Modiverse

Modiverse

The beta key for the final Modiverse update that includes unfinished cars is “kjmodbetatesters”

This game was dead on arrival. Let me get this out of the way, Modiverse wasn’t meant to be a scam, it was abandoned likely from fear.

The origins of this game (at least according to the creator, KillerJim) was that there was a dispute between KillerJim and the creator of Pavlov VR. What the dispute was about was never revealed, but it ended with Jim deciding to create a VR game being a direct competitor to Pavlov VR. Over the course of development, people were offered access to a closed beta for modders, but the majority of them didn’t have VR setups so the game’s direction was changed to be similar to both Pavlov and Garry’s Mod.

Still rather early on, but it has great potential with open source mods made by the developers to get creators a head start if they want to contribute to the workshop and the community.

There is still more to come and more support from the developers, now yes it seems rather empty and small now, but with growth and numbers this game can really take off.

We just need people to believe in the project and show support if they can.

Caravan SandWitch is designed for you to play at your own pace.

Don’t be a stranger

Get to know the locals and their stories by chatting, giving them a hand, and playing slice-of-life minigames together. They’re kind people who have been through some tough times, so it’s special when they open up to you.

It’s going to be a bumpy ride

The Last Taxi

The Last Taxi

When a fatally wounded member of an anti-technology cult leaves you with what appears to be an undocumented infant, you’re thrust into a dark network of secrets – unravelling a conspiracy that could shake Progress Point to its core.

The Last Taxi is a narrative-driven adventure game set in Progress Point, a politically and economically-divided sprawling metropolis that has fully embraced automation and human modification, creating a satirical and somberly-surreal vision of the future.

As the last human driver, you’ll meet a diverse cast of passengers, each with their own tailored conversations. Be drawn into morally challenging decisions that lead you into the heart of a dying society.

Narrative Gameplay:

As a taxi driver, your job is to keep passengers comfortable, happy and generous.

Or not?

How you interact with passengers is up to you! With varied dialogue choices and multiple endings, you can choose to keep the tips rolling in or spend all your time insulting them.

But keep in mind, gaining their trust and listening to their problems is a lucrative side business. As per Progress Point’s governmental regulations, all taxis are fitted with sleek, handy, and mandatory listening devices – for uhh… quality assurance.

If your passenger expresses something that isn’t quite above board, you can quietly report it to the authorities for some side cash. Choosing to let some shady business go unnoticed does have its perks, though. And with over 80 diverse characters to chat with, you’ll see all kinds traveling the city.

The World:

In the future, you got what you asked for – Flying cars! Unlimited time for hobbies! And the ultimate hybridization of human and machine! Or was it just flying cars you wanted…

Regardless, life in Progress Point is going pretty great. As the only standing city, we survived environmental and economic collapse because no one from the past changed their small, but destructive habits.

Status quo reigned and we’re the societal afterbirth, filled with various factions that believe in one kooky thing or another, like free will.

Oh, but that makes it sound so bleak. Really, there is a bright side.

No one needs to work anymore! The brunt of the workforce has been given to automatons …Well, unless you personally didn’t harbor a vault of cash before the collapse. If you’re one of the unlucky ones, you’ll still need to find some way to make an income, pay the bills, and find your niche in a world run by automation. As a human, you’ll just have to be creative and think outside the processor.

Features:

• Earn tips by navigating through 80 treacherous, quirky, and haunting choice-driven passenger conversations.

• Aid and abet criminal passengers, help them reconsider their actions, or report them to the authorities.

• Upgrade your taxi with new tools allowing for hijacking cargo, hacking toll booths, enhanced customer experience and more!

• Maximize fares by managing malfunctioning equipment, avoiding environmental hazards, and keeping your passengers comfortable.

• Experience a rich and detailed world of technological headquarters, mountaintop temples, sunken metropolises and pirate-infested underworlds.

• 10 hours of gameplay with 20+ unique choice-driven endings.

Lake

Lake

*This review contains plot spoilers, read at your own digression.

I’m not usually one to write a review recommending against a game, especially one I went to the trouble of getting all the achievements for, and spending almost 13 hours in.

But Lake, much to my absolute dismay, just falls very short in the places where I had thought it was meant to shine.

The charming little town of Providence Oaks, is, on paper, an alluring display. For aesthetics, Lake hits the mark. The game is beautiful, the scenery is relaxing, the aforementioned Lake is gorgeous, and at the end of 13 hours I felt a little bit sad at the thought of Meredith Weiss leaving her childhood home.

💌 Score: 4/10

I was SO excited about this game, but … when I played it.. ehh…

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good game - or… is it? I am not too sure anymore! Let’s take a look at a pros and cons list:

Pros

✔️ Relaxing, though a little monotone gameplay

✔️ Good atmosphere, especially loved the sound of the rain!

✔️ Good stylized graphics, pretty scenery

✔️ Good characters with good character design, loved that we got two love interests

✔️ Good voiceactors (with the exception of Mildred, what the heck was that lady on-)

Naturallandscape - GuilinLandscape (自然景观系列-桂林山水)

I think you should had some cities to boat around in.

Real player with 7.2 hrs in game

I enjoyed this. The motorboat is definitely the best vehicle although the chop could be slightly more realistic. . Adjustable time of day adds variety and shadow depth. there are many little alcoves to ride in and out of. It’s a large waterway that takes about 1/2 hour to get from one side to the other. I would suggest adding a narrow river-way through the center of the course, some wildlife, birds, and animals along the shores. If you just want something cheap, scenic and relaxing I would recommend this.

Lockdown Hero

Lockdown Hero

A Collectathon Platformer with Farming mechanics, Lockdown Hero is a 3d platformer where you explore your surroundings, gather materials ,learn skills in order to combat the threat of a virus. Gameplay reminds me of early 2000s platformers and farming/gathering mechanics from games such as stardew valley and animal crossing. The premise of the games is quite simple really collect resources such as alcohol and toilet paper while evading or tackling the virus. The virus itself instantly kills your player as you come in contact with it thus you need to find alcohol which kills the virus. You then manage your supply of Toilet paper and alcohol in order to buy/trade with npcs throughout the map. Npcs may also send you to do tasks that reward you such as with unlockable skills, clothing and resources. Exploration is a must as the city is where you spend most of your time and need to take a boat in order to access the other areas. Controls of this game such as double jumping and dashing feels like any 3d platformer unlocking more of these skills greatly helps your movement ability. All i can say is that Lockdown Hero is an enjoyable game with many things to do and unlockable content justt waiting to be discovered

Pros and Cons

Pros

– Lockdown Hero is a game that feels like a completely new concept and not just a (good) recycled one.

– There are many side quests in this game next to the main quest.

– There is a casino with many mini-games to play where you can earn new equipment.

– You can learn many skills to access new areas.

– The progress system feels fair and is also rewarding.

– The game continues after you have found the cure instead of just rewinding time to before finding the cure.

– The game is one of the most addictive ones I have played in a while.

Dinosaur Fossil Hunter: Prologue

Dinosaur Fossil Hunter: Prologue

This exceeded my expectations, and was very satisfying to play. For a free to play demo, I think this is great for a sim. A nice backstory, and a great taste of the full game. The idea of going from GPR to dig, encasing the fossils, shipping them, THEN cleaning the bones and building the displays was the entire spectrum, and it’s hands-on, not teleporting to the site. You have to drive there, set up the perimeter, and dig that stuff out yourself! Inspect what you dig, encase it in plaster, put it in the case, ship it, it’s the entire process, and that’s what I want in a sim. Also, you get achievements for a demo! One of them is still vexing me, but I’ll get it. Photos in the slideshow have images not in this prologue, but there is plenty here for an afternoon of fun, and I’m going to purchase day one. There’s a bit of noise about the lack of an avatar driving the car, but that is not an issue for me, and will likely be fixed in the full release of the game. Perhaps if/when gender and identity issues come up, but honestly there is no spoken dialogue, and gender-neutrality should be important in a game like this. Put tinted windows on the dang car, with a shadow, and it’s not an issue. There is enough depth and flexibility in gameplay for me.

Nauseatingly bad.

–-

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a good idea for a young children’s game here. Visually it’s interesting and there’s an attempt at adding variety with mini-games.

Unfortunately everything about it is just done poorly. The controls are slippery with a terrible lag even after turning up mouse acceleration. The camera is nauseating and just kind of floats and drifts, not always in the direction you wanted to go. I can’t go more than a few minutes without a glitch either visually or functionally, with something getting stuck on something or something falling through something. I’ve seen amateur games with more polish and less problems.
