Planet LEV
Oh my god I love it. This is like a self contained WaveVR-esq music abstract land, and a fairly expansive one. It seems very alien, like this is where the super intelligent god beings go to hang out. I absolutely love the ability to instantly teleport from one area to the next what with the automap thing (that got stuck to my hand once and I had to restart). In this way you can really get a sense of the entire space, and there are bulidings to go into to, and alot of work is spend on the soundscapes. It’s VR, so there is a gigantic large-breasted anime lady dancing, so it checks that important box as well. Planet LEV is deliciously spacey and abstract.
! Specific areas have songs from real life artists. I saw Boris Divider on the automap. I’m not a huge fan of his work, it all sounds the same. I fell asleep to it once on a plane and woke up to it, and so his beats are endearing to me in that way. However in the current build of LEV that area is replaced with Biosphere, and I love Biosphere and overlay it on my vr videos alot. https://youtu.be/QCVLhZI43AM

Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
This is an interesting experimental art / music collaboration for VR. If you’re into experimental stuff, then you might enjoy this. I will say that I thought navigation was clunky and unintuitive. You have teleportation only (where you have to click in on the Oculus Quest 2) and no snap or smooth turning.
Starting the experiences is also very clumsy. You can teleport to these pyramid structures then point and click on them with the off-hand (the other hand is for locomotion). Then press trigger. Unfortunately, when I tried the LIVE experience, nothing happened. I assume it was because there was no live experience at that time. There’s also no information on when the live experience would be.

AltspaceVR
AltspaceVR is one of my favourite VR applications, i’ve spent many hours on it watching YouTube videos with strangers, having lightsaber battles, eating marshmallows, dancing to live DJ parties and much more!
PROS :
-
A fairly big community (for a VR app) You’ll usually find people online at any time of the day.
-
Cross-platform support. You can meet people using the Gear VR, Google Daydream, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and even people without headsets playing in 2D mode.
-
People are very friendly. Even if you feel like someone is acting badly, you can simply mute or block them.

Used to be good till they removed everything the community liked. They used to have body tracking, a easily usable sdk, hand tracking, and a shared browser. So long as you agree with everything they do and have no opinion of your own you’ll be fine there, but if you express concern about something or question anything then you’ll be removed. Also, it behaves like spyware, writing out randomly titled files to places in the hard drive like C:\Windows\System32 and other such obscure places that aren’t easily user accessible for the sole purpose of tracking you after you’ve decided to uninstall it. They don’t do anything to protect user privacy. Any picture you upload doesn’t get exif data stripped out, so any image that gets uploaded that was taken with a phone will have the GPS coordinates attached and can be read by anyone. It’s trivially easy to get past their joke of security on their servers and get the e-mails and birth days of anyone with an account. When you tell them about their security holes and suggest things they can do better they deny that any security holes exist. They let known child predators go around grooming children and go so far as to threaten to ban the users trying to report them, with proof. All-in-all, if you’re looking for a platform where you can be surrounded by kids, threatened by staff, and get anything you try to do ripped off with no credit then this is the place for you.

Killer Inside Us
A 3d rendition of a popular 2d game that works quite well. Support for up to 10 players at once and the ability to wear a duck on your head as you spook those who aren’t dead yet… Sus.

Disc Golf Adventure 2 VR
First impressions were quite good. Single Player and Multiplayer worked great. Some suggestions can make this game much much better, but for first try. Super happy with buy. Will update when I have some more hours in the game.

This game has really nice graphics and atmosphere but as a casual disc golf player I can say that the physics are just wrong. It seems impossible to throw proper (an)hyzers or flips, and all the discs (even drivers with little power) are rolling huge distances because the terrain does not seem to have any effect on the disc + discs do not wobble enough to stop the rolling (even PS3 Sports Champions Disc Golf is way better on these aspects). I really would like to have a good VR Disc Golf game and this could be it if only someone would fix the physics.

THE GAME OF LIFE 2
Now, you may be wondering why I have over 100 hours in a game where there’s DLC and a season pass. It’s not about the money, it’s about the gameplay. I don’t have any dlc as it’s just the same gameplay but with different skins.
PROS:
Steal money from friends, bots, or others in online
Have pets (just dogs or cats)
Exploit the economy if you’re lucky enough not to land on tax spaces
You can be single just like real life
When married, it costs nothing and you actually earn money from it
There’s no divorce papers so your partner doesn’t take anything from you

I’ve had this game get stuck three times now right at the end. It counts the money and the pieces just stand there, moving their heads and jumping around. On top of that, all the maps except one are behind a paywall. Had I known I was only gonna get one map with this game, I wouldn’t have gotten it. I figured since it was so based around having new maps, that there would be more than one available to play without paying. Ha. Nope. I bought this during the Steam Summer Sale and it still wasn’t worth the discounted price. What a joke. Greed has gotten the best of this one.

Disc Golf Adventure VR
Hi. This game has been very good for me. At first it took some tweaking in my pc but I was able to get my frames to about 2-3ms which gave me over 50% overhead on my 2080 super. Then the gameplay was super smooth. I would recommend to anyone who has been looking for the most true to life VR Disc Golf experience to date. Great job guys and please keep updating (and making games lol). Thanks.

As an avid disc golfer in real life, I am very pleased with this title.
PROS:
Lots of discs with their own flight numbers
Shot shaping
Various Courses
CONS:
Extremely difficult to throw farther than 150 ft
Short holes
Repetitive holes
I think a big fix this game needs is that its very hard to throw far, and the holes are much shorter than any other disc golf course in real life. I think a re-scaling of the game would go a long ways.
In the end, I am very excited for this game’s future. I would recommend this to any one who enjoys the sport.

Other Worlds India
Achievement is a national flag and easy to unlock.
Just start playing the game, it unlocks all.
But that’s the only reason I decided to buy this game.

Cheap game from Russia. With this I mean, theres zero quality.
You die from one hit, controls are horrible and theres no tutorial or story.
Whats the point of this game? Nobody knows.
Stay away for now, might be OK after full release, but now it’s part of Steams shovelware collection.

Bigscreen Beta
This has been the app I have used the most since I bought an oculus quest. I don’t really like the price of the movies that they offer to watch. You end up paying $4.99 to watch a virtual movie that is in 3d. I can’t get into this 3d movie stuff, makes my eyes feel crossed. What I really really enjoyed about Big Screen is the fact I can use their remote desktop and play movies from my giant collection at home. I have been hosting 80’s/90’s movies for people to join and watch since the COVID-19 pandemic started, and have been watching 3-5 movies per week. Sometimes people pop in for a moment to see what is going on and others will stay through most of the movie. People for the most part have been quiet and respectful in the movies. For the ones that come in trolling, there is an option to kick them from the room. After this they can’t rejoin. This is oddly enough a great opportunity to talk to people from around the world using the internet. You can go to the lobby that is set up like a real theater with a snack bar popping popcorn and all the movie theaters to select which movies you want to watch. Here is where several people will congregate and socialize. They just need to add a friends list. I have met some really cool people on here. When you host a theater, they give you several different options on how the theaters look. This ranges from a simple small home theater to a retro style theater. There is even a space station theater where stuff you throw will float because of less gravity. By the way you can throw objects like tomatoes, drinks, and popcorn at stuff. Not bad at all for a free app

I’ve used this app virtually every day, It has become my go-to app for all things movie and video related. I’ve recommended it to friends who have vr headsets, and visitors have seen my personal home theator with the help of this app.
For me what sets this aside from many other apps is the fact that I can lay in bed and watch movies, every other app seems to limit the view for a sitting position…. This sucks for long sessions. The other feature I enjoy is the single handed use. Many others try to force you to use both hands to get around. Let me ask and devs who might be reading this: How many tv’s, dvd players have you purchased that came with 2 remotes each? Perhaps 1 for play, pause, and a second remote for the arrows. With that logic, you’d have 4 remotes for your two devices. On that subject; how many people have you heard say “i wish my tv forced me to use several devices before I could watch netflix on it”?
