Code 3: Police Response

Code 3: Police Response

Code 3 is a tactical police based first person shooter developed for the PC made by police and police support personnel. The game places the player in the shoes of a patrol officer in your average American city. The player will be able to take on the role of that officer and respond to various calls for service and act appropriately. Calls will be dispatched to the player who will resolve the issue at hand. Although some calls will be less dynamic than others, the game is developed for entertainment, and many calls will involve stressful and/or dangerous situations. It will be up to the player to decide the best course of action in each situation.

Since the game is being developed and created by police and police support personnel, there is a theme of realism regarding radio traffic, types of calls, and available resources. Dispatches are given by real life dispatchers, and levels/scenarios are created with the guidance and knowledge of working police officers including both current patrol and SWAT level officers. Although some elements are included for entertainment and enjoyment purposes, the focus of the game is on providing realistic situations for the player to face based on police experiences.

We look forward to working with our community through Steam Early Access to allow Code 3 to have an entertaining blend of realism and fun. Come check us out at the 109 Below forums and in Steam discussions to be a part of the Code 3 team today!

1917: The Prologue

1917: The Prologue is a first-person narrative-driven psychological horror game with strong room escape elements mixed into it. 1917 seems to be an excellent psychological horror set back in fall 1917, right after the Russian Revolution. The developers have gone to great lengths to set the mood appropriately for the era, with its design concept, gameplay, voice acting, puzzles, etc.

Hi to all!

The game has a great storytelling potential and I suppose that developers will improve their style - it will be better to add more visual animations and effects, than many lists of text. If no - I no see any reason to use UE4 for this game.

The effects with wall pictures and effect of grammophone in the third room - incredible!

Game has deep atmosphere and good sound support!

Also I would want to notice developer attention that graphics become so bad when you choose epic parameter for it, but when you choose just higj value - it become better.

## Late Shift

There are a few really good FMV games around but in general there is a drought of this genre so people who love this kind of game just have to take what they are given. Late Shift is good but the lack of a skip function really drags the playtime out and I found myself 100%-ing this game with a grimace on my face towards the end. Don't get me wrong, the story was good but it wasn't good enough to keep me engaged and to play through it in fully 9 times. [See the full review here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndrR3rAR9L4)

This looks great, and is surprisingly interesting as a movie. As others have said, it's probably the most successfully implemented FMV game ever made, which isn't really that high of a mountain to climb. In fact, it's probably more successful as a movie than as a game. There's not much "play" in it, and what there is is fatally undermined by the design.

The theme of the game, spelled out by the protagonist in the opening narration, is that choices define who you are. And more specifically they define who you are internally - your reason for making a certain decision is, in many ways, more important than what the decision actually was.

## Valley General Hospital: NiVR

When it comes to learning a life-saving skill or refreshing existing knowledge in a medical environment, no product exists like Valley General Hospital.

Valley General simulations are accurately representative of hospital environments. We present the truest to life training scenario from the audio environment to equipment interaction and lighting to accessories. Interactions are closely modelled on the real life-saving equipment for the most accurate and available learning.

Our VR approach to training exploits the capabilities of immersive technology to put the participant in the most convincing environment without using a single consumable or taking life-saving devices out of operation.

## Wanderlust: Travel Stories

- Wanderlust: Travel Stories -

I'm old. I've played a lot of games. I've played games that were in cassette form. I've played the first Civ game off a bunch of floppies… so quite a bit of gaming history up to now, 2020\. I've played AAA titles, I've played the very best the 80's and 90's had to offer. I've played some absolute stinkers, and I've played games that are simply unplayable. My expectations are always set to medium/ low.

Despite all of that experience, Wanderlust is still very hard to love.

### Explore the world from your desk!

Overall, **Wanderlust: Travel Stories** is a very pleasant, calming experience, one that feels as though it should be played in the same way one might curl up with a good book. Both the stories and broader narrative are interesting and it is a strong interactive novel, however, there are additional gameplay elements and mechanics integrated with just enough subtlety. Destination, travel methods, interactions and even choice of clothes can affect both character and story but this didn’t feel intrusive or hectic in any way and all the elements combine organically to create a somewhat meditative piece of interactive escapism.

Fun little game that gets astoundingly difficult in later levels. Definitely consider buying it if you enjoy traditional puzzle games of the likes of Sokoban. Contains enough levels to provide days if not weeks of intense pondering.
