Lucah: Born of a Dream
So. Lucah: Born of a Dream is hands-down the best character action title I’ve ever played, and a game I will easily place near the top of my GotY list for 2018. Here’s why.
Gameplay
Lucah’s gameplay is absurdly polished, not much by indie standards, but for character action/action adventure standards period. The systems in place all feel incredible to use, and feel very meticulously crafted and refined to cater to a variety of different playstyles. Not only does it pay (incredibly good) homage to games like Bayonetta, Dark Souls and Hyper Light Drifter by means of it’s combat and general gameplay, I would happily say it gives them a run for their money.

This is the only game I’ve ever backed on kickstarter using my own money so far. I told myself I’d wait until the game released to actually play it but when the developer sent me my beta key I immediately launched into playing it and kept going until I finished it. What you need to understand about this game going in is that it’s not the game you’re probably expecting from its packaging. You see a stamina bar, experience that doubles as currency, checkpoints that heal and allow levelling up, and you probably go to “oh this is a soulslike” but the reality here is that it’s more in line with a character action game. The soulslike mechanics are more like a flavoring to the bayonetta/DMC/metal gear rising sort of feeling you’re going to get from this game’s combat. The control scheme is even nearly identical to that of Bayonetta’s.

Super Crush KO
It has been said that first impressions are very important. I bought Super Crush KO because it made a great one, and in fact, it does so (almost) all across the board. Before even playing the game, promotional materials demonstrate a cute heroine, an endearing plot about rescuing her cat, and a surreal, saccharine, Lisa Frank-lite visual style that’s so unusual for action games that it alone might make the game stand out from the crowd. Much of that initial impression continued as I began to play, as the game’s base mechanics are rock-solid. As it went on, however, Super Crush KO also demonstrated that first impressions aren’t everything. So while I’m giving this game a thumb up, that’s only because this quick binary rating is required in reviews; read on to determine whether Super Crush KO is for you.

From the studios, Vertex Pop, comes Super Crush KO, a fast-paced, vibrant color brawler side scroller that takes place in a very lively and colorful city in the near future.
The story is not at all the main point of this adventure, however, saving the protagonist’s kitten, by its name Chubbz, can never pass next to anyone. Well, the player plays the role of Karen, an ordinary girl, who was resting in her room with her pet, when suddenly a big explosion echoes over her room. Here comes your rival, Ann. A being from another galaxy looking to find a friend to keep him company. The goal of the player will be to overcome about 20 levels full of enemy robots in search of retrieving their downy friend.

Dad Quest
Welcome to an experience that will incite laughter, joy, and relatable drama. I played this game twice through in order to create its first “Dadthrough”. I love its humor, I love its gameplay/mechanics, and its story is filled with detailed anecdoates that capture my imagination.
Dad Quest is a triumph that seeks to demonstrate the power of conviction. We might not be impervious, but we can be resilient! Our will can persevere!
I have shared this game with my friends, family, and social mediums. I hope that our entire world experiences this epic quest that involves nightmares, credit, and a thief.

Ergastulum: Dungeon Nightmares III
A very terrorfull game. Never imagined the dungeon nightmares games would get even more terrifying! I’m currently in the chamber of the damned… so intense!!! So far I’ve been cornered by bloody marry and the sniffing lady (don’t know her name yet, sorry lol), and found by the sniffing lady. I was just wandering around the dungeon and all of a sudden I heard this sniffing sound in my right ear. Turned to look and there she was! Was both kinda humorous and terrifying. Definitely DON’T recommend this game to the faint of heart. This dungeon I’m currently in is so intense I might not be able to finish it! lol Love the new abilities though. The ability to look around corners is great and the ability to hide when able is awesome! Thanks for making this game and can’t wait to see where else it may go. Keep it up 3

Nyan Cat: Lost In Space
Games are often judged under 3 categories: Story, Visual Graphics, and Soundtrack.
Nyan Cat takes all the cake, the table and the entire buffet.
The story involves around the creature, nyan cat, in search for what has been lost by travelling through different dimensions and facing danger. On the journey, nyan cat gets access to different magical artifacts that help nyan cat on the journey while collecting lactose and fighting off against the evil.
The visual graphics are just fantastic. Most modern games today such as CoD, Halo, etc, all have the same problem: THere is too much going on the screen that it makes it hard on what to focus, to finish the objective, etc. And the biggest problem of modern games: motion blur. It just makes a beautiful game in this muddy madness, it’s like your character or what not is always drunk and it’s about to collapse. Now take a look at nyan cat. The graphics are minimalistic, and nyan cat just contrasts against the background, making it very easy to see, and not just nyan cat, also the items and enemy, they are contrasted against the background. The HUD is also very simple and straight to the point.

Nyan Cat: Lost in Space is a casual game inspired by the Nyan Cat meme. In it, you play as the eponymous cat as he flies through space, collecting milk, cake, donuts and such. If I had to describe the gameplay, I’d say it’s an autoscrolling platformer; you can’t really make Nyan Cat go back, he always moves forward; your control is limited to jumps, though there’s two powerups that allow for a more directional control over the Y-axis. Your goal is simply to get as far as you can, and get as high a score as possible, while avoiding falling to the bottom of the screen, or hitting TNT, both of which end your game. There’s also a few hazards in the form of enemies like a dog, Tac Nayn (evil Nyan Cat) and UFOs.
