Space to Grow
Honestly I felt the game went for quantity over quality with the concepts and characters. I’d pay 4.99 on this, but I regret spending 9.99. The initial game “Our Personal Space” was very adorable and I thought about the game well after I stopped playing, which is why I caved and bought this. It’s obvious a lot of effort and care was put into this game, but i think if it would of taken longer and the team gave more time to the development, it would of been a much more well rounded, in-depth game.

Overview
Full disclosure: I am married to one of this game’s developers! That said, here is my honest review.
I feel that this game fills a really excellent niche that I haven’t seen much elsewhere. It delivers a mix of visual novel, simulation, and choose-your-own-adventure elements, and provides a fun what-if romp filled with parenting decisions, space colonization struggles, farm management tradeoffs. I’ll go over some of the main elements below.
Overall
We’ll start with the overview, then get into the details further on down.

Growing Up
Interesting spin on the “visual novel” genre that is lovingly crafted, but has its issues and is not quite as expansive as the store page makes it out to be. Still, considering the price, it is worth it, and given the casual nature and the topic, also suitable for people just interested in trying out this kind of games, or for those who would be turned off by weeb stuff.
Rating: 7/10
As is obvious, the game revolves around growing up and going through all of the early stages of life, and it does a remarkably good job at it too, at times at least. The characters, although in some regards laden with cliches, are fairly well written and I am not ashamed to admit, objectively looking at how I behaved and what I thought as a teenager especially, and what I remember of my friends, this is pretty spot on, lol. Unfortunately, the earlier stages of the game are quite rushed, and they are more of a short tutorial than anything, which is a bit of a wasted oportunity - the game really starts when you reach teen years.

UPDATED REVIEW @ 22 Hrs:
Growing Up is a life simulation that fairly-accurately simulates the experience of growing up in a relatively affluent family in a reasonably well-to-do area of the United States in the mid-to-late 1990s.
I’m a fan of this game for a lot of reasons. The writing is pretty good, and the resource management gameplay is challenging enough to be fun while never feeling unfair or too difficult. The music ranges from unobtrusive to fantastic, and the interface is intuitive; simple without being too stupid (more on this below). If you’re a fan of resource management games, or if you like visual novels and don’t mind some casual gameplay mixed in, this is one to pick up even at full price.

The concept of the game is easy. Clicking cards ,but earning all of the achievements and trying not to fail is the hard part. I the game you have to make choices which either let you live your life and complete that chapter, or make you lose a heart. Once you lose all of your hearts you are forced to restart the chapter.

## Food Decisions
The main gameplay is to compare the values and select the food needed for the task. Generally speaking, this game is boring, but it taught me a lot of common sense. Let me realize the importance of healthy diet. With that in mind, I decided to give a good review.

The game makes little sense , most of the time i die after a couple of clicks on random events
i once raided another settelment , got ripped in two
it took me a few minutes of gameplay to even understand that i can click on different houses in the settelment to make changes and hire men
its just not fun for me , it doesn't cost much so if you want , give it a shoot , i did (still not for me)

This game is pretty unassuming, but I think the simplicity of the gameplay works in favor for the overall game. With smart humour and surprisingly meta writing, Reigns: Her Majesty exceeded all expectations I had of this game I bought on a whim. I expected something cute and short, but I got a satirical game with a surprisingly deep political system.
The game operates much like a typical Tinder app (swipe left or right for positive or negative reactions). It expands upon this by adding a political edge to it, such that your answers have consequences on the four pillars of your kingdom (Church, People, Military, and Wealth). Surprisingly, this simple system was able to weave politics into its scenarios well, especially since as a ruler and leader, your decisions will have consequences. Eventually, if those consequences rack up, then you go out just like if you were in Game of Thrones - usually, that means death. It's actually pretty hard to stay alive in this game until much later, and my first few runs as queen ended quite unfortunately under the boots of my citizens due to their love for me, or because I drowned in a lake since my carriage of pure gold broke. Fun times in queendom!

## Reigns
I didn't really know what to expect from Reigns… at first glance during the summer sale (but ended up paying full price) it looked like a novel game mechanic, with just enough silliness to be worth the miniscule asking price of £1.99\.
It looked like something I would:
Be able to dip into occasionally for giggles
Be able to walk away from without feeling cheated on a run session
Feel I got reasonable value for my purchase without a huge commitment
But I really didn't expect it would deliver that much.

Your choices matter in this game. Results may be unpredictable and there is no guarantee of satisfaction or success but the game itself entices you to keep coming back for more in hopes of finding all characters/deaths/endings/secrets/cards as each playthrough is unique with thousands of cards available to be shown.
Actual gameplay is very simple and intuitive: swipe either left or right to make choices that impact your reign which is represented through four distinct meters at top of the screen (church, citizens, army, and wealth). Every decision that you make influences one or more meters in one way or another and it is imperative that you keep all four meters balanced so that none becomes either completely filled or empty–doing so would unquestionably bring your reign to an end. Though sometimes the results of each decision may be completely arbitrary or nonsensical such that the effect on your four meters will often leave you scratching your head and wondering what had just happened. Most of the time, you will also likely wonder what would have happened had you made a different decision.

## The Great Plague Exodus
Had the opportunity to play this game on stream. For an early beta, I think it's absolutely wonderful! It gives off Oregon Trails and text-based adventure vibes, which I absolutely love. The fact that it's historical fiction is a bonus, too! The only thing I would like to mention is that sometimes the options during random events show as blank text boxes, and the drop-down menu for the entertainment doesn't always show the options. These are all easy fixes, and didn't really affect the game play for me as I find random/blind choices to add to the experience (just a personal opinion, I know you need to make educated decisions in a game like this).

Great initial concept game, a little buggy but can get a few enjoyable plays, difficulty is reasonably easy but with no way of changing this.
Good game that could be made into something really special, so much potential for more content, more freedom of movement (currently you travel the country on a linear track). kudos to the sound and artwork design, very nicely done.
The game is a touch buggy, but these are not game ending in most cases.
Look forwards to seeing how this game develops
