Slightly recommended if you’re looking for something that’s a little janky but can be played with friends. I’m sure this would be better with friends who can guard and cook but maybe too easy to start.

The idea is solid and reminds me of overcooked but with enemies. You’re trying to handle kitchen duties while enemies burst in and attack them. They’re pretty quick and once the enemy latches on it’s pretty much over. The powers (attacks) feel very weak and it’s incredibly difficult to aim.

If I was going to suggest improvements it would be:

Assassins vs Pirates is a fun couch co-op arena game. Online lobbies are pretty much empty so I can’t stress enough, if you have friends to play this game, whether local or online, its a MUST HAVE. If you dont have people to play with, I suggest you wait till the price drops a bit, because it is an extremely easy to grasp fun game but the lack of bots makes it heavily reliant on other people.

Really cool and fun game - not really too much in the way of story, but really fun after a whole day of work. It can get pretty dynamic at times :) This game was the reason I bought a controller. Honestly I would recomend it for anyone who doesn’t have the time to immerse themselves into a story-driven game.

In conclusion:

Awesome game for a quick stress relief :)

Dead Exit

Received a steam key for Dead Exit from DadsGamingAddiction after his gameplay video and I gotta say, Well done devs! Well done indeed!.

TLDR; Worth it.

A thoughtful, strategic card game that I’ve enjoyed and am sure others will as well. This game has provided plenty of hours of fun and will most definitely provide even more, especially if you’re a completionist and you’re the type to strive for achievements.

I’ve still yet figured out a strategy for Impossible mode, (and admittedly have pulled out many hairs along the way), although trying to come up with working combos from the cards you were dealt with is quite enjoyable! The deck in your hand, city and discard pile are constantly changing via your choices and/or RNG so having a specific set way of beating the other modes doesn’t always apply.

Dead Exit is a tactical card game, with zombies.

It can be played single player or multiplayer (online and local).

However you are playing, the basics remain the same. You must defend your base from zombies, trying to stockpile enough resources to escape before you are overrun. You get 3 actions per turn, which may seem like plenty but will soon run out. You can play survivor and vehicle cards inside or outside your base, or even sacrifice them for different results. These cards remain in play (unless killed / stolen / etc) so can be used again and again. For example, you’ve played a survivor to kill an undead that was outside your base. Want to do the same again next turn? You can but returning the card to your hand before playing it again has used up 2 out of 3 actions for your turn, so you’d better know what you plan to do next. You can use an action to draw a face down card, but doing so will bring a dead along with it. Other cards can be played as one use only action cards, getting to retrieve a card from the trash or revealing a face down card etc.

Hilarious game. Will have you screaming at the other player. Lower confidence to 0! Increase minimum wage! Good times. Made it to level 6. I guess we weren’t meant to be best friends. I can’t imagine what this game must be like with 3 or 4 people. Great idea dev.

While the game is extremely fun on the rare occasions it does work, the major bugs make it a frustrating experience if you attempt to play for any great length of time.

The Pullcord is flakey at best and downright broken at worse, it comes up so frequently but rarely works properly, you end up getting frustrated with it, and it is probably the cause of 90% of our lose states. Additionally the mechanism for resetting the game seldom works for all 4 players simulatenously, resulting in you having to abort the game and rejoin each time. Finally, opening the SteamVR dashboard causes you to loose the use of your hands. Requiring a restart, or sometimes even a reinstall.

UNDERRATED GAME OF THE YEAR!!! I was not expecting much when I first booted this up, however I am now writing this realising that this game has taken my weekend… A hilarious experience being a border guarding dude.

Game is a bit glitchy, passports falling through the world when thrown out of the window, me falling through the world, getting stuck behind invisible walls because someone thought it was a good idea to try and flip a pickup truck ;)

But I like to think of playing this game as like going on a camping trip where your tent caught fire, a bear took your 3 tins of spam and your just there left drinking whiskey in the rain. Not perfect, but makes the whole experience a little bit more memorable.

Overall Rating: 8/10 Date: 7.7.19

This is a very nice game with a little humor and good story scenarios you get put in. First of all there are 2 campaigns at this point. The 1. one (UK/Europe Border Campaign) and the 2. one (Mexico/USA Border Campaign) which was just recently released. The first campaign contains 10 scenarios (days) which you get put in and you have to master. Each day gives you an extra challenge to look out for. The 2nd campaign which was just released a few days ago is the better one i think. It contains only 5 days but with a little more story and you actually have to spend some more time completing the scenarios and you don’t just get one extra thing to look out for every day like in the UK campaign. It also has new Quadbikes and a pick-up truck. You can also transport contraband with the truck. The developers have their own discord server where they are very active and respond to community questions. The game right now is bug free but has some minor things like the doors on a van being differently colored than the chassis itself but those things are already reported and being looked at by the developers.
