Angle of Attack

Angle of Attack

Battlecruiser 3000 is a game in which you control a gigantic battleship managing every aspect of it, building and upgrading its capabilities as you travel across the galaxy fighting in a war of truly epic proportions.

Angle Of Attack is a poor and simplistic version of that.

Instead of an entire galaxy to play around in, you have a single planet. Instead of a complex and intricate upgrade and management system, you just increase numbers and none of the upgrades really change how the game plays and instead of taking part in an organic conflict you just kind of cruise around, rarely if ever seeing a friendly.

Angle of Attack is yet another variation of Derek Smart’s Battlecruiser 3000 “franchise”. It started as a comprehensive simulation of a starship command, down to crew and food, and weapons, and trading and planets and fleet that starships moving all around you, doing their own things, and you can help your own side in the war effort. In Angle of Attack, you are down to one planet, with jump gates that takes you to other parts of the planet, and you can attack or defend as you wish against the humankind’s nemesis, the Gamulons.

Colossus Mission - adventure in space, arcade game

I think the people most likely to enjoy this are fans of cave flyers, so I give it a recommended rating since that appears to be the game’s target audience. Meaning if you look at this list and think to yourself “yeah my kind of games,” then Colossus Mission will be for you. Everyone else will probably want to hold off on it, or at least wait to see if it gets any substantial updates.

In about an hour of play, I completed 55 of 73 levels. I expect it would take me another hour to beat the rest of them; the later levels were really becoming a steep challenge for me. The scoring system allows you to spend your earned points to skip stages if you find them too difficult. Each skip costs 5 points, and you can earn up to 3 points per stage depending on how well you perform while completing them

COLOSSUS MISSION is an arcade game with raw and slightly angular graphics and a various levels of difficulty. The first stages are easy but then the game becomes much more difficult. I recommend it to players who are interested in flawless playing games on time.

Interesting, short and surrealistic Science Fiction game. Kind of in the same vane as Fugue In Void. I actually think it’s a little too short. But what do you expect for a $1.00 and programmed by one person? Would be nice to see this in a large scale game.

Not sure what the hell I just played but it was awesome and totally worth the $1. This game would go good with mushrooms.

2236 A.D. Secretary Stories

2236 A.D. Secretary Stories

Short story, interesting world building and deeper than just some secretary dating sim. It’s an introduction to the world and characters of 2236 A.D - it also includes the prologue of the game under “Extras”. Will buy (when in sale).

The prequel gives depth/emotion to characters and introduces key concepts of the main story so naturally, it should be included as part of the base game in the first place.

The online requirement to play is kinda problematic. I was never able to play the game with network connection in my apartment.

I wish Chloro could make an offline version and present it as a (preferably free) DLC for the base game.

Okay to clarify some of the bad reviews. This is a game that is a result of a team working on an NFT project, not a full time dedicated team of game development professionals working in a studio. This doesn’t mean, however, that this game wont be great. There is so much planned for this game in the next 10 years and once things get off the ground the growth will be exponential. At the time of writing this review there is not much to do in the game and is really only cool to see the use of your NFT in game (which is pretty fucking cool btw). If you don’t own any Evaverse NFTs and download this game with the expectation of it being a normal game just like any other on steam your going to be dissapointed…. for now. LIke I said this game is an infant right now compared to where it will be. So stick around and watch it grow! The discord and twitter community is pretty awesome so come check us out.

The game is pretty bare bones but it has tons of potential. I’ve played for hours, the developers are very active and adding new content and modes. It’s only going to get better from here. Its probably one of the most immersive nft games out there now. Hoverboard racing looks super fun!

P-bot, an addictive skill-based platformer

This game is so much fun. It’s highly addictive and you will keep coming back for more. There are multiple game modes, and they’re still being updated and improved constantly.

As of now, you have 2 game modes, the first one being delivery mode. Delivery mode is a platformer where you’re a delivery robot that’s flying through a futuristic city. Here you can use your abilities as a robot to make your way to the city, and make use of the environment to get as far out as possible.

Refraction

Refraction

Refraction is a good visual novel with an interesting story line and a unique art style. The game has multiple endings and branching pathways throughout the game. This visual novel didn’t contain any voice acting and while that wasn’t an issue for me I know some players are picky about that sort of thing so I figured I would mention it. The game has icons at the bottom of the screen for saving loading and that sort of thing that initially had me confused but fortunately there is a help section that will tell you what the buttons do. I’m a bit surprised this game hasn’t gotten more attention. Hopefully people will read this review and give the game a chance like I did.

Developer: Universe Zero

Publisher: Universe Zero

Pros:

1. An interesting plot surrounding heavy realistic themes such as taking down someone known for sexual offenses while also using alternate universes to present a larger conflict to the main character.

2. The characters Jun and Paul are unique with their differing personalities, showing clear disagreement on certain topics. This also plays out on whose route you decide to go with. The same goes with the side characters that you are involved with in your journalistic ventures.
