Siren Head: The Siren’s Forest
Honestly, I cannot express enough how completely inadequate this game is for several reasons. Although it is free to play, I still expected better. The most obvious thing that’s worth mentioning first of all, is the fact that this game has very clearly been rushed during its development. The game is simply lacking quality by such a large margin; that I seriously do not have any clue how it can even be considered a 100% completed product.
The game has extremely poor optimisation and graphics to the point where it’s almost unplayable, because you can’t see nearly anything due to the game’s insanely poor and detail lacking graphics. Followed by that, the story is too short which further demonstrates how very little effort was clearly put during the creation of this game. But to end on a positive note, the soundtrack and story in this game were pretty great, but unfortunately the game overall has more cons than pros; and therefore I do not recommend.

Oh hey,another Sirenhead game. Aight.
You’re a drunk idiot who,for some reason, decides to go driving in a storm at night.
Sirenhead appears to save you the trouble of wrecking on your own, by running you off a cliff.
In a failure of natural-selection,you somehow survive, and have to try and escape alive.
The gameplay is basically just “Run through the woods”,nothing complicated. The game itself was very short, and even though I died from tripping several times,I won/got all achieves in under 40min.

Estigma [Steam Edition]
This game is bizarre in a really good way. The horror elements are fun and engaging, and the style of game play is simple but entertaining. This game was built with people who love puzzles in mind, with the real puzzle starting after the game is over. Can tell that who ever made this game put a lot of love into it, can’t wait to see what happens next. The only real issues I have with this game are that the controls are unclear, made sure to check them out before starting the game.

This game is actually amazing. I currently have the fastest recorded completion time for the Normal Ending in 18:25, so here’s what I have to say about this:
I love this game’s atmosphere. Everything about this game makes me uncomfortable, so the game is definitely doing it’s job. I love how the creature you play as also sings a little song if you hold down Z. It’s a really nice touch.
The puzzle based gameplay is amazing, it flows really well. Levels like Anxiety are my favorite types of levels to play, since it always leaves you at the edge of your seat.

Harthorn
Yes! Another solid example of what I love about indie horror! So Harthorn is a solid game about a security guard that’s sent to investigate a break in at the high school. What was a run of the mill break in turned out to be a disturbance in the force. This game has you solving some super simple puzzles as well as some mild stealth sections. Neither are too aggressive to be frustrating and not simple enough to be pointless. Overall, this game is a solid spoop with a decent enough story.
Pros:
- Graphically, the lighting looks great! Textures are pretty solid minus some trees, but I think I might be the only person who gets nit picky about it. I like my textures okay? The darkness is balanced well to the point where your vision is kind of obscured by the darkness, but not like some horror games where you can only see as far as your nose.

Wow! This game is a lot of fun.
The AI is glitchy(I’ll talk about that in a second) and it’s a little short as it can be completed in just over an hour, but overall a very enjoyable experience.
I loved the idea of being a security guard in a creepy old high school during holiday break. The atmosphere was very unsettling but welcoming at the same time. The story was fleshed out well enough, I kinda feel like there could have been some more meat to it though. Maybe more diaries/articles? Or maybe more urban legends shared by the nice lady in your ear? While eerie, I felt like it could be more unsettling.

Monsters of Little Haven
insanly catching and tough story especially the end in which
! baloo gets sliced up and it changes to the text panel were kenneth holds the corpse saying we beat the monster, that one hit really hard
it’s by far one of the best games i ever played, for everyone wondering, there isn’t any real gameplay it’s basically just a visual novel were you click from textpanel to textpanel
leisure playtime is around 1h, about ~5h to complete all endings
just noticed now that it’s free to play, so absolutly worth the time

Branching, fully voiced visual novel about a pair of kids and their troubled by monsters family.
Explores its somber, delicate themes in a smart and gentle way. To piece the plot together you’ll have to check out all the branches of the story, which took me around 3 hours and was entirely worth it.
Very solid writing, background music does a good job of building atmosphere.
Each ending has a unique music theme, and those songs are absolutely haunting.
If I really had to nitpick, English narrator’s delivery occasionally feels a bit off (he puts a lot of passion into “Thunder rumbled!” line though). Russian VO, on the other hand, is very good.

Murder by Moonlight - Call of the Wolf
Y’all, I like to play this type of game when i want to just chill and lose the problems of the day and not have to be looking over my shoulder to see who is trying to take me out of the game. Its a Detective, Match 3 with some hidden object side games to change things up a little. The match 3 game i have played when you run out of move it just shuffles the tiles or sets a new grid, this one give you police tools to take out single tiles or a entire line. It’s a fun game and i enjoyed it. I got my five dollars worth. WATCH OUT FOR THE SPIDERS!!

A marginal thumbs up for this casual Match 3 / hidden object ‘mystery’.
The good:
The Match 3 gameplay is solid and relatively fun. The time limit was just there to provide a little incentive to hurry, and I rarely ran out of time.
The concept of dialog rewards and hidden object mini-games works well with the theme.
I got 9 hours out of this, and I think it ended right about when I wanted it to. Time wise, at least.
The meh: Story and dialog were super generic. The character art looks outdated and…weird. It’s not the worst, just unappealing. Also, I could have used MORE dialog and story. Like how about an interaction reward after each and every round? Not just after every three or so?

Naked News
One of the funniest games ive played in ages. I havent been laughing this much since … i dont even know anymore. Its a wonderful game and definitely worth its price. Oh and since the credits encouraged me to give the creators of the game some feedback: ITS AWESOME, YOU DID A SPLENDID JOB GUYS AND I HOPE THERE WILL BE MORE OF THAT. No but seriously, im willing to spend all my hard earned money on games like this. As uve stated in the credits jokes are getting a worse image day by day and so i love to see guys like you who dont hesitate do be a little bit more daring than most of the other devs out there. Seriously, the price is fair and square for what we get, its a great game and im looking forward to see more of you :)!

Having played Randumb Studios, this one on it’s surface seemed much different as most of the others are horror themed. Fun little game - it’s brief but definitely worth the price and you will get some laughs out of it if you aren’t too dead inside.
I also suspect the game itself is a piece of a larger puzzle that I have yet to figure out but has me intrigued to no end. Recommend this and the other Randumb Studios games!

Night in Riverager
The developer mentions that there are some mild fantasy violence and also includes topics such as murder and torture; there is none of that in the game.
It’s also rather short, about 10-12 minutes where you talk to your mom and then you leave to fetch her some medicine since she has some sort of illness. When you leave your home, you venture northward to access a bridge to go to your uncle’s home.
You don’t make it. It ends, to me, abruptly. I don’t mind it being short, but I would like to have a bit more closure. At least let me get the medicine…

DISCLAIMER: This is a full review, and NOT a first impressions review
Night in Riverager is a game developed by Two Star Games and published by V Publishing
The game offers some nice graphics and a really beautiful aesthetic, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same
The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nonetheless
Night in Riverager overall, however, is a fun game to play, yet sometimes repetitive and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is a really good horror game to play in short bursts!

Project Terminus VR
By far one of the best VR story games i’ve played. Yes it may be quite optimized to fit with quest limits but it is a very good story so far. Got scared a couple times too. Very immersive with a lot of movement needed which is great. I hope there is more to come to this because i love it. Also just a cheeky promo, streamed my play-through with a friend at twitch.tv/controvr :)

I enjoyed the first hour with a friend then stopped playing to gift the game to another for 3 player co-op. We had a couple of problems with one person being disconnected at random but by the third restart, everything worked great for the next hour and a half. This game has a Phasmophobia type feel to it. There are many items/weapons to store and interact with. Has a great looking horror atmosphere and game elements that come together to create tense moments. You are free to explore wherever you like besides the locked door or puzzle elements keeping you from progressing. Supports up to 4 players Co-op campaign but does not support in game chat at this time. Played on HP Reverb G2 with Knuckles controllers

The Nightmare
I like how you keep moving forward without knowing what is going on. I wish the monsters would attack more instead of just doing jump scares. Also I wish it was more fast paced and it would feel like you are all ways running out of time
