Maaaaate, such a great game! 💕💕💕.

Summarised:

  • Great combat mechanics;

  • Varied and creative bosses (no two bosses are even slightly similar);

  • Sooo immersive and pretty 😍;

  • Fitting soundtrack and delightful sound design;

  • Quite cookie-cutter story (though still well realised);

  • Almost inexistent character customisation.

As I said earlier, this game… Mate, this game is quite a banger Hahaha. The combat feels so responsive with wonderful animations and all the features u would expect from a souls-like (parry, dodge, timed lock, etc etc) and quite material as well, the sound effects - especially of hitting enemies - truly make you feel that your weapons are made of metal and are cutting through the enemies' flesh or their armour. Speaking of which, u can really tell how passionate and familiar with the genre the devs are by just looking at the bosses themselves, each one has a special mechanich or “quirk” so to speak and - supposing u face them in the same order as me, from left to right at the hub - their difficulty progresses quite nicely: First u’ll be facing some more standar “quirks” alla environnemental hazzards or multi-staged bosses but it soon progresses into more troubling ones such as odd attack timing or spawns - I’m intentionally vague this one so to not spoil the surprise for u 😝 -. The game is constantly pushing new ideas before u and every fight feels so exciting.

So, let me start by saying I really, really enjoyed this game; I thought it was worth saying this outright because I’m likely to end up saying more in the way of negatives, but that’s purely because the positives can be summed up so neatly.

The game does exactly what it says on the tin, and is exactly what I hoped it would be; a series of Dark Souls style boss fights in which you take on a new debuff before each fight.

It’s challenging in exactly the right way, it has good design for the bosses (which are all unique enough that no two encounters feel the same) and the combat is satisfying.

I died 409 times. It took exactly 13085 seconds of my life to complete. That’s one death every 30 seconds or so. You truly understand the pain one feels when fighting a Nazarick guardian after playing this game, and Shalltear’s a bitch.

10/10, let me feel love again.

Reflection of Mine

Reflection of Mine

I was just skimming through my Steam library trying to find something new to play when I stumbled upon this interesting-looking game.

You play as a girl with multiple personality disorder who is trying to piece together her broken memories.

I expected this game to be an adventure game where you fight enemies and solve riddles, but this is a pure puzzle game. The screen is usually divided into two (or more) sections with one personality (character) in each section. Both personalities will (usually) move in the same direction. You press up, they both go up. You press right, they both go right.

In short: DON’T BUY THIS GAME! It’s not worth 8.00 at all, if you want my summarized synopsis-keep reading.

The puzzles are interesting enough to keep you going, the music is nice…but the development and overall depiction of DID is both irresponsible and completely tone deaf.

Not only does the game put forth a common misconception regarding DID and how people who have it handle it, it’s also not properly rated. There are several triggering topics discussed in the game including but not limited to self-h@rm and telling someone outright to go k!ll themselves. There are also no warnings for photosensitive/epileptic players and we are completely blindsided by the jump scares, annoying screeching and irritating glitching effects.

Ergastulum: Dungeon Nightmares III

A very terrorfull game. Never imagined the dungeon nightmares games would get even more terrifying! I’m currently in the chamber of the damned… so intense!!! So far I’ve been cornered by bloody marry and the sniffing lady (don’t know her name yet, sorry lol), and found by the sniffing lady. I was just wandering around the dungeon and all of a sudden I heard this sniffing sound in my right ear. Turned to look and there she was! Was both kinda humorous and terrifying. Definitely DON’T recommend this game to the faint of heart. This dungeon I’m currently in is so intense I might not be able to finish it! lol Love the new abilities though. The ability to look around corners is great and the ability to hide when able is awesome! Thanks for making this game and can’t wait to see where else it may go. Keep it up 3

Spent most of my time in the starting lobby, perhaps adding a control information for keyboard would be helpful. Game was clunky and controls were very rough. Aiming seemed to be impossible. Would not recommend for PC - VR may be better experience?

I was kindly gifted this game by the developer while streaming on twitch.

I only just had the pleasure of playing Tomato Way 3 after finally upgrading to an RTX 3090. The story is now complete.

  • A throwback to the roots of Tomato Way 1 as a first person shooter

  • Some interesting interactive cutscenes and unique boss encounters

  • Runs at a solid 40fps

  • Creative and engaging storytelling left me impaled on my bicycle seatpost

  • 100% genuine dogmeat

  • Thank you for the memories, Vlad

It has been a pleasure, Tomate.

Okay, let’s get serious. This game is amazing for it’s price. It’s a complex puzzle box from the depths of hell! It’s filled with all kinds of secrets, changing gameplay, gratuitous violence, sex, human sacrafice and amazing atmosphere for something that just uses the pixel graphics!

I HIGHLY recommend this lovingly-constructed tribute to the ’80s' most iconic horror films. It has the puzzle-solving feel of old Sierra On-Line adventure games (e.g. King’s Quest and Quest for Glory), in that there are several well-defined obstacles, which can be overcome in a variety of ways, limited mostly–but not entirely–by the player’s creativity.

The “collection” features four full games, each one a tribute to a set of horror films from the ’80s. Respectively, the games pay tribute to the Friday the 13th series; The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes; Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street; and finally Alien and The Thing. The game’s own lore recapitulates some major themes from these films as well, besides that of masked, blade-wielding serial killers: there are twisted family relations, backwoods satanic cults, revenge from beyond the grave, haunted video games, plus references to an in-game “true story” on which the Lakeview Cabin “movies” are based. It’s tempting to say more, but I don’t want to spoil anything!
