PUSS!

PUSS!

after a long time i finaly beat this game and trust me it is harder than it looks, i think this game diserves a lot more attention that it is getting.

its sad because its really just luck if these sort of inde games become popular. There are lots of inde horror games like this that get huge amounts of attention on youtube because one youtuber plays a game, then fans recommend that game to other youtubers who play it, then even more youtubers play that game because they saw someone else play the game and they think it would make for a good video, it crates a domino affect of popularity. Im not saying this is a bad thing but it sort of means that you just have to get a little bit lucky. it means that a lot of games that are really good like this one will not be as popular because they are not picked up and advertised by youtube gamers. Let me give an example, recently a game by the name of baldi’s basics in education and learning was picked up and played by youtubers and became very popular though a big wave of popular gaming youtubers playing it. You my or my not have herd of it but a LOT of youtubers played it. Others may disagree but I don’t think it was a very good game, it was ok, but it didn’t bring anything new to the table, it wasn’t very well scary and the gameplay was very RNG based and not really entertaining. You may disagree but they only reason it gained popularity was because one youtuber played it and others followed suit.

Awesome Vaporwave/Glitch art aesthetics wasted on an ungodly abomination of game design. It is truly baffling how one could screw up such a simple idea. Your goal is to move your cursor around a labyrinth without colliding with (often moving and dynamic) geometry, you know, like in the internet classic Scary Maze (the game actually has a level referencing it, so bonus points for that). The levels themselves are absolutely amazing, each one of them is a separate work of Vaporwave art, accompanied by equally sweet soundtrack (composed out of truly bizarre samples, just like Vaporwave should be). Everything moves, glitches out, the mazes suddenly change in shape, and there are a lot of gimmicks to spice things up.

The Beast Awoke To Eat Your Darlings

The Beast Awoke To Eat Your Darlings

Nightmares are haunting you. Set in a variety of different places, they play out in a similar way: there’s a Beast keeping cats in cages. As the Beast gets hungry, they eat a cat. And then another. And so on. The Beast doesn’t like you: if they see you, they start chasing you, and better they don’t catch you – feeling your head being chopped off is quite unpleasant. Luckily there’s always a way out, usually on top of something. Maybe it’s a hot air balloon on top of a skyscraper, or a mysterious door sitting on a cloud… who knows what else. Get there to escape your nightmare. It’s fine to get out by yourself. Best though if you manage to also save all those pets. They feel extremely dear to you. You’ll discover why (as well as discovering what’s actually behind all of these absurdities) if you succeed in beating your nightmare. So go ahead, find a key to open those cages; do also find bracelets to buy catnip (there’s always this weirdo around, he sells you things in exchange for bracelets), so that cats will follow you… up to that door on that cloud.

  • Hand crafted nightmares (“levels”) tailored to offer a variety of creative ways to reach your goals;

  • AI that’s easy to understand, yet never fully predictable;

  • A variety of items to help you in your quest: insta-growing Vines to let you climb walls, Wonderglass to make you invisible, Bubbletrap to trap the Beast, and more;

  • Why the cats? Why the Beast? Discover how each element in your nightmares is actually connected to a past you’ve long forgotten;

  • Granular scoring system and leaderboards provide a never ending challenge;

  • Personalize your experience through “interviews with your therapist” that affect the way the game looks and feel

This is great to have one a second monitor with headphones on while working on something.

It’s even got it’s own dystopian plot to go along with it.

Brilliant.

I’m pretty simple, if I see a game with a cat in it, I buy, so I didn’t realize when I bought Hellcat that it was released this month! And I also didn’t realize it was a Russian game translated to English and only had one English review lol. I figured with that considered, I would write a review for other users considering to buy the title, since there isn’t a lot of information given. I have played through the entire game, and played through level 1-7 four times. I have all of the achievements. There is ten levels overall, the first seven are solo, then a boss battle, then two levels were you must control both the Hellcat and his girlfriend, and then the end transitions into a fight against the GrandBoss. This game is very, very fastpaced and brutal. One hit will auto kill you, and there is no checkpoints, so players will go back to the very beginning of the level to try again.

“Third Update”

All control mapping is now working and is smooth and easy to use. Playing through for a second time was more enjoyable without fighting these.

I know mappings may seem like a “small thing to be updated” but the speed the devs have done it and their updates was what stopped me from refunding and got me to play through twice.

Keen for episode 2.

“Original Review”

This game does seem like it could be good, unfortunately running on a Vive it seems that the controls do no function and you’re unable to proceed past the initial starting point.

It’s nice to look at…while you click the space bar (or have a script running to auto click the space bar), but zero depth. You seriously just click the space bar. I foolishly expected more with the fun graphics…that you soon realize never change.

There’s no fun to be had, or reason to ever come back to the game after the last achievement pops, and it very unfulfilling…but I got the achievements. I guess, if I want more, I can just play an actual “game.”

I absolutely love how fun this game is. From the sounds to the colors and the sheer competition of acquiring all 50 achievements. It is definitely worth the download!

Sparkles & Gems

Sparkles & Gems

A really special gem of a game with a perfectly consistent visual aesthetic and a rocking soundtrack. The match 3 puzzle mechanics alone are fresh but familiar. Treasure mode alone is just a fun grind that I can see myself putting a lot of time into in my future.

What makes this game something truly special and likely to make my game of the year list is the story mode. It drew me in quickly as I tried to understand what this game was. The writing feels familiar but also completely original. It’s strange reality depicted somehow feels more true to life than any ““realistic”” story game I’ve played. This game is really unique. Any point of comparison I can think of would be a disservice to just how special this game really is.

Real player with 12.1 hrs in game

This game is like if Breakout, Bejeweled, and Tetris multiplayer had an orgy and made the ultimate casual game. Each element is familiar but put together really well in a way that makes it fresh and exciting. The gameplay is top notch and super addicting. Games can get really close, and there are often nail-biting moments where you think you’re screwed but barely come out on top. In addition the game is super satisfying to play, which I chalk up to the excellent sound design. Breaking gems and hitting combos never fails to scratch an itch. The music is also really catchy and gets stuck in your head quite easily.

Absolutely beautiful. The story is well written, it makes me want to find out more and it makes me keep going back to where may have I’ve missed. Characters are really well designed the

! Shade character concept is indeed interesting! This type of horror game is my favorite. The environment isn’t too slanted, it makes me feel confident navigating around in-game.

This is game really needs more attention. I truly hope more games like this exist for people to experience.

Dude, I went in to this game knowing nothing about it and I had my mind blown. This game is legitimately so FUN to play! The atmosphere is chefs kiss, the puzzles designs are interesting and engaging, the environments are so dang cool and exciting to explore, there are a ton of neat easter eggs and clever hilarious jokes sprinkled in, the monster designs are rad, and the story is really captivating! On top of that, THE SOUNDTRACK?! YOOOO It’s so dang GOOD!! It was a delight to play and I fully recommend it!
