The Fabulous Fear Machine
The Fabulous Fear Machine is a narrative-driven strategy game with a pulp horror style, from the creators of Do Not Feed the Monkeys. You play as a newly minted Master of the Machine, having been called to greatness by its mysterious keeper. To pursue your goals, you must generate and spread fear through the careful cultivation of various Legends—those scary stories, urban myths, and conspiracy theories that lurk in the dark corners of the mind.
What are your deepest desires? If wealth is what you seek, nothing empties store shelves faster than a panic. Power? A fearful man is a loyal one, it’s true. Glory? Well… now you’ve got our attention. Everything you’ve ever dreamed of is within your reach, with The Fabulous Fear Machine.
Horror evolved. Plant the seeds of fear in fertile ground. Watch and listen to how the media reacts to your Legends. Feed them, then see them grow more powerful and effective.
The job done right. Your strength is in strategizing; leave the dirty work to your Agents. Send them to explore new locations and infiltrate your enemies, making interesting choices along the way.
An equal and opposite reaction. Rivals and the forces of good alike seek to undo the Machine’s influence for their own ends. Plan accordingly, or you may find your own Legends twisted into inspirational stories, mascots, or other sugary-sweet clichés.
Think globally, scare locally. Many Legends are drawn from the unique cultural history of specific countries. Travel the world, and learn what terrors each populace delights in.
A tale as old as time. You’ll direct the stories of several Masters operating in different regions of the world. Along the way, explore the history of the Machine, its enemies, and the Agents who aid you.
Presented by AMC Games and SHUDDER. Early development of the game was supported by Red.es and FEDER (European Regional Development Fund).

Card game with simple mechanics where you have to choose one path or another, not much of branching here. Anyway it is enjoyable, especially for the price author asking for it. It also could be a lot of fun playing with friends and family.
I would love to see author adding more randomness and third-party(nature?) playing against you or more challenging events when player progresses into the game, to make things worse.

No Place for the Dissident
While I am recommending this, I would highly suggest you wait for a sale or until the price lowers. It’s not a bad game and has some cool mechanics, but it isn’t something that’s worth $20 unless you really think It’ll scratch a niche you have. While sometimes fun, it needs more polish to be worth the price it’s asking for, at least in my opinion. Here’s a bullet point review:
The Good:
- Ideology spreads through points on the map that interact with each other instead of having each country just be a tap made up of abstract numbers. They even have different population densities. Looking at waves of orange overflow a country is somewhat neat to look at.

It’s okay. It will be better if they add more features and streamline the actions for smaller countries. Otherwise it will remain more tedious than fun.
It could be really cool if they keep updating it.

Pestis
This is a really good game, the best game I ever bought on steam for less than 50 cents. The concept is awesome and executed very well with the atmosphere and the theme it all just sort of gets you into the mood of the game and collecting herbs to make and mix potions is just really fun and interesting and there is so many ways to go about how you play the game from saving everyone, killing everyone, killing rats and making bombs to destroy their nest healing your self with potions and eating shrooms to stave off the plague and death. Just all around a cool indie game that you can play on a potato pc or even a calculator and its so cheap and so affordable how can you not get this game? The steam achievements are easy to get and look cool to.

Pestis would be a decent high-score game if it had leaderboards and more maps. Right now it has 1 map and 6 relatively easy achievements, hardly any reason to play it for more than 30 minutes. I think the artwork and animation are decent for what it is. You play as a plague doctor that is trying to cure a small village, and the game certainly captures that sinister atmosphere. The gameplay incorporates the potion mixing mechanic, although the system is very basic. There is some potential for improving your resource management, but without leaderboards I don’t see the appeal. I think if the developer can add at least 2 more locations it would be serviceable (urban area and catacombs perhaps?). It has a partial support for controller despite not being listed on the store page. My F310 works fine, but you can’t rebind it from default state.

Isolation Story
I received a copy of this game from the dev to Let’s Play it and I really enjoyed my time with it. This is a survival game heavily inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic where you need to survive for 7 days until a vaccine can be created and deployed.
You’ll need to manage your character’s health, hunger and happiness. It’s oddly addictive and has a surprising amount of stuff to do given how small the city is. Including tons of achievements to try and complete, and even a way to time travel.

Corona Simulator
Its not a bad game to be honest. I thought it would’ve been. The game has great execution, a good amount of actions to do (could use more though) but it does need some things. It needs a sandbox mode and workshop support because I feel those both could really help the game reach its full potential. All in all…I completely recommend this game. Albeit it doesn’t have a lasting appeal because it only has like 5 missions or so.

Just A Flu
In Just A Flu, you take on the task of saving the region from the deadly fast spreading disease. ‘Patient Zero’ is infected, and you have minimal resources and time to stop the catastrophe.
Decide how to deal with infected people, when to close transport hubs, declare quarantine, or lockdown. Think not only about anti-pandemic measures but also how to avoid panic and not destroy the economy, causing more harm. The disease is growing and changing. You’ll be constantly rethinking measures taken to minimize pandemic consequences.

-
