Oh c’mon this is a fantastic arcade game with a ton of charm and meat-on-the-bone. Yeah, the price is off-putting at first, but I assure you this is top quality stuff. There is a solid campaign mode that helps you learn the ropes in steps. There is an endless mode complete with Steam Leaderboards. And lots of awesome unlockable characters that are largely cameos from other indie games. It’s surprising how much great diversity they crammed in here. Finally, the pixel art and music couldn’t be better.

Pix the Cat

Pix the Cat

Operating on the same basic mechanics, Pix the Cat features multiple modes that could probably be presented as separate little games instead. The arguable showcase is the Pac-Man reminiscent Arcade. There are multiple similarities to the relatively recent Pac-Man Championship Editions in particular, with the whole game being on a timer, a rising speed meter and presenting a series of little boards for you to clear. And let’s not forget Championship Edition DX had those little ghosts following you in a snake-like fashion.

This game is like some bizarro version of Pac Man Championship Edition DX+, requiring many of the same skills. It’s also much harder.

The goal of each board is to grab all the eggs, then walk over every circle. A chick will hatch out of every egg you touch and start following you, forcing you to play Snake until you can drop them onto the circles and get rid of them. For maximum points, you need to pick up every egg on the board before stepping on a single circle, turning most boards into a tough pathfinding puzzle. The most creative idea at work here is the way you can take portals back to previous levels at any time, which is sometimes required for playing optimally.

WOW this game is really awesome! Bought this game after watching the livestream yesterday, and I do not regret.

The art looks cute and that is definitely a plus for me, but don’t be deceived by the cute kitty and adorable comic book art. This game is HARD. Like, really hard. Might give Celeste a run for its money. But there is a “slow motion” mode that makes it much easier so don’t be scared lol.

It’s actually a pretty fun game. The unique ‘camera’ game mechanic challenges me to think outside the box. Don’t take yourself too seriously with this one, go into it preparing to mess up a lot, and enjoy :)

Wow!!! Unique, refreshing and challenging! Seems a little difficult. But whenever clearing every stage, feel a sense of achievement. Cute characters. Creative objects! Likely to be a game changer itself ‘cause it features the very characteristics that most of other games do not have. No destructive. No men-killing. Never disastrous. Fun, Imaginative and Lovable. Are you a cat lover or a peace lover? Sure you’ll love this game.

Endurance Labyrinth

Endurance Labyrinth

This game was made by the Devil.

Normal mode was made by Devil’s bully.

Seriously, I thought a maze game would fit in the puzzle category, but it’s like this is a soulsborne or something like that.

Started to play and died, died, died and died. Finally finished the damn thing, and FIVE HOURS HAVE PASSED WTF

The game is cheap, cute, simple to learn, easy (it actually is easy) but SEVERELY PUNISHING. If you don’t have photographic memory, you will know what I felt playing it.

It’s a super cute little game. Roll & bounce colored balls until only 1 color is left. Relaxing but addictive.

You can actually win by bouncing the black balls into others too. I want to play it with a friend, it also has a 2 Player mode. That could be chaotic! :D

An Addictive Collect-A-Thon Plarformer + Time Trial Game

What stands out is the unique physics-based size morphing mechanics. I’ve never seen a game character control quite like this. The three different sizes modify the cat’s size, weight, and the way it reacts to surfaces. The controls make it fun - if a bit challenging - to discover and master the manoeuvres needed to navigate the varied levels and obstacles.

Learning to navigate is needed to gather the items necessary to progress through the game or, for those who are up to the challenge, complete the game with all items collected. Not only will you be reward with a collectable upon reaching an item, you can often earn a bonus collectable for reaching that same item under a specified time (restarting the level is instantaneous which is very much appreciated for trial and error purposes when attempting the harder time trial objectives).

I would highly recommend this game for those seeking an interesting platforming experience. There is a sense of progression as you go about the game, unlocking new levels and hats, which motivates you to complete the game further. The yarn ball hidden in each level serves as another challenge which motivates the player to explore the level further. The different areas create a sense of diversity which helps keep the game from becoming stale, and the concept, while simple in design, is thoroughly explored throughout the game.
