The game is cute and great and relaxing. Just hunt baby chickens for food, walk up to to the water right where you first start for water, and sleep to regenerate health. Open the barn, for kittens to follow you. Cats are by the barn too. Amazing game, love it.

An excellent shooter where we play as mafia cats.

There are a lot of different opponents in the game, namely: jackals, mice, wolves and many others.

And the best part is that the game is not very demanding with the characteristics of a computer.

Cattails | Become a Cat!

Cattails | Become a Cat!

There are two kinds of gamers: those who can enjoy life sims, and those who cannot. Some people need the game to show them “this is what your goal is,” and others are very happy to invent their own goals regardless of whether or not the game gives you one. If you’re in that latter category, then by all means, I recommend this game to you. Especially if you like cats. Otherwise… you’ll probably find yourself growing bored right after the tutorial.

Although I feel like this was pretty ingenious–of course you have no goal at first. You’re a housecat that was dumped off into the middle of nowhere! Your first few days should be spent learning how to survive. THEN you can come up with something to do. (And the game provides you with a main quest a few days later, so there’s that.)

If you haven’t gotten Stardew Valley yet, get that instead…but check this game out after you’re done with it and wait for a sale.

Presentation:

Great music. Decent pixel art for he environment. Although I’m not a fan of the character portraits. I would have preferred it looked like the stylized digitally drawn characters in the main menu.

Main Story:

What you can consider the main story is the Temple at the near center of the map that requires you to gather unique resources and items from all over the map to “restore the balance” and revive the Forest Guardian. Gamplay wise it’s a standard affair. What makes Cattails unique is that there are little puzzle rooms that you have to do after completing a bundle. Half are decent at best puzzles and the other half are boring combat trials that require a key that can only be received by having good relations with other cat colonies. There 6 bundles with 4 milestones- for completing the first, third, fifth, and last.

Nice game to relax to,,, a good medium of idol gaming, “cartoony”, with a dash of RPG. Kinda reminds me a little bit of Castle Crashers. Graphics are eye friendly, as I get motion sickness, and have epilepsy, and legally blind. No issues with this game. Just an all around silly game that I’ve gotten a few ppl into, as it really is a fantastic game. One of my go to’s. As a Psychologist, its a great therapy game that promotes natural EMDR. Just put on your headset, play some good tunes, and get lost in it all ^_^ Hoping they turn it into a multi-player option soon. Highly recommended.

TL;DR: A an amusing, if very flawed and at times quite buggy 2D shooter with reasonably deep upgrade mechanics and loot system. Not worth the full price. Definitely worth it on sale for some mindless entertainment.

One Gun: Cat has simple but but decent 2D shooter mechanics. Character movement and shooting both feel reasonably good. Sometime dodging attacks (especially from bosses) are based more on luck than skill. There’s a fairly deep but not terribly interesting loot system. There’s a fairly large overworld map with dozens of areas that have a massive progression of difficulty. Each map area has a series of bosses with difficulty ratings. The starting boss is difficulty 5. I unlocked a boss at difficulty 100,000 before I gave up on the game.

Jones On Fire

Jones On Fire

This is the prequel of Hot Tin Roof…is the game fun? No…i will explain why in a pro/ con style and end with my conlusion.

Pro:

N/A

Con:

The upgrades are extremely grindy. In order to have some fighting chance in later levels you need those upgrades. The upgrades cost an arm and a leg and a vital organ like the heart or brain.

The game has 2 currencies. One is regular cats and the other is golden cats. It is very dumb to do that because gold cats are slow to come across and building up to get a single upgrade is very time consuming and adds to the boredem of the game.

You know, I honestly don’t get what all the hate is about for this game. I think it’s a great time waster. For someone who has a lot of free time, and especially during this summer, boredom can hit pretty hard. And for the past few weeks, that’s what’s been happening. It’s games like this and another game I tend to play in short bursts, Pictopix, that really help get me out of those slumps.

And you may not think that boredom is that big of a deal, but for me it is. It leads me to almost what seems like pseudo-depression. A lot of free time and not knowing what to do with that time. It makes me lose motivation for most things, and just overall suckiness. Games like this, simple one off games that really have very little plot, or intense gameplay, just relaxation, which is rare for games these days, are great for fetting out of these moods. I don’t want to hear about story, or tutorials when I’m trying to be entertained, I just want to play, and this game lets me do that. Even the other game this company has made, Hot Tin Roof (which I also own), has a lot of plot and storytelling, which is fine when you’re in the mood for that. But when you’re looking for something to just pass time with, this game is perfect for that.

Shelter 2

Shelter 2

This game’s not the best, Shelter 1 is better, but this game is still very good. There’s good and bad things about it. One thing I really like is that it’s only a single player game, there’s no online. I get that people like playing online, especially with friends, but I think single player games are the best kinds of games, because they don’t expose you to harassment from other players.

You play the role of a mother lynx, who is pregnant at the start of the game. In the intro of the game, you have to run through a snowy blizzard at night, away from predators like wolves, to find a den to give birth to your cubs. When you reach the den, you don’t see the mother actually give birth, it just goes into a cutscene, where the mother wakes up in the morning, and she now has 4 cubs with her. It’s really cool, you can actually name all of your cubs at that part, but not the mother. Each cub has their own look, too, each with their own texture patterns - one is orangish-brown, one is dark brown, another is medium brown, and the other is white. You venture out into the wilderness to hunt food for your cubs until they are able to venture out with you, then you go exploring and hunting with your cubs until they grow up, and leave to take care of themselves. When the cubs are at their biggest, as big as you (which is when they’re almost about to leave to take care of themselves), they can actually hunt for themselves (even dropping food at your feet, if you want it :D), so you won’t have to feed them as much.

This game has good graphics, yes. but do good graphics make a good game? No.

So that’s not why this is a great game.

Let me tell you a story:

Mother Lynx ran for her life; wolves were on her scent. She escaped, barely. She was then led by the stars to her new home, where she gave birth to four adorable babies: Fur, Kit, Kudvu, and Flippy. She caught three bunnies for them and they started follow her. Inna could not be more proud of her babies. She killed bunnies and fed her babies. She kept close to the tree, ready for whatever was coming. Then night came. The darkness came. Inna froze for a split second as she saw a large brown blob flow from the mountains and towards her and her children. She didn’t know what it was; but she knew it was not getting her babies. She grabbed one in her mouth, then turned and bolted, leaving the other three to run after her. She reached the tree quickly, and walked to the front of her den, dropping the baby in her mouth. The other three came over, yowling with annoyance. Inna remained quiet, watching the blob that was no longer moving. Sniffing, she realized no animals were nearby. She started telling the blob to go away. She then watched in satisfaction as it drained away. Seasons went past, and then that faetful day came. She killed two rabits and walked over to them with her children. They all stared at her. A sinking feeling rose in her chest as she read the exporessions of her babies. She sighed, but not in sorrow. She was ready for them to go. Nudging each of them with her nose, she said farewell and watched them run off. She walked back to her home, and fell asleep. She woke up and the stars guided her to a strange area. Something was there. Inna crouched, ready to fight. She crept closer, and then she saw who it was. Kudvu! Her sweet Kudvu! Inna walked over to her baby, overjoyed. The two walked off, Kudvu ready to protect his mother until she died.

Herding cats is easy! Said no one…ever

Your main job in Catizens is to build your town around the personality traits of its inhabitants. Just like in real life, cats require personal attention and special treatment. Combinations of different personality traits and moods affect their proficiency and obedience. Catizens form relationships with each other and will occasionally issue personal requests, so you will need to learn what makes each cat happy in order to stay on their good side.

Create unique cats and design the perfect home

Pick from an assortment of facial and body features, as well as personality traits to create cats with distinct looks and temperaments. So get creative!

Build and manage your settlement

Catizens can learn a variety of professions – from farming, to blacksmithing or offering protection from local wildlife. Different building types unlock depending on the traits and professions available. There’s no need to micromanage the entire settlement when it gets large.
