Another great and absorbing story. I loved seeing the development of the characters, and all ended well. I’m slightly disappointed I don’t have my own dinosaur though. 10/10.

ASTRA

ASTRA

A.S.T.R.A. - a game made in 2D hand-drawn graphics, which is a collection of various mini-games in different genres.

Do you like exciting arcade games, set a new record, and pain in your eyes? Then I suggest giving this game a try!

ASTRA - artificial intelligence that controls the system in the computer space, which was captured by the virus “B” , the purpose of which is complete destruction of the OS. From time to time he will get in touch and try to do something wrong. You take on the role of a simple user facing an infection. Your goal is clear - reset the system by destroying the virus. However, the virus encrypts all the data from your eyes and does not allow it to be done so easily, and in addition, it takes a fee for each action with an impromptu currency, which will have to be earned in games in various genres. Choose a game, buy it, wait for it to load and voila! It’s on your desktop. Everything is almost like in life.

Several mini-games are waiting for you, which will definitely not let you get bored, and will challenge you to a new record.

In Platform Hero you have to literally survive using a grappling hook and a firearm, clinging to platforms. But this will not last long: the hook does not hold up, and the platform keeps dropping. It’s time to catch on to another, but no matter how it is: the enemy is moving towards the hero. It’s time to use your weapon.

Another mini-game in the space network is Planetoids . The goal is the same - to get points, simultaneously destroying asteroids. Here you have complete control over the ship, and the asteroids themselves are split into pieces, which can be caught game over once again.

Dino Island - a runner in which you play as a dinosaur. You have to jump over stones and trees and periodically turn into a pterodactyl, also flying around obstacles.

Global Pandemic

Global Pandemic

The plan was to experiment with Dinosaur and Zombie DNA.

The plan was NOT to create a virus, NOT to let it out, and NOT to effect the whole world.

The vast majority of the population of the planet died within months. Those that remained either “Turned” vicious and feral, or if immune to the pandemic, live their lives as bandits. All are dangerous. Not to mention the Dinosaurs…

Game Play

Set in a post-apocalyptic open world, you can create bases through building, and create items through crafting. Loot is available to find throughout the world. Manage your own inventory, and use containers such as lockers, crates, kitchen cupboards, and more.

Bandits, the Turned (Zombies), wild animals, and even dinosaurs (optionally!) will seek to kill you. You will also have to deal with thirst, hunger and the elements.

Explore the ever-growing world, full of places to discover, by running or using vehicles. From military bases, to abandoned villages - from motels to remote buildings - from hidden caves to farms - every update brings more to discover and encounter, in Global Pandemic.

An innovative skills and stats system will see your character develop in your own game style (or set all to fully developed if you prefer!).

Can you survive? Who will you be? What world will you create?

Secret word: Purge

Chance of survival: Extremely High

Sorry, but I’m not satisfied with this test. The mind gymnastics was nice but I left this test not finding a closure. I wish Steve would start cracking up a joke or become heart-to-heart with me, just like the other test givers.

The questions are disorganized and far too odd. I don’t see the pattern leading up to my first answer.

On the good side, the music is fine. The ending managed to make me feel… an unknown yet strong emotion. I can’t quite put my finger on it. The questions do make me think about what really matters to me in a life or death situation,

Kinda like those psychological tests you can do on the internet, but more fun.

I like to review hypothetical scenarios and think about how I would actually choose in those situations.

Like all kinds of those tests tho, some questions could really use some more context or additional Information as sometimes several choices could be the “best choice” for survival, depending on the circumstances of the individual situation.

My result was: Very high chances of survival on the mental asylum through planning and manipulation of the other patients and the asylum staff.

Furry Shakespeare: Oops! All Dragons!

I do so enjoy these quirky little stories! Oh and I totally am not even slightly biased at all about the cast of this one all being dragons ; p

What can I say if you have played any of the games by Stegalosaurus and enjoyed them, this one will bring you more of what you have enjoyed in the past. Humor? Check! Strange unexpected plot twists? Check! The option to take things seriously and try to make the right choices, or say to Hades and blow it all up on purpose? You bet! Opportunities to meddle in other peoples lives and relationships, while pointedly ignoring your own? lol of course! hmmmm here’s a new one, love triangle???? Well some one does mention the idea…. But I havnt found it yet (although the two who “play” brother and sister would really make for an incredibly confusing one! lmao I can see it now….. but yeah that doesnt happen).

SHAKESPEARE? More like THIRSTspeare, amirite?

You know the drill. It’s a dating sim. But wait: not just any dating sim! One (or more) of your crushes like dating sims, and you, a humble programmer, have decided that is what you will make IN ORDER TO WIN THEIR HEART.

  • Create a cast

  • Write your dating sim over five acts

  • Use various skills such as actually talking to your crush to figure out what they like, and then put that in the game!

  • Navigate the new world as an independent developer!

Good luck! You’ll need it! Unless you’ve already played this game and have memorized what to do!

Dinosaur Fossil Hunter: Prologue

Dinosaur Fossil Hunter: Prologue

This exceeded my expectations, and was very satisfying to play. For a free to play demo, I think this is great for a sim. A nice backstory, and a great taste of the full game. The idea of going from GPR to dig, encasing the fossils, shipping them, THEN cleaning the bones and building the displays was the entire spectrum, and it’s hands-on, not teleporting to the site. You have to drive there, set up the perimeter, and dig that stuff out yourself! Inspect what you dig, encase it in plaster, put it in the case, ship it, it’s the entire process, and that’s what I want in a sim. Also, you get achievements for a demo! One of them is still vexing me, but I’ll get it. Photos in the slideshow have images not in this prologue, but there is plenty here for an afternoon of fun, and I’m going to purchase day one. There’s a bit of noise about the lack of an avatar driving the car, but that is not an issue for me, and will likely be fixed in the full release of the game. Perhaps if/when gender and identity issues come up, but honestly there is no spoken dialogue, and gender-neutrality should be important in a game like this. Put tinted windows on the dang car, with a shadow, and it’s not an issue. There is enough depth and flexibility in gameplay for me.

Nauseatingly bad.

–-

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a good idea for a young children’s game here. Visually it’s interesting and there’s an attempt at adding variety with mini-games.

Unfortunately everything about it is just done poorly. The controls are slippery with a terrible lag even after turning up mouse acceleration. The camera is nauseating and just kind of floats and drifts, not always in the direction you wanted to go. I can’t go more than a few minutes without a glitch either visually or functionally, with something getting stuck on something or something falling through something. I’ve seen amateur games with more polish and less problems.

Raptor Boyfriend: A High School Romance

Raptor Boyfriend: A High School Romance

Admittedly, I am really not one for visuals novels as a whole. Rather, I tend to be far more critical of any writing-focused media, which leads me to come across as hyper negative and critical about the works I am providing feedback on.

With that in mind, I hope this comes as a breath of fresh air because, much to my own surprise, I have been thoroughly enjoying this game.

The writing is fairly competent and many of its odd little quirks generally don’t stay too long passed their welcome. There are a couple of cringe-inducing moments, but they are either intentional or feel in line with the characters and setting involved. There is honestly not too much I could weigh in on here because I have the feeling the creators already have an adequate enough understanding of pacing given how little filler is present in the dialogue.

I was drawn in by the unique art style, especially for the genre, and prospect of dating a totally radical raptor and got fully invested.

Raptor Boyfriend is a rather goofy coming of age romance that is able to organically use its premise to tell a heartwarming story that also tackles serious issues. You may play a girl aiming to kiss a stunt performing prankster raptor but her social anxieties, his personal struggles and how their feelings for each other develop are very much real.

I played all the routes and while the episodic format can make each come off a little formulaic, the main love interests still have their unique conflicts, are all interesting and sincere, and every path is well-written. Nonetheless, the titular raptor boyfriend touched me the most emotionally to the extent that I found myself playing through his route repeatedly.
