Asteroids Maneuvers

Asteroids Maneuvers

The “Don’t Escape Trilogy” is a collection of three short first-person point-and-click adventures with static screens (no camera movement, no scrolling). The games share a creepy atmosphere and a few gameplay mechanics, but are otherwise unrelated. In the first game, you play a werewolf trying to lock himself away before a full-moon night, so that he won’t kill anyone when he turns. In the second game, you’re trying to barricade a house and protect yourself from a zombie horde. In the third game, you’re the only surviving crew member on a spaceship and need to stop “something” from getting out.

Even though the entire trilogy is available for free on Armor Games, I chose to purchase this game series on Steam because that’s how amazing ScriptWelder really is. The Deep Sleep and Don’t Escape series were some of the first PC games I ever played, and I have ScriptWelder to thank for making my early experiences so magical. I have followed each and every game you have published on AG, hunted down every achievement, set of choices, and walkthrough I could find… simply, because every single second I spent in any of your games was one of either awe, wonder, fear, or curiosity.

PowerWash Simulator

PowerWash Simulator

I highly recommend this even though in real life actual power washing is kind of boring and you just don’t want to do it. But this it’s just you and you alone with your power washer cleaning everything you see. It so relaxing with the all the atmospheric/ambient sounds you get into a zen like state. Which is kind of a negative there is no music would I like original music for the game? Yes but you can have your own music on in the background and yes this is still in early access so maybe we get a soundtrack in the future…Will see.

All I have got to say is I can’t get enough of Power Wash Simulator! It is the most relaxing game I’ve ever played! There is nothing more satisfying then putting in hours of work to see the time lapse at the end. I get a sense of accomplishment when completing the big jobs. Looking forward to any updates of the future. Excuse me while I go purchase a Power Washer.

This is definitely one of my favorite VNs of all time! Despite not having complex stories or anything, the comedy and the game’s charm shines all the way from start to finish, not to mention the girls themselves who are one of the best I’ve ever seen. Took me 42 hours to finish all 5 routes.

First thing’s first, the two main focus are comedy and romance. They’re nicely balanced out, the comedy never overshadows the romance too much and vica-versa. The comedy itself is high quality, sure there are some forced and less funny jokes, but it genuinely made me laugh out loud lots of times and me chuckling and smiling every few minutes became normal.

Decent VN For First Timers

As the title suggests, I view this is a pretty good intro to the VN genre. The problem with a lot of VNs that alienate beginners are the plethora of endings, bad endings, middle ground endings, pregnant endings and whatever the fuck BS that all takes 100 hours to finish with minimal to 0 voice acting. Another problem is that usually the choices you make do not logically produce the results you seek which basically forces players to fill out the 900 save states that they are given for every choice. Albeit with some flaws, this is a very decent, light and beginner friendly VN that can get you into the genre pretty easily.

Master Of Pottery

Master Of Pottery

This game manages to be addicting for the sheer fact that you can make the most ridiculous pieces out of just a few strokes and patterns. Wanna make a plain vase? Sweet. Wanna make an elephant? Slap that spout and some handles on there, and you got an elephant. You can even upload custom patterns to paint onto your projects too! There are some cons, but since this is still early access I won’t fault them for it yet.

Pros

*Lots of different ways to throw and paint your pottery once you get going

I had a similar game to this when I was younger, so I bought this expecting a similar experience. It really exceeded my expectations. The thing that really makes this game stand out to me is the little details. In case you want to just experience the whole thing yourself, just take my word for it, you probably won’t regret buying this and at the end of the day it’s at a good price for what it is.

General stuff:

You start off with some basic tools, but the store has such a variety of different patterns, colours, etc. and eventually unlocking parts for your pottery. More things unlock as you level up and go to the next day, which is nice. There is basically no limit to what you can create, which seems odd at first, since the game in general looks like it would be really simple. You can adjust the size of pottery parts, handles, lids, you can change where it’s placed, and so much more. It’s all very easy to do, you don’t really need any gaming experience for that.

Why I’d Recommend

At the moment, this is my go-to Sit Back and Relax game. That said, this isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed so I’ll just cover the basics. This is one of those times I’d say it’s worth the price for the content you can create, if not more. Not something I say about a lot of games. I have zero painting talent (my first save during the demo was hilariously bad) and yet there is a good variety of tools to keep my designs interesting/unique for a full playthrough. For being EA, this was surprising. The freedom of being able to paint on any surface and mix any color with no time limits is a big plus, many possibilities only hindered by your imagination. Tracking footprints through spilled paint? Flamethrower as a base? Paint/Glitter guns? Yes, please. I dunno why this is satisfying but it is, lol.

I nominated this game for the “Sit Back and Relax” award.

It’s fun, there’s no pressure, and the soundtrack is nice. You can just draw/paint your frustrations of the day away and you don’t even have to be a great artist to enjoy it. Then you have the added bonus of commissions/quests to give you prompts when you feel at a loss or uninspired. The fact that you can use a tablet if you want is HUGE. (I haven’t tried this yet, but I really want to). I could spend hours playing this game without even realizing it. The developers actually listen to community feedback and suggestions as well, which is just another point in their favor.

Burger Shop 2

Burger Shop 2

I adore Burger Shop 2. In all seriousness, it’s in my Top 10 Favorite Games. Going between breakfast, lunch, and dinner keeps it from getting stale, along with the ability to pick what item will be added to the restaurant next. This ramps up the difficulty without ever feeling unfair. The music is catchy and the graphics are bright and colorful. Besides the regular and expert campaign, there are relaxing and challenging modes. Don’t skip the credits!

One of the highlights for me is the customers. They have names, bits of backstory, and personality like I haven’t seen in other games of this type. They each have unique quirks; the ninja who orders breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The skater who only orders one item. The punk with very low patience. (There may be aliens…) It brings the game to life, and I’ve never been happier to serve a skater or dread a sumo wrestler.

YES this is a masterpiece of a video game and should be played by any person who consiters themselfs a gaming enthusiast. Honestly it’s just sad that games that have very little heart or soul put into them somehow overshadow stuff like this, just a shame. And if I found an entire warehouse full of copies of this game I’d get an airplane and stuff the thing full of these and air drop them onto every continent there is to exist.

Pros:

-Burgerbot is the best guy ever. When you see him make sure to get him to work.

Koi Farm

Koi Farm

I really enjoy this game and the collecting Koi, its a very relaxing Koi breeding simulator but there are so much that can be made better. First is perhaps adding just a few more ponds so that we can oragnize the same types of Koi together else it just ends up being a huge mess of Koi swimming together and it can be hard to pick up a specific Koi you are looking for. Also, there are a few bugs here and there that causes the game to freeze sometimes but it will go away when you restart the game. Just hoping that these small bugs will be solved in future updates so that the gameplay is smoother.

This game is relaxing and slightly addicting at the same time. At its core it’s a ‘fill the book collection’ type of game, but there’s no pressure or time limit to do so. You start with a couple base fish colors and then after each book page is unlocked, the game requests slightly more and more complicated color varieties using some basic breeding techniques. There is a very simple tutorial, but otherwise it’s all experimentation (unless you look up a guide of course!)

The game itself is fairly basic and no frills, but for $3 I couldn’t ask for more. What it does have is quite well done. The sound effects of water/rain are soothing and graphics are pleasant to look at. This is one of those games you can just have idling on another screen because it’s actually quite nice to look at the fish swimming around and have the water sounds.

Mini Motorways

Mini Motorways

Absolutely LOVE this game. As in Mini Metro, this game is easy to learn how to play and yet hard to master, in certain ways. The game is a bit more complex than Mini Metro, but still a relaxing style of play. The RNG of this game seems to be more prominent as well.

As you start the game a “business” appears as a large rectangle building, also appearing are houses that contain two cars. You must build your citie’s infrastructure to move these cars to like colored businesses, to pick up “pins” that start congregating at each business. You always have road tiles to do this with as soon as the game begins. Different maps provide different things to begin with, you may start with a bridge or tunnel, depending on the map. Other building materials are round-a-bouts, traffic lights and motor ways.

Of the two ‘Mini Mobility’ games [this should actually be this series’ compound name], ‘Motorways’ is probably the easier one, ultimately. After all, I’ve gotten all the achievements for it, whereas ‘Metro’s harder achievements elude me to this day. It’s got a bit of a steeper learning curve, though. But once you wrapped your head around all the new elements and rules, you’ll love this one as much as you do ‘Mini Metro’. A very good continuation without just doing the same thing again.

Tree Simulator 2020

Tree Simulator 2020

Botany defines trees as perennial and woody seed plants that have a dominant shoot axis that increases in size due to secondary growth of growth. These features distinguish a tree of shrubs, ferns, palms and other woody plants. In contrast to their developmental predecessors, most trees also have significantly more differentiated leaf organs, the multiple branched side shoots (long and short shoots) arise. The trunk, branches and twigs are elongated every year by the exudation of end and side buds, lignify and increase in size. In contrast to the shrub, it is a special feature of the trees that the end buds dominate over the lateral buds (apical dominance) and thereby form a predominant main instinct (acrotony).

Have you ever woken up and refused to move? If so, Tree Simulator 2020 is for you. With the best looking tree around, you get to enjoy the peace of being a tree. All you have to do is watch your leaves wave in the wind.

As a tree visionary, I see the great potential that this game contains. In the future I foresee a multiplayer. Where you and your friends can sway in the wind together. Hopefully we see some great advancements in trees.

12/10 would recommend and (of course) bought the game for all of my friends to enjoy.
