BreakHack
To be honest, this is the first true rogue-like that I have played. I previously never understood the draw to the genre, but since playing Break Hack, I am really enjoying it and will play others after this. This game is much more difficult than I expected. Perhaps difficult isn’t the correct word..maybe unforgiving is better? There are holes and labrynths that you can fall (to death) in. Add some wind, traps, pyromancer fire to that and you have to be VERY careful which direction you move each play. Also, recalling which relics you have becomes important because your gameplay may change slightly (e.g. the shield). There is definitely strategy involved. There could be some things that, if implemented, would make this game just brutal. I am not going to say though! haha. One thing that I think would be great to have, but I am not sure if this is against the spirit of the genre, is a save/continue system. Not something that you could use to keep replaying loads, but something simple so you can put the game down and then come back to that playthrough.

Portal Defect
I really wanted to like this game given its similarity to hotline miami, as well as looking really gorgeous, but there are just too many things wrong with it for this to be currently sold out of early access. Some examples being, the game being 20gb when it can be compressed down to 10gb through Compactor, it being incredibly unoptimized (my 1060,i7-7k, 16gb of ram rig struggling to push out 50-60 fps), not being able to turn off/turn down the repetitive music even though theres an option in settings(!), melee weapons feeling incredibly clunky, and falling out of the literal map. On the other hand, I will say that there are some really good aspects about the game such as the previously mentioned graphics being really pretty and some of the mechanics are kind of interesting. However in its current state I feel the dev has just rushed the gun on marketing this spaghetti code, and if he really felt that he wanted to make it great, his plan should have been making some version of this a free demo and THEN publish a polished game, instead of the current mess that it is. However, I suspect that this game has ultimately been abandoned given there havent been any updates since april of this year (and it was published of january of this year), but I suppose time will tell.

For and early access game its, fine leaning on not being a good first impression. The games music is broken and continues playing at the loudest volume possible, the loading and performance is heavily unoptimized to the point where even my 1070 and i7 seem stressed. The hit registration is confusing and inconsistent as hell when you think you should hit or be hit by a melee weapon, it doesnt land, not to mention most guns dont sound or hit the way you would think, a shotgun seems to fire as if it was a semi automatic assault rifle without any power, it feels like its shooting 5.56 or 9mm rounds. The spells have no impact and aren’t explained either. If you want to go in barehanded you cant even attack. The loading of levels is just strange and laggy. Nothing really motivates me to move forward, and this first impression has been a very sour one so far. I can’t recommend this game so far although it looks like it can have potential. Don’t take this the wrong way but i’ve been keeping an eye out on this game and it look interesting, i want it to succeed but in its current state it leaves much to be desired even in early access compared to the other games i have played.

BASIC ROGUE
I’m in a Discord call with two buddies sharing strats and trying to figure out how to get further. Got my money’s worth in 15 minutes.
Edit after 5 hours:
Game remains incredibly fun, there are definitely some aspects that could use polish but the developer has been very open to feedback and is doing a nice job of updating the game with new features. 10/10 would recommend.

This game is shockingly fun. Of course, I raised Constitution as much as possible to get my armour to 100%, and I got my fighting up to legendary+3, so I didn’t have anything to worry about except for finding those leylines.
All in all: Well worth the $3 and the 10MB.
Also: You can pick up doors and put them back down! You can basically make a base if you wanna!

TV Kid
I love this game. The art and music come together to make a really fun and enjoyable aesthetic. Unlike most other clicker games I’ve played this one actually has some difficulty in it, so that’s another plus. Since its release, TV Kid has been getting multiple updates, adding convenient and noticeable features. The creator has said they would continue to work on and update the game at a slower and steady pace, which is most likely going to make any new additions even higher quality. This is a great thing because that will hopefully mean this game will have an increasing replay value over time.

Fantastic game. I was stunned by how realistic the game is. The Attenborough-like narrator and the documentary setting make the game quite educative.
Bullsharks [Carcharhinus leucas] give live birth, which makes the enforced caesarean section at the beginning of the game totally believable. They are found in sweet and salt water alike, which totally explains how the shark can intrude that many lakes and rivers. They are also big on energy conservation. For example, they react to external factors and can decrease energy required for osmoregulation. That totally explains how the shark can eat an entire bbq society while crawling and jumping for several kilometres over a golf lawn. Arguably, bio-electricity and grenade-resistance are rather atypical mutations of bull sharks, but hey, who can really claim to understand nature? Similarly, the shark possesses an active sonar which seems unlikely given that it’s only to be found in marine mammals, but it’s totally possible that her father was a humpback whale (also given the incredible size that this specimen reaches).

World of MiniMonsters
WORLD OF MINIMONSTER is a game of creature collection. You must beat 20 levels to reach the boss in the final showdown. (This can change each game).
To be able to beat the final boss, you should level up your MiniMonsters. What better way to do it than with potions?
POTIONS - Buy potions to make your MiniMonsters stronger or change its stats. But you will need gold to buy them, then…
LET’S GO ON ADVENTURES! - Each level has 3 different adventures, 2 easy and 1 not so easy. While you are overcoming adventures, you will get gold and new potions for your MiniMonsters. You will need to have specific MiniMonsters to reach the victory. So, you should manage your group of MiniMonsters as better you can.
Are you ready to FIGHT? - Beat 3 different MiniMonsters in each land to reach the next level, but be careful! Maybe the last one is a Gold Star Minimonster (like a little boss with a special skill).
How to FIGHT? - It’s very important to know that each type of MiniMonster has different strengths and weaknesses. Light gets a bonus when fighting against Nature. Nature gets a bonus when fighting Mechs. Mech get bonuses when fighting against Dark, and Dark get bonuses when fighting against Light. You will also be interested to know that each MiniMonster is linked to an element. So Water gets bonuses against Fire, Fire against Earth, Earth against Air, and Air against Water. These elemental blasts are very powerful but will consume energy.
BATTLEGROUND - Select your battleground to get more bonuses for your MiniMonster. Each battleground will help one type of MiniMonster. Thus, it is essential choose your battleground well.
GAMES’S FEATURES:
-
68 MiniMonsters (64 playable)
-
13 Different potions
-
35 Adventures
-
16 Battlegrounds
-
9 different skills that change the fate of the battle
-
Random music for the main panel and battles

Got me hooked, seems overwhelming at first but it’s incredibly simple once you keep going for literally a few secs. Can be a bit hard but I’m still trying to get better at it the more I know and see. Curious little game to chill for a quick run.

Conjurer Andy’s Repeatable Dungeon
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!
This game is 100% like a Free to Play Mobile game. It certainly was made for that audience and still is Pay to Play. Screenshots do not SHOW how the game really is and they do not mention anything of that on the store page. This is certainly NOT a deckbuilder. You can chose 3(!) cards for a run. 3! The “fights” consist of simply clicking on a wheel of fortune. Either all your characters hit the enemie or they don’t. That’s as much strategy as their is involved. You just get rewards if you don’t die and leave the dungeon. Even then all your used cards expire. What does this mean? There is a timer, like in most free to play games which tells you how long you have to wait til you can use these cards again. For gold you can skip that. If you die in a dungeon, you don’t get gold.

Dungeon Delver
Game’s fun. Finding a broken build and setting up a macro to see how far you can get in the endless mode is genuinely a thing me and a couple friends share. My record is wave 1,427. What’s yours?
– Real player with 21.2 hrs in game
4 ability but there is no reason to use scorch when enemy comes in 3 (better use aoe) and fireball can get lifesteal upgrade.
Basically endless mode is making the wizard as beefy as possible with HP and magic shield power up. Then you slowly aoe the monster to death. Because of this buying starting wave is more penalty than bonus. You lose the chance to spawn random talent upgrade by skipping those wave.
edit = endless more is literally endless. The deeper you go means the more power up you would have. Magic shield power up multiplicative with health power up. After certain point magic shield would outscale enemy attack by long shot (enemy stats is linear).
