could make this game better.

The good:

  1. A unique take on the ‘trading’ genre - but NOT an adventure game in my opinion.

  2. Abstract but creative world design.

really great game, I’ve waited for a bit for it to come out when I saw it on gamejolt.

Abit confusing but you’ll get the hang of it easily, I’ve only played for about an hour and I already run into some trouble with the customer’s timer/patience, something else is how slow recycling was because I was carrying one item at a time and questioned if there was an inventory in the game… all in all fantastic experience that I’m gonna come back to tomorrow! hope it gets developed further!

Sonata Theory

Sonata Theory

If you enjoy narrative experiences, you’ll enjoy this game. What I like best about it is how it expands on its visual novel core. There is some environment exploration, some light puzzle-solving, and branching endings based on how you play. Game scenarios tend to have multiple solutions, and it is fun to try to find them all. Visually it is bright and colorful with good audio. Plus, it is essentially a one-hour experience (and less with each subsequent play-through), so you don’t have to commit a lot of time to enjoy this (free) game. Note: I was the faculty advisor for this project.

The music was great, the level was beautiful, the character design was unique, and the story was fairly good. Menus had a few issues, quest items didn’t disappear which made it a bit confusing, the relationship portion didn’t seem effect gameplay, and the dialog boxes could use a redesign. Overall I actually enjoyed the game music and level design were major Pluses.
