I Lost My Luggage

I Lost My Luggage

I Lost My Luggage is a chaotic organization game, where you work in a lost and found facility. Organize the lost luggage in any way you like. Just make sure to remember where to find them when the forms describing them are printed out. As the game progresses, your inventive organization strategies will be tested against the accumulating chaos. You are accompanied by your work-from-home supervisor who facilitates hilarious story elements.

There’s lots of forms:

People lose their luggage a lot. They can fill in forms of their lost luggage, sending them directly to the printer in your office. The descriptions get more and more complex throughout the days.

And lots of luggage:

New items come in three times a day, so they can pile up real fast. But don’t worry, if you organize well, you’ll be fine!

Match the forms with the correct item:

If you drop the wrong item off, the conveyer belt will gladly give the item back to you. Feel free to try it again!

Organize the incoming forms:

Organization is key, also when receiving a lot of forms. Organize them on the bulletin board or in a nice big pile. It’s up to you!

Have some fun:

Taking breaks improves your productivity. Hit a kobe or do something else to blow some steam off. Bill will be right there with you!

I’d be more lenient if it were an early access title still in development, but the dev seems to have abandoned it regardless. It clearly was not fully tested before submission - both (relatively) minor (text running off the edges of the surface it’s supposed to be printed on) and severe (totally game-breaking inability to save) bugs become apparent after only a short time of play. The supposed ‘narrative’ is delivered exclusively through a series of sterile radio reports from a very bored sounding narrator, and is told at a geologic pace. Even after my full hour+ of play there was no clear plot, just the barest hints of potential conflict brewing.

Was it worth $10? Absolutely not.

Is it worth $1.80? Maybe, depending on who you are.

If you are expecting a true garden simulator or a game with an interesting story, then you will be quite disappointed on both counts I’m afraid. However, if you are one of those people who likes to take the barest hints of story and setting and weave your own tale from them then there’s hope. I don’t know if there’s a way to win this game or not yet, though I am attempting to find out. There’s a story mode and an endless mode which implies that the story mode does reach a conclusion at some point. For me, the true entertainment in this game came from figuring out how to cheat the system in humorous ways. For example, in order to progress in the game you have to continue to buy and send bowls of fruit to the village. In order to do that you must make money. In order to do that you must grow fruit. In order to do that you must either continuously hit a wooden platform with a pair of mallets (I’m telling you this because the game doesn’t, so you’re welcome one person who’s ever going to read this review), or buy an auto clicker to click the platform for you (at a much slower rate than you can do it yourself). It’s simple enough until you realize that inflation is no joke in this village’s economy. That’s when you either fail repeatedly, wave your arms until they fall off and still fail repeatedly, or start discovering the way to cheat the system. Turns out, you can attach as many planters as you want to one auto-clicker as long as the planters aren’t touching one another. This makes it unnecessary to grow any fruit yourself and you can pretty much just sit at the bottom of your cave doing nothing but occasionally buying absurdly overpriced fruit bowls until you feel like you’ve got your money’s worth of this game.

How to say Goodbye

How to say Goodbye

Once upon a time on the other side

How to say Goodbye tells the story of a character recently turned into a ghost, lost in an unknown world populated by spirits.

In this narrative puzzle game, move the element of decor and the characters to guide the characters out of the liminal space between life and death in which they are trapped.

Help them find their friends who are prisoners of a mysterious wizard and accompany them on their journey to the other side.

Ghosts on a grid

The goal of each level in How to Say Goodbye is to guide your group of ghosts to the exit, symbolized by a door. To do so, move the scenery on a grid and make your way to the door.

But dark forces seem to be holding you back against your will. Lost spirits called spleens will try to prevent you from escaping the liminal space by blocking the way to the door.

Find your friends, avoid the spleens and find your way out of the liminal space!

Someday my ghost will come

Inspired by illustration and children’s literature (Tomi Ungerer, Tove Jansson, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Maurice Sendak…), How to say Goodbye deals with the theme of grief with kindness and sensitivity.

Still shocked by their recent passing, the ghosts of How to say Goodbye try their best to leave the liminal space they are trapped in. Together, they will have to discover how to mourn in order to accept their own death, and “move on”.

I spent a little over 3 hours going through the main and bonus content, So, based on how much these sell for on Steam as opposed to Google Play, it’s way over-priced for the amount of content.

This one was also very simple and repetitive with the “puzzles”.

That being said, it was still fun and overall enjoyable to play, but it’s not worth more than a few bucks, IMO, based on other games of this type.

Game is buggy. I got to the point in the doll house to replace the gauges and scene went back to the start when Miranda was sent to the doll house. I then was unable to proceed. Also the game’s rendering went all crazy. Only the hot spots for actions were visible, the rest of each scene was whited out. Anyway getting a refund, this game is trash. Bugs like this shouldn’t happen with proper testing. I ran into similar bugs with other Domini games. So, I’m of the opinion that the Domini developers are incompetent.

I bought this game for $2.49 USD during the Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2019. I thought I was getting a good deal for a hidden indie gem in VR. It looked very cool in the store page video and screenshots to me … a relaxing platformer with cool visual aesthetics.

Unfortunately, the game is a buggy mess. This game has one of the most horrible UIs that I have ever dealt with in VR. It’s difficult to start the game. If you look at the Steam Discussion area for this game, you will see a post about the game not starting. Well, that’s because the UI is so horrible that it’s very easy to not see how to start the game. It will test your eye sight to start this game because you will have to find the vanishing red reticle to start this game.

This app originally released in Russian so I didn’t download it. Luckily, English language support was added back on November 3, 2021. I strongly recommend this experience for anyone interested in history. I will note that the developer is a Russian government owned news agency (Russia Today). However, I found all the information in this app to be historically accurate.

And this is an important piece of history to remember. This is about the trial of five Nazi criminal defendants which include: Göring, Dönitz, Rosenberg, von Ribbentrop and von Schirach. You’re basically collecting evidence in this app sufficient for their conviction and sentencing for crimes against humanity. The whole experience takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. Most of the information is narrated for you and you will see some videos, lots of photos, & several texts, along with visiting different historically important locations for these defendants.

Nuremberg: VRdict of Nations is a free to play VR experience that is about history. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. This program is now in English, by selecting the English flag on desk. Has 13 steam achievements. Has instructions on vr use at beginning. The English voiceovers was understandable. You have 5 persons of interest to investigate. Looks like there is more than 30 minutes of playtime in this program. You have to search for clues in a linear fashion.
