12 Labours of Hercules

12 Labours of Hercules

12 Labours of Hercules is an amazing point and click series created by Jetdogs Studios, and my main concern here is not to repeat myself over the reviews since this game has so far 8 instalments, the first one published in 2015 while the last one as of April, 2019 dates back to the end of 2018.

All the games work in a similar way - it’s a mix of time management, strategy and point and click since you’ll have to collect lots of resources and help Hercules work his way through tons of levels, aided by his helpers who will execute all of your commands.

The running joke in The 12 Labours of Hercules is that Our Mighty Hero only rarely rouses himself to do any actual labour - his trusty servants (ahem, slaves) race about at your command cutting down trees, clearing roads, filling in pits, picking up resources, building bridges, and erecting supply centers. Except when there’s a star-powered Hero Task to do, Hercules spends levels resting happily in his hammock.

In each of this game’s 40 levels you basically need to get across the map. That may involve clearing obstacles in the road; building bridges over rivers or ravines, or boats to sail away on; collecting gold for the trip; or disposing of monsters in your way. You’ll gather riches (food, lumber, gold) to pay for everything you do, and generally there’s just enough potential wealth in each map to make it to the end in time. Level design is attentive without being mean, and each level will run to solution in five to ten minutes, making this a perfect bite-sized casual game for I-have-a-few-minutes timing needs.

A Comfortable Burden

This game is simple in design, rich in passing a message.

If you don’t know what the mental burden is, check this game out, if you want to support a cause, check this game out. if you want to teach someone the subject, gift them the game!

In dire need of an instant-restart button. If you get stuck once at the start of a 45 or 90 second session, you have to sit out the entire session knowing you cannot make it because there are no ways to make up for lost time - walking speed and task length cannot be modified and it’s easy to estimate that you cannot take care of three rooms in 15 seconds, so why waste your time doing so? The at times very clunky controls don’t exactly enhance the experience either and I’d suggest the devs highlight the tasks when they can actually be taken care of instead of when you’re just kinda close, or maybe put the characters on exact lanes, because finding the correct (read: pixel-perfect while inexplicaby also vague) positioning for a few of the tasks takes ages. A save feature would be highly welcome as well. Overall, the game feels like an alpha release or proof of concept - which is a shame, because there is a quality work behind all these hindrances.

3 Oct 2021:

Strategical gameplay to max out the profit and effects HAHAH

Recommended to buy if this game is:

1. On sales (IMO I just buy game during sales mostly)

2. If you like to play games with minimal guidelines

As this is early access game, I wouldn’t say it’s too bad to play the game

It mentioned that they will skip the tutorial part (so you will read the text-based guidelines)

If you read it clear, the more you experiment, the easier you will get high score with

Had some fun playing this!

I absolutely love Tycoon games. Given that, and the fact that I have never seen a Tycoon games that focus on Ads, I had to try this one.

It’s an Early Access game, so we gotta take that into consideration too, so yes, it has some bugs, it can use some improvements and maybe new mechanics, but with that said, it’s not a bad game at all.

Firstly, the art style is great! It really does give an oldschool vibe, which was the proposal. Great!

Also, as I mentioned before, I’ve never seen an Ad Tycoon, so this is another step on the right direction, innovative.

3/10 TL;DR click-priority time-management is tedious and unfulfilling; destroyed by remains of P2W system from mobile.

I enjoyed the series for 12 Labours of Hercules much better.

In this game, all upgraded buildings are useless; you cannot afford the time to build them to achieve faster production for the 3-star rating (internal achievements for game)

Instead, the only way to achieve 3 stars is to pay in game gems to boost worker speed, building production speed, and auto-delivery. Auto-delivery is almost a required upgrade because you cannot succeed in the game if you have to give the green light to every truck that is ready to deliver goods to your wherehouse, imports, or exports. Every level you must spend at least 6-9 gems.

As much as I don’t want to dislike this game, as MANY people have pointed out, this appears to be a mobile port with the wrong sort of Pay to Win mechanics involved.

The story and the facts about Alcatraz are alright.

The gameplay is stand clicker fare.

The first ten levels are ok, fun even. Easy to the point of being boring almost. Then all of the sudden you hit the wall, hard.

No way to complete a 3 star level on the first run even with gems. I played the game to completion just to be sure that this was the case and yeah, it was. For the most part with the exception of one really frantic level you can 2 star the last 40 levels.

I’m not going to lie, this is a very cute and casual game - some thought goes into preparing the potions and there are goals on a daily basis. Some of which has somewhat of a story, which is a great addition to a management game. I have yet to finish the game, so the price is definitely worth the time you spend in it. For now, my review of this game is a thumbs up - but will edit with further information when I either finish or get to a point in the game that completes all the achievements :)

Currently I have found no bugs, but the game could use with a little more polish, and perhaps a little more gameplay. I’d love to see if this product continues on and, if so, where it might lead.

If possible, I’m not rating this either recommended or not recommended. If I can’t do that, I will give it a No recommendation, but it’s a near thing.

This is almost, but not quite, a really cool game.

Pros:

  • The game is cute, and runs smooth. Graphics all go together/look good.

  • I didn’t see a lot of bugs (I may have seen one, but it could have been user error on my part).

  • It didn’t take a lot of time to understand how the game worked, and the tutorial gave you just about everything you needed to know to get going and figure the rest out yourself.

Worthy to buy and play

It something I long to get buy didn’t know where get it. They had on Steam.

I am not sure if there others?

This one I collected it plays on on win 10.

Like: build up campgrounds, upgrades, events

Dislike: they should give objective at every point of map, there no additional map after you get hang of map.

Personal Opinion:

puzzle unlocks premier campsite to play.

Game Introduction:

You must have experienced a lot of combat, strategy, decrypting, racing, and dazzling gameplay, so relax and experience the fun of building blocks for a change. With a simple, orderly build, give your character a gem to beat, and record your fastest challenge time. Simple plain, high mountain, lonely island. Five blocks, three maps, and three difficulty levels to get you through the boring hours. Forget the gems, don’t put so much pressure on yourself, you can build your own castle, watch out for the collapse.

Development Introduction:

Collapse is the first project I created independently, inspired by children playing with blocks and memories of childhood playing with blocks. The process of the game is simple and the gameplay is random. The whole building blocks simulate the real physical accumulation. With the increase of the height, the possibility of collapse becomes higher. The scene is relatively open.

Special Notes

1. The anchor point of Building blocks is the center of the screen, need some time to adapt;

2. Building blocks is challenging thing, jumping is also challenging;

3. Made your own style through play games, completing the mission quickly and effectively;

4. Building blocks will be vary hard, more higher more challeger, you should be ready for control your trembling hand.

A very addicting game …. you start to play and…. it’s already morning…. Everything seems to be quite simple, but with each level it becomes more and more difficult. And a special thank you for the highscore! Nice graphics and music create a special atmosphere. Watch the video for details …

I like that the game is pretty lenient with exploring and doesn’t seem to go out of it’s way to brutalize you. There’s a few major flaws with the game though one it takes forever to find important items (unless I was just unlucky) and the lock pick which is the second item you find in the game flat out does not work I tried multiple ways to make it work and even got the game to kill itself in defiance of using the item Errror script at the bottom of the review. Overall though the achievements are gettable and it’s enjoyable enough it’s too bad I couldn’t see the story I would have liked to see if there was an ending.

Day After Day is reminiscent of The Wanderer-Post Nuclear RPG, in that you are to survive as long as you can in the wasteland by scavenging for food, water, and items needed to complete side quests. The initial idea of this game is great, and could go a long way if developed more.

However, there are no cut-scenes or combat, not even turn-based combat. Days are split into quarters, with a clock to click on when you want to advance the time of day. When you choose to explore the wasteland, you are “gone” for a quarter of the day. You return and the player reads a journal entry/note about the characters exploration. Usually, it is 100% random on whether or not you retrieved items, had items stolen, or got hurt.

Diner Mania

Diner Mania

Diner Mania is what it sounds like, a combination of Diner Dash and Cake Mania. As far as content goes, Diner Mania is bare bones, offering only the most minimal of content a game of this genre can present. The storyline is fairly straightforward: A string of family friendly restaurants are driven out of business by rowdy bikers who vandalize, terrorize, and refuse to pay their bill, leaving only the owners of the Italian restaurant in charge of helping rid their town of the biker plague and put their neighbouring restaurants back in business. Despite this endearing storyline, this game itself is anything but endearing,

Diner Mania is a game where you are given the task to run a restaurant, serve customers and try to get gangsters to leave the business. With the money you earn you can upgrade your restaurant and get new dishes to serve. Eventually you save enough money to buy three more restaurants and you should try to earn the full three stars in each restaurant to finish the game.

The game has a good pace, and can get quite difficult at times when you are swarmed with customers. Thankfully you are able to switch restaurants in the game, so it never really gets boring (until the end, when I was trying to get the three stars in the last restaurant, and no upgrades left, that was a bit tedious).
