The Perfect Shape

The Perfect Shape

Highly recommend this game to those who love a good challenge!

I played for a couple of hours, It really has a lot of funny moments and very intense challenges.

Definitely not a game for the faint-hearted.

It´s nice that you don´t have to kill all enemies to complete the level.

A unique approach of the fast paced action mixed with subtle puzzles to find your own way to the end of the journey.

Can’t wait to finish it!

Night: Silent Killer

Night: Silent Killer

The story takes place in the overhead dimension [network]. You are night, a robot created by the master. The master gives you the power to protect the master who convenes the Ceremony. In the process of following the procedure, you know more and more about the host and the enemy. When the enemy of the master tells you what happened before you were “created”, which side will you choose when you get closer to the truth? You have a choice.

Main features

the truth

Each side has its own stand and different views on the same matter. Which side would you choose?

Play the role of a defender in a routine ceremony, or an enemy who brings chaos?

Learn from the words of the host and the enemy, travel in the bluebird battlefield, and make a decision.

Discrimination

The enemy was disguised like our friends.

The most important thing is whether we can find the difference between them.

The spirit of the host does not seem to be very good. Under the heavy pressure, the confused words, together with the vague message of the enemy, cover up the truth.

Power

The master gives you the power to attack in different ways.

Use energy and strength, wield a heavy wrench, and use extremely fast missiles to clear your target.

High-level being gives you [Power]. With the help of power and program modification brought by past choices, you can gain the power of angel and ghost, and control extremely powerful destructive power.

Puzzle

There are also some puzzles that need to be solved in [Cyberspace].

If you can’t go through it, someone is helping you.

Purpose

Is the purpose really to protect the owner?

What should be done in the ceremony?

The content of the second week’s is being produced:

Or do you follow the advice and free yourself from all this?

More powerful Light and Darkness.

Here is the strategy for the confused players after passing several levels:

After the second chapter, you can stick to help the enemy “Spams”.

At each level (ceremony), find the cars that launch no red shells or with unexplained loss of life, and destroyed them.

After the third chapter, you can use the light transformation to distinguish them.

Description of game development progress:

At present, all the contents of the first Reincarnation have been completed, meeting the release conditions.

The content of the second Reincarnation of the subsequent update mainly includes:

Control various units, not just Night.

You will see everything you once knew in a different light. You will fear nothing.

Its pretty fun. Controls are hard to get used to, but it’s a good game. I would love to continue playing, but I ended up stuck in an area of the game I was not meant to reach yet, and am unable to leave :I

It’s not good as I expected two years ago, when I got its demo… in many aspects, not good. But I still like its pixel graphics. And maybe its story.

Rouge-like warning !!

The Rebels: Prologue

The Rebels: Prologue

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1826460/Shopping_Mall_Renovator/

In a world ruled by brutal corporations and dirty money, there is no room for sentiment. The voice of freedom was long suppressed and subordinated to capitalist domination of the richest ruthless individuals. Corporations perfectly mask their activities, control television and effectively hide the truth on the Internet. Nobody knows about factories where children work, about slaves trapped in eternal credit lines, about legal drugs that are used to enslave millions or viruses being developed just to sell vaccines. There are no free media. But there is hope! People like you deep within the darknet start to organize and information continues to flow.

Play as a former journalist fighting for the truth. You were not allowed to fight with a pen, so now you moved to more effective methods.

In this combination of FPS and Stealth elements you have to carry on the fight. Run single missions and decide if you want just shoot all the enemies or use your stealth and cunning to win in a more pacifist style. In time you can get loyal companions and create your own resistance cell. Decide between hit-man style, guerilla or frontal assault tactics. Develop your organisation and employ hackers and own scientists to level the playing field.

Join risky missions to destroy corporations and corrupt governments. Steal and reveal their secrets. Execute their CEOs and key scientists or sabotage their secret projects and investments.

Every decision you take will bring you more support or antagonize people. Think carefully which targets you pick and how you carry out your missions. Sometimes it’s good to show mercy but never show weakness. Become a hero for the specific part of the society and enjoy their support or act alone and don’t risk exposure. Ridicule your enemies and address masses or be brutal to bring in extremists. Decide on your approach and fight your way to freedom.

Maaaaate, such a great game! 💕💕💕.

Summarised:

  • Great combat mechanics;

  • Varied and creative bosses (no two bosses are even slightly similar);

  • Sooo immersive and pretty 😍;

  • Fitting soundtrack and delightful sound design;

  • Quite cookie-cutter story (though still well realised);

  • Almost inexistent character customisation.

Full:

As I said earlier, this game… Mate, this game is quite a banger Hahaha. The combat feels so responsive with wonderful animations and all the features u would expect from a souls-like (parry, dodge, timed lock, etc etc) and quite material as well, the sound effects - especially of hitting enemies - truly make you feel that your weapons are made of metal and are cutting through the enemies' flesh or their armour. Speaking of which, u can really tell how passionate and familiar with the genre the devs are by just looking at the bosses themselves, each one has a special mechanich or “quirk” so to speak and - supposing u face them in the same order as me, from left to right at the hub - their difficulty progresses quite nicely: First u’ll be facing some more standar “quirks” alla environnemental hazzards or multi-staged bosses but it soon progresses into more troubling ones such as odd attack timing or spawns - I’m intentionally vague this one so to not spoil the surprise for u 😝 -. The game is constantly pushing new ideas before u and every fight feels so exciting.

So, let me start by saying I really, really enjoyed this game; I thought it was worth saying this outright because I’m likely to end up saying more in the way of negatives, but that’s purely because the positives can be summed up so neatly.

The game does exactly what it says on the tin, and is exactly what I hoped it would be; a series of Dark Souls style boss fights in which you take on a new debuff before each fight.

It’s challenging in exactly the right way, it has good design for the bosses (which are all unique enough that no two encounters feel the same) and the combat is satisfying.

Vigil: The Longest Night

Vigil: The Longest Night

First things first, tl;dr: I enjoyed most of my time with Vigil, I think it’s a solid metroidvania, offers a decent challenge, provides an interesting story, and entertaining combat, but it has some flaws.

I’ll start with the flaws, one of which made me put the game down for a while:

There are several obscure NPC questlines that you can fail permanently, and while this can be frustrating, I would have accepted it if all I missed out on was some story or maybe some more useless trinkets. However, what I don’t like is that you can permanently miss very important weapons, spells etc. if you fail some of those obscure quests, and once you do, you just have to restart your entire playthrough or accept you won’t have some of the best and most fun weapons/spells.

For starters i love this game, but im well aware that is in large part due to it being a perfect combination of things i really dig. Large and confusing world, check; occult themes and a nice lovecraftian feel, check; metroidvania styled progression with a fairly simple but fun combat system, check; tons of items and secrets to find, check. The point is it would’ve been tough for this game to let me down in the first place, I know that. But im still confident in saying this its not just me, this game is just straight up great.

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures

A charming and cute point & click adventure brought back from the grave by Telltale. I was looking for this game for ages and I am glad they re-released it for Steam. Though I would say it is definitely a game for only big fans of W&G. There isn’t much engaging in the game play department unfortunately.

+Eye-catching levels filled with whimsy and captures the essence of the W&G animated classics really well

+Voice acting is actually great, it takes a while to adjust to new Wallace but he does a good job

Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Adventures; Episode 1 of Fright of the bumblebees.

Wallace and Gromit is a point and click game where the story revolves around the popular duo. True to the style of a Wallace and Gromit animation, created by Nick Park and Aardman Animations, the game is a puzzle, picking items up to combine them by interacting with people or other objects to progress through the game, which is my least preferable style of game.

Developed by Telltale, a developer which has popular recognition for other titles such as The Walking Dead series, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderland, Guardians of the Galaxy, Game of Thrones, Batman, and more. However, Telltales other game, Back to the Future, has a closer resemblance than the aforementioned games in that, not just the style, the story might be more appreciated by others whom have an inclination towards Wallace and Gromit films and series as this game was not one that impacted me, being born in the late 70s, as much as Back to the Future.

Questr

Questr

I found QUESTR to be very entertaining. It is not much as a game, but what it lacks in gaming substance it makes up in content.

You start by inviting people to join your quest party. Many of the people lie on their profiles and some characters hate your other members so much that they quit right away.

Every quest has multiple events in which you need to select one characters idea how to solve them. For example you encounter a vampire. Will you send a) the Vegan to talk to him about being vegan b) the drunk to talk about drinking c) or the bro who says he got this as he had to watch vampire movies with his ex. Results might not be what you expect.

Questr is an RPG parody of dating apps similar to Tinder.

In a similar fashion, you swipe left and right to build the perfect RPG team. Every potential party member has likes and dislikes, levels, costs to hire, and personality traits as well as their own class, guild, and ancestry.

Personality traits determine the outcome of encounters throughout each quest. Beating an encounter raises morale, while failing lowers it. Party members also interact with one another between encounters, further raising or lowering morale depending on how well personality types get along and whether or not you paid attention to likes and dislikes. At the end of a quest, the morale level determines if you successfully complete it, giving you a reward and the possibility of having party members continue to quest with you.
