Devil’s Hunt

Devil’s Hunt

Updated on the 05 February 2021 - All fixes and changes will be underlined.

Devil’s Hunt is a mess of a game. It shouldn’t have left the oven. With all the problems surrounding this game, and the developers going bankrupt, there is probably no hope left for it.

In case you didn’t know, the studio that made this game never let it’s staff know that they were going under. People were working to get this game done without getting paid, just to try and make a name for themselves, and one day they get to the office just to find it empty with their belongings on the trash.

Literally some of the worst money I have ever spent. When I put this game on my wish list, it was because I thought the premise would be interesting but it seems that and the graphics are all it has going for it.

Characters: Protagonist is a rich spineless whiny indecisive wuss with heavy daddy issues. His daddy sounds like he got his backdoor kicked in a few dozen times throughout his life. The devil sounds like he had his backdoor kicked in a few thousand more times throughout his life span. His girl is a disgusting high society airhead. His best friend is a predator who forces himself on his girlfriend while she is out of her mind and he still considers him a friend because you know hes a spineless wuss so what could he do but forgive and forget? Sawyer, the saw & Gabriel were the only well written characters and they aren’t explored too extensively.

Kill Fish

Kill Fish

Kill Fish is an indie game with a linear storyline. Hero is almost dead from fatigue in the forest, but someone founds him. Next morning he wakes up in the house of the girl who saved him. As the game progresses, you collect notes with fragments of an important story for the girl. In an attempt to protect her and survive on your own, you kill monsters on the way.

I liked the keyboard controls better. If you, like me, accidentally passed the control tips at the first levels, their full list can be found in the settings menu.

I enjoyed what this game offered even if it was really short. The creatures including the bosses had nice looks to them and their mechanics were pretty cool.

I did come across 2 bugs, One was the tentacle creatures not spawning in the beginning level where you come across a well in the beginning of the game and the 2nd bug also had to do with the same creature where I believe if you kill them off screen there was a chance of the noises they make getting stuck on a loop, becoming distorted and loud. The controls were also non responsive at times which made the game annoying at parts.

Hippocampus: Dark Fantasy Adventure

Hippocampus: Dark Fantasy Adventure

Unplayable mess. I can live with plain ugly graphics but not when it’s the best part of the game nevertheless.

It’s not souls-like at all (it was the reason why I bought it) because there are no souls/experience, no leveling, no char stats, no inventory, no stamina, no death run … no nothing.

There are parcur elements which you will repeat tens of times each because of how poorly they are designed. It’s necessary to hit very small objects during jumps, double jumps and/or free fall, hit them under very specific angle and at the same time rotate camera in three dimensions (while the screen is shaking and/or tilting). And you have to hit several objects in a row (sometimes around the corner) or repeat the whole sequence from beginning. And no, it’s not getting any better using mouse+keyboard instead of gamepad.
