Time Trap 2 - Search and Find Objects Game - Hidden Pictures

The game is inexpensive and for the money it is a great game in the style of story-driven puzzles. The world is distorted here, but how deeply you explore it, so deeply new interesting moments open up in it. Very beautiful elements for drawing events, backgrounds, pictures. Undoubtedly, it is worth noting the music, which deeply immerses in the game. I will definitely recommend this game to all fans of the genre, because it literally “captures” you for many hours.

More of the same from Crisp App studio, story doesn’t make much sense but the HOGs are good. I do like the crazy surreal sci-fi scenes in this one. There are more non HOGs than the previous game such as spot the difference and swap-pieces until the image is done type thing.

Bram The Toymaker

Bram The Toymaker

A scary bedtime story or a horrid physical entity?

The story goes that the toymaker is an undead figure who comes out at night leaving a toy on the children’s bedroom window to lure and capture them. Upon finding an old hidden journal, Blake discovers that a folktale passed through generations in his family might hold some dark secrets. He embarks on a journey to unravel what’s behind his ancestor’s mysterious journal.

Return to your family roots, deep into a long-forgotten isolated 19th-century village called Grimmville where time has stopped.

Upon arriving at the abandoned manor, once you set foot inside suddenly you find yourself trapped. Equipped with a flashlight you must explore the rooms. Some of them are escape-room style. Your main objective is to look for clues in order to solve timed puzzles that will give you the necessary items to progress further and make your way out.

Grimm & Tonic: Aperitif

Grimm & Tonic: Aperitif

I don’t normally review but this time I have to warn people that this game is, at the moment for me at least, buggy and broken.

Bugs may include:

  • Sudden blank screen/unable to choose an option.

  • Loading saves remembers last soul count.

  • Soul does not increase on Episode 2, at all.

  • The Cocktail Grimoire may not always open.

One note is that the bug that froze the game on receiving an achievement has been fixed, I have been unable to get an achievement since!

The premise is great though and I would love to see more of the story, so there’s that. I hold out hope for some fixes to come, soon maybe?! 2.22/6.66?

now first off im going to say people who reviewed the game really dont know how to review this game. I feel like people are looking at is as for example of another game cyber punk. when you look at the price difference this game is much cheaper and with that being said more people would have a positive review rather than negative. the art style in the game I enjoyed but at times it can be a little to much for the human eyes but the story line is good as it was very funny. meeting people in a bar and you have no soul but growing it from them is a very good concept and thats the main point of the game. this is a story line game that unlike big names can be played causally. you sit down for an hour or so and dont have to worry about fighting or anything like that. the only negative i have is that I wish death played a bigger role and you got to know him more and the end was a bit sudden. it is good short and simple and easy.

Lockheart Indigo

Lockheart Indigo

Lockheart Indigo was a short but fulfilling experience, with all of its parts forming a cohesive whole. The art, the music, the characters and the gameplay all fit together seamlessly to tell an exciting story.

It offers a unique system where, instead of battling your enemies in combat, you have to win them over with clever persuasion. And it’s clear the developer took a lot of time in crafting the various responses to show each character’s unique personality and motives.

I definitely recommend this game, it was a joy to play and a great homage to the Game Boy era from which it took its inspiration.

About 2-3 hour long detective game where the combat is replaced with interrogation, it’s kinda like playing Undertale and only using the dialogue choices (no bullet-hell though). Whenever you need to get information from the character you have to find a way to probe them by using evidence and their motivations against them. The story was decent enough for me to finish the game, but I was a bit disappointed with the illusion of choices as the game is pretty linear overall. You can use F4 to set the game to fullscreen, however, it does not have a widescreen so you will be playing with black borders. Even though the game is relatively polished and resistant to stupid choices, there are some potential softlocks due to the enemy AI, you should keep 2-3 save slots 30 minutes apart just in case (I wasted like 40 minutes because one of the quest items became inaccessible).

The Panic Room. House of secrets

The Panic Room. House of secrets

I love this game. It is very interesting and there are new events constantly to keep things fresh and new. The storyline is interesting, most of the characters are engaging and I love the fact that you can interact with your friends who play by way of gifts and groups for various tasks. This is one of two games I have played since I started on Steam and I just don’t see giving them up.

That being said, there are a few drawbacks as well. First, while the game is free to play, AND, contrary to what a few will say, you can play and do everything anyone else can do, however, the developers constantly put pop-ups in game trying to sell you stuff. I am even okay with that, they made a good product, they deserve compensation for it, my objection is to the frequency and the way they go about it. You will get a pop-up that advertises items to help you with the game (health potions, luck charms etc…) for a certain price, if you don’t purchase, frequently, another character in the game will pop up and “encourage” you to purchase to help win your freedom. I just think it is a little much. I have spent money on the game, like I said, I love playing, I just prefer not to be manipulated into it. That leads into my 2nd objection; the developers mostly ignore the Steam platform game. Panic Room is also on Facebook, the developers are very active, constantly posting news, apologies and explanations for glitches, etc. Here, we get nothing. Never an explanation and they very rarely respond to anything in the Panic Room group. I feel that if you are going to ask for money, you should be responsive to your players. At Christmas, the game was down for a couple weeks. There was never any explanation and most of us were unable to finish a large event because they didn’t extend the time. A few words would make a difference.

As I cdnt reply to Monique’s recent Review, I thought I wd post this to support her views.

I agree totally with everything she has said, so have a read of hers too.

This is a well stuctured and creative game. As a writer, I find the storyline interesting, considering its a Hidden Object Game. It also creates a unique environment with the interactive components among other players, while still being a solo game.

If u choose this u may have a moral dilema with activating “Bad Karma” function.

Most of us did, lol.

Whats wrong with me?

Whats wrong with me?

It is half-translated, things make no sense, no tutorial or control options so out of those 37 minutes 20 of them was how to make the game run, what button does what, how to use items and so on.. It also has very bad graphic options and lags for no reason. It is not a fun experience and it’s not worth it, not even if it was 0,39.

It’s extremely short and the “story” makes 0 sense especially with it being half translated.

DOM RUSALOK

DOM RUSALOK

Intriguing and effective at the best of times, Dom Rusalok has the potential to be a very enjoyable experience for the right person - so long as a few bumps in the road can be overlooked regarding the gameplay.

All in all, I can recommend this.

It is unabashedly a nostalgia porn for anyone growing up in Russia in the 90s. The dialogues are believable, the situations - understandable, the otherwise purposeless close ups of items most of us had or at least often saw tickle the nostalgia bone.

The atmosphere of a nice urban legend carries this pretty far.

The gameplay is very much assessible and fun, think The Cat Lady.

At some point things start getting ridiculous, and personally I don’t appreciate the direction it leads the story to. Not even sure I understood the ending, and as such, it didn’t leave any emotional impact on me. Thinking back to it, I can see it explained in two different ways, and would consider neither fitting or good. Maybe it’s on me and the game is deeper than I think, but personally I detest purposeful ambiguity for the sake of it.
