Pix the Cat
Operating on the same basic mechanics, Pix the Cat features multiple modes that could probably be presented as separate little games instead. The arguable showcase is the Pac-Man reminiscent Arcade. There are multiple similarities to the relatively recent Pac-Man Championship Editions in particular, with the whole game being on a timer, a rising speed meter and presenting a series of little boards for you to clear. And let’s not forget Championship Edition DX had those little ghosts following you in a snake-like fashion.

This game is like some bizarro version of Pac Man Championship Edition DX+, requiring many of the same skills. It’s also much harder.
The goal of each board is to grab all the eggs, then walk over every circle. A chick will hatch out of every egg you touch and start following you, forcing you to play Snake until you can drop them onto the circles and get rid of them. For maximum points, you need to pick up every egg on the board before stepping on a single circle, turning most boards into a tough pathfinding puzzle. The most creative idea at work here is the way you can take portals back to previous levels at any time, which is sometimes required for playing optimally.

Focus, timing, and cats
A small score-chaser, Karate Cat is all about timing.
Karateka(t) stands above a stand with wooden plank (or sometimes brick) and has to smash the plank by hitting it at the correct time (as shown by a bar moving up and down, showing a target) or, in case of a brick, sweep it aside. Hitting the brick or hitting the plank at the wrong time makes the cat cry (you monster!).
Hitting the bar at the right time multiple times in a row as it’s going up earns combo and associated bonus points.

Simply put, Space Cat is a fun and challenging NES-inspired, Arcade-Style platformer. It’s filled with variety, charm, and challenge all mixed together just right. The soundtrack is also stellar and I find myself listening to it still on occasion. One thing I personally had trouble with was the keyboard controls. They are personally uncomfortable to me, so I would highly suggest using a controller for this game. With a new update having just recently launched, adding a bunch of new, quality, content, I’d say now is better than ever to pick up this game, especially for $5.

Domiverse
This brawler is frantic, chaotic and beautiful. The 8bit visuals are spot on during the fights and the characters are great. The overall gameplay is fantastic and it is at its best when played with other people. There is also an Arcade mode that reminds me a lot of the mode found in Smash Bros for the N64 and they made 2 extra characters unlocked through gameplay.
The battle system works in a one hit kill fashion, with every character posessing his own unique attacks and moving at different paces, while the enviroment counts on spikes, death traps, rolling boulders and the like to make everything more difficult. I’m enjoying it a lot, and believe it’s a worth investment of your money and time.

Had so much fun playing this with my wife and daughters! The simplicity and the roster of interesting characters, each with its unique feel, makes this one a winner
