Do you want to play a party game without breaking friendships? Then mealmates is for you. This sequel is a direct upgrade from the first game, where you can do more than just spoil your mealmate, play minigames and give him away to be eaten. You can customize your mealmate with clothes you can find in the “neighbourhood”, cook recipes which can later be bought in the shops and unlock things by completing achievements.

The replayability is GOLD, the music is GOLD, the game itself is just GOLD.

Worth the money. Some day I will invite my friends to give this a try.

MicroWorks

MicroWorks

MicroWorks is a fast-paced online party game centered around microgames - small tasks with very minimal time to complete.

Players are lumped together in the nexus tower, where they compete against each other to climb the scoreboard and emerge victorious with the highest score by the end of the game.

Score is earned by successfully performing microgames - smash an object, jump over laser beams, reach the other end of an obstacle course, solve a math equation - throw a watermelon at your opponents? The list is long, and the faster you do them, the higher your awarded score will be! But fail to perform them, and you won’t be awarded any at all.

Before each game ends, players must face one final “Boss Stage” - a bigger game worth bigger points.

MicroWorks is fast without pause - microgames will keep coming at you consecutively as they become increasingly faster with each one. Keep up with the tempo and outplay your opponents to win!

FEATURES

  • Over 50 microgames, each with different variations - totalling in over 200 ways to be tested on the tower!

  • At least 15 boss stages.

  • Multiple gamemodes (along with team variants) such as Scorematch, where players compete to get the highest score, or Survival, where failure means death, and the last player standing wins.

  • Up to 16 players in a server, as well as the ability to play alone.

  • Mutators allowing you to change almost every setting of your game, including the microgame rotation! Hate that one unbalanced microgame that everyone keeps losing to? Just exclude it from the match.

  • Workshop support for cosmetics and custom microgames.

  • More and more to come..

Swords & Souls: Neverseen

Swords & Souls: Neverseen

So this was a flash game before it became a actual game on steam. Originally just swords and souls, I waited like…say 4 years to play this game. And I sure as heck wasn’t disappointed.

Pros:

Graphics are eye-candy, perfect fantasy pop, or whatever you wanna describe it as.

Humor, had me chuckle a few times, however I will say in order to get most of them you had to of played the games they made before. So…you might wanna do that.

Combat, you auto attack and so do your companions, however you’re able to do skills and block or dodge attacks, sometimes in order to avoid a hit you need to dodge, blocking does nothing, etc. Think rock, paper, scissors, but with club, sword, magic. You can also choose different weapon types, changing the skill you get with it. Want a spear? Sure, you attack right away with the special ability, and weaken the hit opponent for two turns, however you don’t deal as much damage as say the great sword. And if you want the great sword you have a sweep fit for a group of enemies, however you loose the shield, thus taking more damage.

I’ve played this game a bit (I know steam says some stupid number of hours, but I left it open while I was doing a bunch of other stuff because of the passive income), and it’s been extremely fun.

The rough gist is that you enter combats, earn money from those combats until you can’t win anymore, then play minigames to increase your skills, and you buy better equipment so you can win more combats. It sounds really simple, and it is, but good fucking god is it fun.

There are 5 stats - melee, ranged, soulcery, defense, and agility. Each of them has a unique minigame.

Message from the developer:

Greetings! My name is Mikhail. I’m the creator of Zulin Time. First and foremost, I’d like to thank you for choosing my game. I hope you like it and have lots of fun playing it. To be honest, I’ve been waiting for someone to create a game like this for quite a while, alas no one did… Thus, I had to take matters into my own hands! Plus, I just love making games and hope to have a chance to bring more of my ideas to life. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!

The Perfect Tower II

The Perfect Tower II

I have been playing this game on early access for 2 months now (since apparently we’re flexing playtime in reviews I have 1475 hours). I’ve played a lot of idle games before but this is the first one that managed to keep me hooked more then a few days. There are a few reasons for that :

  • the content is very varied, much more then any other idle game I’ve seen before, with a lot of different buildings that feel like different games but somehow tie together really well (you can fight bosses, optimize a factory that feels a lot like modded Minecraft, or try to get the highest possible scores in the various experiments of the laboratory, and a lot more…)

I don’t typically do reviews. Usually someone else said it better and didn’t take 13 pages to say it. But for whatever reason I felt the urge to hear my own sweet Cherry keystrokes and here we are. Hi.

First off, this is probably one of the most, if not thee most advanced TD variant out there. It’s extremely involved and has system upon system that initially don’t seem too connected but everything assuredly is. Don’t go into this expecting Desktop Tower Defense 1.5 (My first TD game back on Kong). This will take hours to fully understand if you go in blind and don’t read a guide. The ingame help wasn’t much help when I started and the updates to it still don’t seem like they would be too helpful. But if you stick to it, the systems and loop aren’t in some foreign language and can be figured out with some time and effort.

BomberX

BomberX

The game of childhood. Exciting - it would seem that the gameplay is straightforward. But placing bombs, thinking where to escape from the explosion and from enemies, and listening to music - the head turns off, and a day passes, and not an hour after the game. A variety of levels, enemies. The real strategic game is to understand when, where and why. Recommend!

– Real player with 1.7 hrs in game

BomberX is a pretty fun little arcade blocky game. It reminds me a lot of that old game a lot of us used to play in our childhood, Atomic Bomberman.

Keep in mind right from the start that the game’s in very Early Access and there’s bound to be some issues around. But, with the help of the players, the team behind this unpolished gem could create something great.

Things are basic and easy to get right into. You load the game, and you can play either offline mode with bots or jump into the multiplayer with other people.

DragonRideVR

DragonRideVR

edit after the recent updates

Dragon ride is more incredible again the best dragon game we could wish and has a lot of new modes

rhytm and ride it is awesome ,we can use swords and a ot of others weapons in rythm with music

the free fly mode is wonderfull , we could not have more the feeling to be on a dragon on the air , on the ground , in the water ( with a lot of customisation to unlock)

and mini games modes amazing like using crossbow with power up or do treasure hunt to find the eggs of the dragon and where giant crossbows try to kill you

– Real player with 88.7 hrs in game

Full disclosure - I was involved in early testing for this game. I can tell you the lead developer is really respoinsive and a joy to work with. That’s the reason this game keeps getting better, and is well worth the $$. Aside from that, this is an honest review for a really fun, must-have in my opinion, VR game that’s for everyone. I love dragons myself, like just about everyone that’s faithfully watched Game of Thrones, or any other similar story, the dragons are the best part. I had been looking for a dragon-riding game and this is one of the best.
