Ambidextrous Psychopath

Ambidextrous Psychopath

Ambidextrous Psychopath is a rigorous platformer that requires you to use both of your hands to control two cubes*. Your goal is to get these cubes to the end of the level as fast as you can, and you cannot proceed if you are too slow. However the only way to truly beat the game is to get a 3-star time on every level. A 3-star time is a fast enough time that is considered “acceptable” by the game, so it gives you three stars. Overall the level design of Ambidextrous Psychopath is good with a “fun and rage inducing” amount of variety. The music is also nice, and it sets the mood rather well.

Ambidextrous Psychopath is a git-gud platformer, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything else. It’s a fun, small title, like all git-gud games should be.

In AP, you will find:

  • Fantastic gimmicks to go along with the clever premise

  • A control scheme that is slippy, but always within reach

  • Game design that knows when to shut up and let you grind on a task

  • Feeling like a boss

The game does have its flaws. Namely, the game’s platforming has no sympathy. If you press jump before hitting a platform, nothing happens. If you press jump just after walking off a platform, nothing happens. Since you’re trying to wrangle two characters at once, this becomes a huge turnoff. If you’re looking for the clean, satisfying platforming of Celeste, you’ll be disappointed.

Another good small indie platformer. Entertained me for the most part of an hour. It can be really challenging at times, but still plenty fun. The goal of each level is to collect every coin in it, so there really is no specific end location, as you can collect them in any order you want (or can).

My only issue with this game are the vine thingies. They are kinda broken and the physics are a little funky, but most of the times this can work in your advantage. Except in level 20. That is probably the hardest level and it took me a zillion attempts to beat. Ironically, I was finally able to pass it thanks to the vine bug. I won’t give you the details as they are a bit hard to explain anyway.

I had a lot of fun playing. It has a short but interesting story. The end of the game got me very excited. The controls are super comfortable, if you die, it’s entirely your fault :)

I liked the tension of the music and the atmosphere. The difficulty of the game is never a minus, on the contrary, when you pass a level, the feeling of satisfaction outweighs and you have fun. I haven’t finished the game yet, but I enjoy the game very much.

Don’t Die! Douche!

This game is fun. It is relaxing but at the same time fills you with RAGE! You simply don’t know what’s going to kill you or when it’s going to kill you.It will make you sweat, you’ll laugh, you may even rage quit. I have live streamed this game on Twitch and I was giggling like a schoolgirl and I’d not even had a beer. Get some mates round, have a few beers and challenge one another to not die. Have fun!

Well, I played this game as a friend made it, and I thought I’d show my support. I’m very glad I did, but partly wishing I hadn’t. The main reason is because it’s so infuriating. It is a great game though, and I’m determined to complete it. Get it. Have fun, and try not to launch anything.

Hello everyone, surfing the internet looking for a game. I came across Dots! The cover of this game immediately attracted my attention, going into the review of the game, I saw a very interesting picture in the form of the same type of game, but still decided to buy it. As soon as I entered the game, I immediately liked the design of the game. After the first 10 levels of the game, I couldn’t get away from it. I forgot about all the problems and just sat enjoying the gameplay. The game is very relaxing and addictive, and you want to play again and again. The game has more than 1000 levels, the game is not as easy as it seems at first glance. For its price, it’s just a cannon!

Double Pug Switch

Double Pug Switch

Double Pug Switch is a simple side scrolling precision platformer and is a frustratingly addictive indie game developed by The Polygon Loft. In order to reverse the consequences from a catastrophic laboratory accident, Otis the Pug must jump through different dimensions to stop the evil cat, Sker. Otis has to switch between dimensions and avoid countless spikes and pitfalls to get to Sker and turn him back into the good cat, Whiskers.

Double Pug Switch is not a game for the easily frustrated or people with slower reaction times. This is a game that will require your total attention and focus at all times. You have to survive by narrowly dodging spikes, avoiding fast approaching pitfalls, and collecting power-ups to inch your way to the next checkpoint, all while higher skilled players try to collect gold and purple coins to buy neat cosmetic hats and masks for Otis to collect in the game’s hat shop. The player will infinitely keep repeating from the last checkpoint they reached, until they reach the next checkpoint or the end of the level.

Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.

|

Is this game a masterpiece? No, not quite. It is a difficult old-school arcade game. An evil cat has spilled some flasks in the laboratory, and the Professor and his pug Otis have been sucked into alternate dimensions. They can only return if Otis, controlled by the player, manages to catch the cat. To do so you have to reach the level exit. Survive 34 auto-scrolling levels, jumping over spikes, and dashing while avoiding to hit solid walls. You can switch between two dimensions, and the levels consist of parts from those two dimensions. Switch between those dimensions with the press of a button and make sure you are always in the right dimension - if there is a ground, stay in this dimension, if there is a wall blocking your way, switch to the other dimension. This switching has to be done while jumping (the longer you press the button the higher you jump) over deadly obstacles and gaps in the floor. Quite challenging. To calm down you can unlock hats for Otis between the levels.
