Imagine Lifetimes

Imagine Lifetimes

I personally really enjoyed this game. I first played it from before it’s Steam release (thanks to GrayStillPlays) so I somewhat knew what to do. The Steam release added a few features that I was glad to see like achievements and scene skips.

I love games like this one. Simple, but deep. Deep, but also doesn’t take itself too seriously. It makes you think about things but never shoves it in your face. I quite enjoyed all the references too. Some of the endings were a bit out there, but that’s part of the fun.

There are certain cruelties this game that presents you with that prevent me from classifying it as fun.

Within the game there are advertisements for the developers other games, and I had to reset the game (the intro sequence is waaay too long.) to escape them. The options for this game are super limited. I get there’s only so much you can do with a game like this. It just feels dull and monotonous. Playing through multiple times is not rewarding at all, and this game does NOT respect your time or intellect.

ok first of all this is like a remix to the old app richies plank experience wich was fun back then and had a few different modes with more scenery for 15.00 … this one has 1 mode only and not much to look at yes the graphics are a bit better than richies and u can set up the boards crooked or make them bigger or smaller etc thats really bout it its a ride up the mountain and then walk out of the cargo onto 5 steps way up in air.. yet in richies you was higher… im refunding this because for what it is now its not worth 15.00 at all u need to drop it to 8.00 for the little content there otherwise you aint gonna have anyone buy this…. graphics wise 7.5 out of 10 and why are the peoples faces in this charcoal black? but im sorry i cant recommend this at 15.00 noway… add some more modes like richies has if your gonna charge that price!!

Little Brother Jim

Little Brother Jim

Little Brother Jim is an interesting game that is a bit of a departure from Mr. Bodur’s previous titles. The story begins with a taxi/parking simulator that is colorful, fun, and challenging at times. I had little previous experience with driving games so I crashed into cones, left and right, as I built my skills up. By the end, I was speeding through turns and jumping over obstacles!

In between the parking levels, there is a beautiful story about family, love, and the brevity of life. The scenery is gorgeous and I enjoyed reading the letters left by Jim.

Overall good game depending on price paid - it’s worth noting that I received this for free via a competition and though I would pay for this game I wouldn’t pay more than £3. This is due to the fact that it is a very short game and there is a statement in the credits which undermines the whole perception of the story

! as you are lead to believe it is a true story but it is in fact fiction which really ruined it for me

At first, I felt like I was reading someones diary or invading someones personal life in some way. However, after playing for a short while I found the story intriguing and continued to complete the game. The driving game is easy and basic but surprisingly fun if your looking for a chilled play. The walking sim is beautiful and accompanied by a peaceful, pretty soundtrack.

Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.

With the borders closed due the current pandemic, you can at least travel in your mind while playing this game.

Take a trip with your brother-in-law onboard the Russian Trans-Siberian Railway, the longest railway line in the world. You are starting from Moskow and (maybe) reach Vladivostok a few days later. The game plays like a visual novel, with a map of Russia showing your progress and photographs illustrating the journey. Keep your stress level low and your fatigue under control while managing your travel budget. Meet people while travelling, and get along with your brother-in-law. There are many decisions to make, which can lead to quite different journeys by train (or other means).

Full disclosure - I was involved in early testing for this game. I can tell you the lead developer is really respoinsive and a joy to work with. That’s the reason this game keeps getting better, and is well worth the $$. Aside from that, this is an honest review for a really fun, must-have in my opinion, VR game that’s for everyone. I love dragons myself, like just about everyone that’s faithfully watched Game of Thrones, or any other similar story, the dragons are the best part. I had been looking for a dragon-riding game and this is one of the best.

Amazing atmosphere and beautiful scenery.

It does not work on oculus rift but you can see try the game without a VR device.

At some point it loops back to beginning lol. I tried twice and wasted almost an hour of my life. This is more of a VR high school project than a game.

Through the Darkest of Times

Through the Darkest of Times

Through the Darkest of Times is an immersive, story-driven game that gives you a first-person perspective of Germany slowly coming apart by the growing Nazi regime.

The gameplay is simple. You start as a tiny resistance movement whose ultimate goal is to reveal the truth of the Nazi government and to help those persecuted by them. Your group grows as you gather supporters, raise funds, gather resources, and recruit more members. Your members can also use their background, affiliation, and traits (Ex: Athletic communist baker, Social democratic lawyer) to their advantage by doing missions that favor their certain trait. In the meantime, you also have to watch your back carefully and to ensure your members heat doesn’t go too high, otherwise they might get a knock on their front door from the Gestapo and be arrested.

Real player with 11.7 hrs in game

Through the Darkest of Times sees you play through the events of Hitler’s reign from the perspective of a small cell of political dissidents. These may be disgruntled trade unionists seeking to protect the people, or they may be religious conservatives looking to end the persecution of Jews. The gameplay segments are interspaced with visual-novel style narrative sections that see you interacting with scenes of police violence, book burnings and more.

The gameplay itself isn’t a novel invention, to the point that if you’ve played similar games about talent-management a tutorial is not needed. Each in game week you can assign your 5 resistance members to missions either alone or in groups with the core stats of these team members impacting their ability to succeed or limit the risk of failure. Some missions are ticking clocks that require immediate action, others will be goals to work towards as opportunities and resources come available. The balancing of the resources in my three hour play session does a good job of reinforcing the despair of being unable to combat the nazi regime on every front.

Climber: Sky is the Limit

Climber: Sky is the Limit

Climber: Sky is the Limit is a game with a unique mixture of survival and simulation. As a player, you are a climber who takes on the most difficult and dangerous peaks on earth. To succeed you need to plan your journey carefully by preparing appropriate equipment, choosing a suitable trail, facing extreme weather conditions, and surviving. Conquer your limits, overcome your fear and reach the sky.

Reach the summit

Each expedition is different, and the journey to the top is a great challenge. Conquer your fear, face your limits and reach the summit. In order to do that: traverse dangerous trails using specialized equipment such as ice ax, lifelines, or carabiners.

Face numerous dangers

During the journey, you will face diverse obstacles like blizzards, chasms, vertical walls, steep traverses, icy slopes, and crevasses. The key to success is to plan your next steps wisely and use the appropriate equipment at the right time.

Plan your expedition

Before setting off, decide which trail is best to the top taking into account weather conditions and the weather windows. Sometimes it’s better to take a chance and choose a more difficult route, but thanks to this you will be able to reach the summit before a snowstorm.

Survival

The key to survival is to have appropriate tools when you need one. Each piece of equipment has its weight but also makes your next step harder. Ensure you have enough food to recover your strengths, or you have a warm jacket and sleeping bag to warm up after a full-day climb.

Good timing also plays a great role during the expedition. In the high mountains, where weather changes quickly and night falls very fast, plan ahead to set up camp in the right place that gives you a chance to recover before the next challenging day.

Key Features

  • Scale some of the world’s most famous peaks like Everest, K2, Broad Peak, and others.

  • Face a variety of environmental challenges from chasms, vertical walls, steep traverses, icy slopes, treacherous crevasses, and more.

  • Use specialized equipment to traverse dangerous trails and slopes like ice axes, carabiners, and lifelines.

  • Contend with and plan around harsh weather conditions like blizzards, extreme wind, and plummeting temperatures.

  • Keep up your health and strength by balancing stamina, morale, temperature, and hunger.

  • Plan every point of your journey, packing only the necessities, choosing your path (will you take the safer route or the risky one?), preparing for each day’s trek and weather conditions.

  • Vie for contracts from sponsors for a chance to buy extra equipment and fund future excursions, but be advised they may include incredible challenges.

  • An immersive experience that has been created to be as realistic as possible through consulting expert mountaineers.
