Welcome to Princeland

Welcome to Princeland

Welcome to FUN. I enjoyed this game so much, this review is going to be a bit rambling…lol.

This game is basically a nicely structured open-world FPS with gnarly single-player and/or co-op/multiplayer.

This is a game for gamers.

The open world: it’s not GTA or some huge open world. It’s basically an island created with the Unity engine. The game is comparable to a “really well-made B-movie”. The graphics are actually pretty nice considering it’s Unity and it pushes the engine but feels optimized to the point it’s smooth, and able to handle all the singleplayer/multiplayer action.

The cheapest Far Cry money can buy.

I don’t have much time in this game as of this review (2.7 Hours), but I have to say that I’m having a very good experience with it. This game sits somewhere on the fence of ‘Polished indie game’, and ‘Unity shovelware’. Does that mean this game is bad, though? Does it feel like a terrible game to play? Maybe it does at first. But as you start to unlock items, explore, and delve into the many additional pieces to this game, it starts to get a bit addictive.

This game has a nice aesthetic. The art is simple, but it’s charming and it suits the atmosphere of the game. The English can be a bit hard to figure out in some parts, which sometimes lends itself to the experience, but also makes things much harder in other places.

A lot of the puzzles were… well, I don’t know how you’re meant to actually figure them out. In at least one instance, this is simply due to odd placement of an item (the rust remover). In others, I’m not entirely sure if it’s a case of the answer being lost in translation or what, but I had to watch the guide video to accomplish several of them. Maybe if the English was clearer, the puzzles would make more sense, but I can’t say for sure.

Winter Polaris

Winter Polaris

Winter Polaris is created by stage-nana, the same dev who created the famous Narcissu, which I was VN I read 5 years ago, the very first and best one I have read ever. Since I am a reading person, the most noticeable thing is the story. The story has 2 parts, one was written by Kataoka Tomo, the same writer for Narcissu, and the 2nd part was written by another writer he collabed with. Due to what the author said, this is just an experimental work.

First, WP shares a similar style like the previous works, Narcissu and Rain Marginal, from writing style to art style. Even 30% of WP soundtracks are from Narcissu, but I find them very soothing and nostalgic, and of course it fits the story very well.

What an incredible story. It’s left me speechless and I’m not sure how to start this review as i haven’t felt this weird after reading something in a while…

Anyways, Winter Polaris (WP) is the latest work conceived by Kataoka Tomo, author of the acclaimed narcissu series. This time, instead of the story of those awaiting their deaths and what they leave behind, we’ll apparently take the opposite road to the same end: What should one live for, even if they’re

! somewhat bound to not die. So, you’d better come prepared with some tissues.

Damned Hours

The game starts in a good way. The environment of suspense reach to keep you

aware of the instructions. I recomend you to read the game instructions of the

beginning, because there are the keys to understand the game topic. I reach the

day 4 and I can´t wait to start the next house.

The game idea is original and I had never seen it in another game!

Yikes. For a dollar, you really can’t go wrong, and there is alot of work in this title. It’s of the sitting, ‘ride’ style of horror VR experience. It competes well with other non-interactive examples of the genre, but it is a big rough around the edges and amateurish. It is still fairly impressive considering the likely novice nature of the developer(s). It certainly is too ‘ghetto’ to be scary, but it has some very nice horror elements nonetheless, and it is ‘relatively’ long. I loved when you got put in the coffin then the eyes were looking at you. That makes it worth a dollar. This is pretty good. Better than Demonic Guest. Not scary for VR people, but useful to train someone who won’t play the actually scary stuff.

! There is two modes, but just select the ‘harder’ one, so you can see the bloooooood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY6edmTI8S4

Lagged a lot at the second sequence (geforce 980 ti).

Jump scares are short but not bad, for 99 cents its ok for a trial game.

There are 2 endings, this one is the evil one:

i will keep the review to the honest possible.

do i recommend this game? Yes, however the game didnt meet my exceptions for " Game "

its feel like interactive story, not much for the player to do outside of walking and trigger event.

there is also sentence on the trailer " or will you take control of your own destiny " implied that the story going to have decision choosing but there is not any of these features, like i said its just walking to trigger events happening in the game ( unless i missed something ).

I’m positive there have to be worse games than I Want Toilet out there. Mathematically speaking, the odds are just too great. But in the realm of games I’ve played, and boy, I’ve played some real hairy dog turds, this is the absolute worst “game” I’ve ever had the unfortunate luck to come across. There’s no redeeming factor here. The controls suck. The objectives are boring. The interface is fugly. The visuals don’t bother trying. The humor’s so one note you get it all right in the title. The best thing I can say about it is that it’s kind of a beautiful unicorn in its devotion to being dreadful.

Lovestory

Lovestory

Lovestory is a fun little “shoot ‘em up” side-scrolling game, playable just for a bit of amusement. It has several levels.

Its graphics are very basic and blocky - sort of like a 8-bit gun-toting version of Minecraft. However, the detail in the game is quite good for what it is.

You fight against a variety of opponents, including standard enemies, elite troops (in black uniforms), suicide bombers (in red), snipers, etc. Luckily, your weapon has unlimited ammo (just like a John Wayne six-shooter).

POLITICAL DISCLAIMER

In difficult times like the ones we’re going through, it is the duty of every morally upstanding citizen to support works of art like this one which are made by oppressed and marginalized minorities. Before buying a product, you should always ask yourself: “Am I enabling bigotry by giving money to these people?” Sadly, humanity still hasn’t acquired the intellectual maturity to realize that no one should be able to freely spend “their” money as they wish, but rather there should be a central authority preventing hateful people to be paid and prosper. Thus, as long as we live in this anarchic capitalistic regime, it’s up to each one of us and to our moral conscience to be mindful of how we use our money. If you see a game you like on Steam, consider buying our game instead so that you can support an all-female game studio!
