The Dope Game

The Dope Game

The price isn’t that bad, especially considering the current prices of the trading cards. The game itself however is pretty lackluster coupled with a mandatory install for another (free) game in order to unlock all the locations/perks in this game.

The “secret lab” isn’t implemented yet, and the “fun park” is pretty dull as well.

The horrible horrible soundtrack.

The music, and sounds, isn’t bad for the first couple of playthroughs. But once you get the basics down, and start spending -10 seconds on each screen it gets pretty frustrating.

Overview

Drugwars, Dopewars, and now there’s The Dope Game. Same concept, but now it’s on Steam. In case the player somehow doesn’t know the drill, every game starts with a player borrowing money in a turn-based strategy to speculate on the dope market all the while either avoiding (or winning) fights with gang members and cops while hoping to raise enough money to pay back the loanshark and keep buying and selling their way to riches before the days expire.

FYI I know the game designer so getting that out of the way.

Is a really great single player game for passing time especially when you are a person who constantly wants to do better and better and beat their last score. That’s exactly what this game gives to you.

I can’t get enough of this game. From beginning to end I’m challenged to make the right decisions for my business. I didn’t do well at first, but once I kept playing and improving I was able to get the right strategy down. I’m hooked and will definitely be coming back to play this game often! If you’re looking for a chill (but intense) game to pass the time, I highly recommend Burger Joint.

Crime Reaper

Crime Reaper

It’s a neat game, but 2 things it could really use are a harder difficulty than the current expert and a way to note which locations you have eliminated for a particular symbol. The current expert difficulty is still only 2 minute puzzle once you get a bit of practice and the greatest challenge is honestly when you need to keep more than 2 clues in your head in order to figure out where to put the next symbol.

It’s murder sudoku! The difficulty is fun (although I’d like there to be a harder difficulty setting, but I’m also a sudoku veteran, so there’s that), the rules are clever, the writing is… I’m sure I’ll get to it, once I stop clicking fast through it to get to more puzzles :D Very addictive, very nice UI, all in all, I highly recommend this for logic game aficionados.

Crime Stories 2: In the Shadows

Crime Stories 2: In the Shadows

Nice little game with enough content for some hours.

This is a true casual game. You nearly can’t lose it. The only bug I found is that sometimes it can’t identify that there are no moves left (it counts blocked items playable).

The score…..if you like it…but than it repeates a few tunes too much.

Crime Stories 2: In the Shadows:

Your name is John Doyle, an ex-cop who is seeking revenge for the death of his family. The trail leads you to New York City. On the same evening that you are investigating one of your leads, you hear a loud female voice shouting “Freeze. . . drop your guns” coming from an alley close by. Without any hesitation, you rush to the alley and find two young men pointing a gun at each other. The female officer is positioned further back, moving her gun from one gunman to the other. Within a second, all hell comes loose, and shots are fired from both gangsters. One bullet hits the officer in the leg. You run towards the officer to assist her as one of the gunmen is down, and the other slowly makes his escape. Right at that moment, you know you are going to be involved in a case with the New York Police department. Would this case help you to find additional leads on your family killer? You’ll have to find out in Crime Stories 2: In the Shadows.

## Parker & Lane: Criminal Justice

First of all, I gotta say Gamehouse definitely has some creative minds for coming up with the very first detective-themed time management game. Instead of serving various of customers, preparing different dishes, or farming all kinds of plants and animals, **Parker and Lane have you to solve some murder cases**. The game takes you on a journey through all locations relevant to detective’s job; from the crime scene itself to the police station, and the forensics lab.

The story from this series is fine, but not to the point that it really capture my heart entirely nor leaving any highlight impression. It just goes on without really gripping me in the slightest. Don't get me wrong, the story is not entirely bad but it is not really good either. I feel that the ending of the story could be a bit more … grasping to my heart?

I enjoyed being a detective and working in the lab, the story is good filled with mystery and trying to catch the criminal mastermind behind all the deaths. The only negative is, you can't set the difficulty at all. Some stages are super hard to pass and getting those 3 stars is a tough challenge, so if you are an achievement hunter like me. All you need is patience to push through the hard levels!! Some of the achievements are hard to get as well, logging in literally daily to play one level. I despise daily challenges, but damn it feels good having a 100% achievement completion. Would I recommend the game? It's 50/50 to be honest, if you love challenges and repeating a level then go for it. If not, then don't bother to get frustrated.

## Prison Simulator

Prison Simulator, although incredibly silly, has a decent amount of depth to it that makes it very rewarding and dynamic.

In this game, you play as a guard, and can either be law-abiding, or corrupt and self-profiting. You have options in regards to everything. You can be forgiving to prisoners, or unnecessarily cruel (even guards).

Every character has unique behavioral elements that might make them react to different situations in a variety of ways. Fires can break out, as well as fist fights. Prisoners hide contraband in their cells, that if you find, you can either confiscate officially, or keep for yourself, off the record. I loved having the choice. Especially because you have to make sure no one sees you snagging any goods.

## Angels That Kill - The Final Cut

Notification: English is not my native language.

I played the demo of this game and after I've completed it, I simply couldn’t resist buying it. If you can’t decide whether you want to buy it or not, try the demo first.

tl;dr This game is one of the best I played in a long time. It's very organic and well balanced in almost every aspect: story, music, visuals and gameplay.

### Story

Take role of one of the two protagonists striving for survival and/or better life (which is quite difficult, as you will find out). The tragedy of this city lies not only in the recent terrorist attacks, but also in the appearance of an unknown murderer wandering the streets. The game has 5 chapters (with more to come in updates) and multiple endings, depending on choices made by the player.

*– [Real player with 32.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197989319676)*

Okay, Seeing as the game only has negative reviews at this moment, I figure I'll bring something positive to the table. The game isn't bad, Its strange, but not bad at all. It has its quirks, and its ups and downs like every game does, but by far it's not a bad game.

The style of the game, is dark, it even mentions it in the description. It following through with saying the games dark grey to black and white style is true to that of noire films, with a low detail style behind it, might not be the best choice for traditional noire but the game hits key points within the genre.
