The Insider – interactive movie

I like K shows and movies, for me this was interesting, it’s very short. I got the first ending under 8 minutes and there is 5 endings and player can get those under 1 hour.

One good point is this one has good English subs, game have no issues. It would have been nice if this one had achievements.

As for plot it’s simple and short and player will get to know what is happening but will not get a full explanations,

! as to how she met her friend, what was her reason for going rogue, is there any reason for her to do this etc

Spoiler alert!

I’m giving the ending scene, if you feel like playing, please ignore my comment here.

Well, i find it funny that i can finish the game within 15 minutes for ALL the ending but there is NO 5th ending even i tried MULTIPLE time trying to figure the 5th ending. Do let me know or reply me here if you guys found it.

(1) Car Crash

(2) Shot death by a thug at photo booth

(3) Shot death by the culprit leader at open area

(4) Survived and publish that file to the public.

(5) ?

Overall, did i feel like worth it? Well, at least, what i can say, i got to see a “beautiful agent”. for the cost of RM5.50, cheaper than any movie in the cinema (I’m a Malaysian). I’m a Korean drama fans, so, this will be my supportive view even though i personally think this game sux!

This game is not “good.” It has an extremely high learning curve, no tutorial, a clunky interface, poorly laid out and unintuitive quest objectives, sub-par writing, semi-frequent crashes, and is heavily dependent on the community “Combined Mod” to smooth out its rough edges.

That said, it is the best pure Pirate RPG available. But that probably says more about the gaping hole that exists in the market and less about this game itself. Aside from the brief but very welcome tangent that the Assassin’s Creed franchise took with Black Flag we have not seen a good single player pirate RPG in a long time; probably since Sid Meier’s Pirates. So if you need your pirate fix and are willing to take the time to learn this game, then you will be satisfied. But I can’t help but wonder why we haven’t seen a better Pirate game made.

It’s a fun game!

At first sight, it might seem like the game does not have a lot to offer, but after getting into it I was impressed with the details in the game.

Positive:

+The story is written well. You can find some jokes too 😂

+You get different endings relative to your choices in the game.

+We can see the decision tree at the end of the game.

+You can feel the creepy atmosphere while playing. (Rain in the night, silence and demonic figures)

+Fell in love with the funny “Quiz” feature at the end of the game. (I wanted to face it with my bare hands! 😂)

I feel a little bad that there are no other reviews(that I can see) of this title…

This is a visual novel. The story isn’t bad, but I did expect a little more as far as actual gameplay. Not bad, not great.

Diptych

Diptych

The heroes of the “Diptych” meet only for a moment. But on the battlefield of the First World War, even a moment can decide a person’s fate. Or in the case of a “Diptych”, an anthropomorphic animal, we will learn a scary story in a deceptively cute and, of course, unique style.

Features of the game:

  • Above a hundred game scenes

  • Alexey Troshin’s unique visual style was created on paper with watercolor paints and carefully transferred to the game

  • Live animated images

  • A touching story

  • Two storylines

  • Several variants of the plot development

The player will have to survive the battle on the battlefield, meet his love. And also find out the reverse side of the war behind the front line.

In the game, you will immerse yourself in a unique graphic style combined with life dialogues and atmospheric music.

You will be able to see a lot of illustrations revealing the game plot, in each scene you will learn more about the fate of the main character and experience incredible adventures in a place with him.

The game consists of more than 100 game scenes. in most scenes, you read the story and scroll through the story further.

In several scenes, you will have to find objects and solve puzzles.

Grotesque Beauty - A Horror Visual Novel

It’s been a while I played any horror novels. It felt nice for a change. I used to be a great horror fan, watched all possible horror films I could only find. It is a bit nostalgic to dive into some scary, gruesome story once in a while. Thanks.

The novel is created in dark colors, visuals look simple but quite atmospheric. The story is short but it contains 30 endings. It’s amazing how many ways exist for you to die at just one night, at one house xD I applaud to the writer’s imagination. I mean the endings are quite diverse, you may survive if you choose right, plus there are some ‘open’ endings I personally enjoy a lot. It’s up to your interpretation to decide what kind of ending it is.

The game starts with a gloomy fog covering the screen, then the silence is disturbed by the vibration of an incoming phone call. It’s your friend Anita, ringing you to make sure that you’re still coming over to her house tonight. She says that she thought you might have changed your mind, but you assure her that you’re still coming over and that you aren’t far from her house.

Realms of Eternity

Realms of Eternity

This is an impressive start to what might be an amazing game… I agree with some other reviews that the content is still in-process, but just by people who like to swing swords around and cut stuff, or shoot bows (which is actually very accurate in stark contrast to the sword-phasing in and out of contact) there is a ton of data still left on the table to be collected for refinement.

I was really impressed with the introduction of the messenger ninja, and the overall environment. Also, I had the bow & arrow mini-game freeze on me… I went back, since I was close to high score, but it froze again. boooo… Another thing with the mini-game, is that some of the enemy ninja freeze/glitch where you can’t kill them. Thus, you can not progress to the next wave.

I know this game is in Early Access and I hate to give a negative review when I can see that the developer is actively developing the game. However, what’s available right now is just not enough and it’s also not very good. It’s a nice start to what might be a good game, but I have to review the game that I played.

What’s available right now is two things. A very simple sandbox where you can cut pieces of wood / bamboo and some fruits & veggies with a sword (2 handed or 1 handed). You also have a bow & arrow wave shooter mini-game, that’s very similar to Holopoint … just not nearly half as good.

A philosophically fueled choose your own nightmare like novella. There is some pretty grim material within the readings. Strap on your David Lynch, Kafka, and other surrealism enjoyments hats because this one will be for you if you enjoy those artists and can handle dark subjects. The story is a part of a past and continual project series. The past game can played here for free. The future projects will continue to unfold the story.

The Detective Chapters: Part One

The Detective Chapters: Part One

Really enjoyed the overall story. Like the whole Goth thing that you got going here - loved those clubs back in the 80s and 90s. Except for a couple minor crashes that I was able to recover from that game is excellent and has promise. Wish there was more to the chapter but looking forward to the next!

The time I spent with The Detective Chapters: Part One mostly consisted of the playable character getting stuck on small objects I accidentally knocked over, trying the find my lost cursor, and physically writing down binary to solve a puzzle. That all came to a halt when the game got stuck 3 separate times on a day transition card reading “October 7th 2016”. From the very little I got to experience, this game feels as if it’s still a rough draft. If you decide to give The Detective Chapters a shot, you should do so in the ridiculously awesome early 2000’s graphic setting.

Without choices we’re merely going through life on a never-ending elevator

It’s been so long since I experienced a Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA), going back to my childhood days I found them fascinating because they were so simple in their design yet when you delve into the story there are a maze of choices to be made often with a grisly ending for any naive decisions. The choices were so quick to come by it meant the real challenge was staying involved in the story while striving for any new opening that would branch you further into the plot but, with so many trapdoor wrong turnings, it is easier said than done.

Disclaimer: This is not a technical critique. I’m a streamer and I will review based on whether I enjoyed games and how well my community responded to them. I hope there’s value in that to some.

This game isn’t going to blow you away visually if you’re used to ‘flashy’ games with ‘action’. However, as someone who very much enjoyed the ‘Choose Your Own Adventures’ books in my youth, it was easy for me to see beyond the not-full screen. It’s a book and as such would have looked odd if it filled the screen. It was easy to pick up what to do, and there were different difficulty levels to choose from. As someone who enjoys the ‘journey’ and to experience the stories rather than stress too much about having enough health to last the game, I elected for the easiest setting.
