Game description key-points: short auto-scripted story

This doesn’t feel like a game. It’s a small story about a very rough dog life. It’s quite sad actually. I have played the game twice with a different character the second time hoping for a different story or even tried for a different outcome but there were no changes. It’s a very short story and I wouldn’t recommend it. I am not sure if the developer had some sort of personal experience that had to deal and this was his way of coping with it but I don’t recommend this game.

Timmy the Tiger’s Big Adventure

Timmy the Tiger’s Big Adventure

Underrated gem. A surprisingly witty little adventure. If you like classic RPGs, you’ll probably like this one too. Rewards exploration, pleasant graphics, and in general just very fun for what it is. Short and sweet, but well worth the price.

Also, you play as a tiger named Timmy.

10/10 would tiger again.

Beyond Reality

Beyond Reality

This is actually a pretty enjoyable RPG! The story was interesting enough to keep me engaged, and the gameplay was quite fun.

The story has a time-traveling element to it and I always like those. It may be a bit slow after the intro, but after you get through a few dungeons (which are comfortably short enough), it picks up the pace. The game actually gets better the further you play, and I especially like the scenes toward the end of the game.

Battles were quite fun, despite the simple turn based battle system. Most battles don’t last very long, so you won’t get bored of fighting. Fights are balanced well, a bit on the easy side but it does have its challenging moments.

At this point we all know Aldorlea Games to be an RPGMaker games publisher with some quality and expectation stored for us. Being EternalShadow Studios' first and only game developed so far, Beyond Reality is a JRPG done right - within the boundaries of RPGMaker nonetheless. This is a short, story driven game with a beautiful setting and an immersive storyline.

In this technologically advanced little world, the primary problem is the pollution that has already taken an effect over the climate and rendered a major part of the world uninhabitable. As humanity developed, it also consumed and processed natural resources to a degree that mother earth would eventually give up. While bizarre climate changes worry most of the scientist population drastically, Alpha Omega Company researches the causes and consequences of this natural detriment. The day starts as a usual one in the company headquarters… at least until they receive a visitor from the past, demanding aid from the company crew to prevent a war that may very well spell catastrophe for their timeline! So - a bit involuntarily - the crew is snatched from their proper timeline to change the past; thus, maybe achieving a feat Beyond Reality: changing their own future…

Edit: game received an update and is playable now. No insta-death on enemy spawns, Firing works and is accurate with the mouse. this allows proper crowd control which is essential once the introductory above ground levels are over. Lots of other bugs fixed and more to come. As i see now there are no game killer bugs anymore but more polish is needed as the game is quite crude. All in all it is now a recommendable buy - as long as the buyer understands this is a true indie/niche product clearly aimed at people who like games like Druid used to be.

Take whatever amount of money this game costs right now, open your window, throw it out and wait for someone to pick it up. That right there is more enjoyable than playing this.

Absolutely magical! This game is absolutely wonderful. A very joyous concept and plot with beautifully integrated gameplay and metaphor all woven together. The visuals were stunning. Ignore the Steam warning that this game isn’t available in English: the game offers English subtitles in its menu. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves poetry, vampires, and love.

Should have been fun but wasn’t. I’ve tried playing this game three separate times but there’s too many bad statuses thrown on you during battle and there’s never enough money to buy the potions you need. The story is weak too.

A fun little RPG.

Maybe 6 hours to beat, longer if you’re going for 100% complete.

You get a pre-made party of an archer, swordman, hammer wielder and a mage/healer.

There are no stealth elements and you can see the enemies & avoid some.

Not a large map.

One main town with 2 lesser settlements.

A couple of cave systems and a forrest to navigate while questing.

Standard turn-based combat.

Well worth your time and money.

Deadly Sin 2

Deadly Sin 2

Wow, this game deserves an awful lot more praise than it has received! While the story may be a bit on the average side compared to the best RPGs in history, for an RPG Maker game, this game goes above and beyond. Let’s see some ratings:

Graphics: 8/10 (for RPG Maker, of course)

Music: 8/10 (Some really nice tunes here, great work Harmonic!)

Skill System: 7/10 (It’s pretty good, but not ground-breaking. Being able to refund and reuse points is a nice touch, though. Any customization in an RPG Maker game is welcome!)

Well this is something different, ive gotten hooked on an rpg maker game. I neevr thought this day would acually come alas it has. I havent finished the game but from the looked of it and from the other reviews im not even close.

Here is a taste of what you would get if you were to get this game(its always under £1 on g2a so its a steal).

Its very well polished, no mistakes in grammer or spelling

Charecters are well thought out and consistent

Adult humor, not to the nsfw zone but its funny in its own way, its like they are not going for the in your face borderlands style of humor which is great as ive not played a game like that for a while.

I have decided to write this review, because all the negative ones it got.

They almost dissuaded me from playing it.

It’s not about them not recommending the game, but the reasons they give as to why they don’t. I finished the game and I don’t even understand what some of them are even talking about.

The game is either the, or one of the first tries of the developers and it kind of shows.

It’s unrefined at times, but in my experience, not enough to be a bother.

Starting from the beginning.

The characters are mediocre at best, but the dialog is generally nicely written and entertaining, so it balances out.

Real player with 52.9 hrs in game

Easily the worst RPG I’ve ever played for numerous reasons. In no order in particular:

  • Unremarkable, grossly archetypical, banal characters severely lack character development and talk way too much and demand too much slamming of the enter key to advance dialog. Storyline is likewise boring.

  • Horribly unbalanced, unrefined, undistinguished, even useless mechanics with regards to stats, equipment, basic attacks, spells, level ups, etc

  • Frustratingly long, methodical unrewarding, monotonous battles both regular and bosses. Many battles require you to cheat to win even with max levels and best equipment

Destiny of Altrais

Destiny of Altrais

so the game has good bones, however i feel there should be a Run away option when in a fight… also the potions are super weak for just starting the game out and the monsters you fight are quite difficult in the beginning. Also what makes the game a bit frusterating is that when you die … thats it game over completely now you have to start completely over from the beginning which makes the game EVEN HARDER when you just start. Need a bit of work but looking forward to some tweeks in a hopefully soon update. i enjoy the story line and how the story unfolds the more i play.
