Questr

Questr

I found QUESTR to be very entertaining. It is not much as a game, but what it lacks in gaming substance it makes up in content.

You start by inviting people to join your quest party. Many of the people lie on their profiles and some characters hate your other members so much that they quit right away.

Every quest has multiple events in which you need to select one characters idea how to solve them. For example you encounter a vampire. Will you send a) the Vegan to talk to him about being vegan b) the drunk to talk about drinking c) or the bro who says he got this as he had to watch vampire movies with his ex. Results might not be what you expect.

Questr is an RPG parody of dating apps similar to Tinder.

In a similar fashion, you swipe left and right to build the perfect RPG team. Every potential party member has likes and dislikes, levels, costs to hire, and personality traits as well as their own class, guild, and ancestry.

Personality traits determine the outcome of encounters throughout each quest. Beating an encounter raises morale, while failing lowers it. Party members also interact with one another between encounters, further raising or lowering morale depending on how well personality types get along and whether or not you paid attention to likes and dislikes. At the end of a quest, the morale level determines if you successfully complete it, giving you a reward and the possibility of having party members continue to quest with you.

Super Web Kittens: Act I

Super Web Kittens: Act I

Going into this I didn’t have high expectation for a game like this, I mean come on you can’t blame me with a video like that and the whole game being based around cats (And dogs). I decided to bite the bullet and drop the $5 and started the download, After the download finished I started the game and started playing, After about at most an hour I finished the chapter and I can say both the story and premise of the game was both engaging and interesting. The dialogue between characters was both entertaining and interesting, Honestly the only thing I don’t like about this game is the grammar errors every few dialogue boxes. (Sorta ironic as my grammar isn’t good either) But I honestly can forgive that for a Act 2!

No point to this game. At all. You just click on the screen leveling up your money to buy so called perks which themselves are unending it looks like in how far you can level them each up. but you don’t get anything for this. not really. there are some odd little mini games, but there is no story going on, or point to the game. I bought it because it was ultra cheap and I was curious. All you do is click on a mode of transport and sometimes you can travel and the background changes. you don’t ask anything, you don’t do anything. It’s literally just click the middle of the screen, nine billion times until you realize there is no point and stop.

I like the idea of the command blocks: you don’t write a code, but learn how it works. It didn’t have to be a VR game, by the way. I would love to play on PC or mobile. Overall, this is a great VR puzzle game.

Kujlevka

Kujlevka

Russia, 1992. The ordinary village of Kujlevka is no stranger to challenging times. In this dark and otherworldly period of Russian history, the current financial crisis and rising crime rates appear bleak in comparison. And when ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓, it’s up to you to ▓▓▓▓▓. Of all the locations on Earth, this forgotten settlement becomes a bustling center for science, exploration, and the supernatural; you’re merely the poor chap whose home became the saucer’s crash site.

Assuming the role of the kolkhoz’s headmaster, you must ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ before ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓. These guests from outer space are in no hurry to interact with humans, they’d much rather ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ and steadily observe our species and our vast dreams and desires. What exactly might these extraterrestrial beings have planned?

Features

They come in peace! Maybe — This isn’t your stereotypical ▓▓▓▓ encounter. You will be tasked to learn about these otherworldly beings before they can properly study you.

Take a shot, get political — Kujlevka takes place during a time of political onslaught in Russia and, given the circumstances, navigating the community will prove to be its own mission.

Russian nostalgia — While many may find the kolkhoz setting new, Russian players may have a sense of deja vu at this time capsule settlement. We want you to long for an experience you may have missed…

Write your own story — Your decisions influence the story and impacts the world around you. Choose wisely.

VoxStory - The Cinematic TTRPG

VoxStory - The Cinematic TTRPG

What is VoxStory?

VoxStory is the cinematic way to experience tabletop roleplaying. Keeping all of your favourite aspects of TTPRG’s and bringing them to the big screen, VoxStory is the modern way to roleplaying.

VoxStory remains true to the tabletop style of gaming, the gamemaster will set the scene while the roll of the dice determines your actions. But with VoxStory you can see the story play out on screen.

For the Gamemaster

World generation. Auto building. Climate management

World building is made easy with VoxStory. Each world is made up of a series of tiles that are generated from parameters you set. With multiple biomes, dimensions, and terrain options your base landscape can be generated instantly.

Once the Tile has been generated you can edit the landscape in more detail and begin adding buildings and objects. The Autobuild feature allows you to rapidly generate structures without the hassle of repetition, perfect for large settlements or less important buildings

You can control every detail, even down to the density of the fog or colour of the rain

For the Player

Character creation. Choices made easy. Inventory management. Control it from your phone

Character creation can be done on the free mobile companion app or in-game. 10 races and 12 classes at launch allows for plenty of choice for the player. After selecting the basics of your character like race and class, you can customise your character from their armour colour down to their eyes.

The gameplay itself is similar to traditional TTRPGs. Once the GM has set the scene, the players take it in turns to make actions, the results of which are determined by the roll of dice.

When entering a battle the players and enemies initiate turn-based combat. The turn order is based on several things including skills, spells and other actions.

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures

A charming and cute point & click adventure brought back from the grave by Telltale. I was looking for this game for ages and I am glad they re-released it for Steam. Though I would say it is definitely a game for only big fans of W&G. There isn’t much engaging in the game play department unfortunately.

+Eye-catching levels filled with whimsy and captures the essence of the W&G animated classics really well

+Voice acting is actually great, it takes a while to adjust to new Wallace but he does a good job

Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Adventures; Episode 1 of Fright of the bumblebees.

Wallace and Gromit is a point and click game where the story revolves around the popular duo. True to the style of a Wallace and Gromit animation, created by Nick Park and Aardman Animations, the game is a puzzle, picking items up to combine them by interacting with people or other objects to progress through the game, which is my least preferable style of game.

Developed by Telltale, a developer which has popular recognition for other titles such as The Walking Dead series, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderland, Guardians of the Galaxy, Game of Thrones, Batman, and more. However, Telltales other game, Back to the Future, has a closer resemblance than the aforementioned games in that, not just the style, the story might be more appreciated by others whom have an inclination towards Wallace and Gromit films and series as this game was not one that impacted me, being born in the late 70s, as much as Back to the Future.

Kooring VR Wonderland:Mecadino’s Attack

Fun and cute, but I must say contents of game is bit lacking. I hope the dev adds more stages as DLC: I would like to buy it!

I prefer casual games, so when I saw the screenshot of ‘Kooring Wonderland VR’ I thought it would suit my taste and downloaded it. I liked the protagonist character, but the rabbit-like guys who appeared as monsters were so cute that I had a lot of fun while playing the game. The games surprisingly had a good hit satisfaction, and the overall operation was intuitive, so there is no burden in enjoying the games with children. There is a lot of possibility for a sequel, so if it becomes a series, I think I will be able to enjoy the games again.
