Catch a cat for 60 seconds

Catch a cat for 60 seconds

As the world record holder for Catch a Cat for 60 Seconds, I can confidently say that you will not regret buying this game. The graphics are nothing amazing, but the gameplay is where this game shines. Never in my life have I felt so thrilled to be alive. Running to my PC and playing Catch a Cat for 60 Seconds all day long has become my new life, and I couldn’t be happier. Achieving the #1 position has been my single greatest achievement in my lifetime. Whereas the graphics are nothing to write home about, the sound track is practically orgasmic. This game is my life. Please, buy it.

Alien Cat 6

Alien Cat 6

Alien Cat 6 is yet another 2D retro pixel game in a long series of Alien Cat 2D retro pixel games. This one eschews traditional platforming for a more “lemmings” like experience, as the cat walks on an unstoppable path that you set by clicking various arrow signposts. Keep the cat alive by flicking switches and other controls, collect the coins, then guide the cat to the bubble of level-ending.

The game is just an asset flip of a template for this kind of game (also used by Your Bunny Wrote) and an asset store retro pixel tileset.

Bridge to Another World: Secrets of the Nutcracker Collector’s Edition

A good holiday season HOPA game. It’s not especially long, but had some advantages over other “Christmas” games I’ve played:

  • the story is well-imagined and draws from the original without repeating it

  • there is variety both in the puzzles and the HO scenes

  • the music is relaxing and classical (and changes as appropriate), but isn’t “Christmas music”

  • the secondary characters are relevant and well-designed, even if they don’t have a lot of depth

  • the voice acting is… well, it varies in quality, but generally works with the characters

This is an enjoyable HOG game, if you like those types of games. The minigames aren’t too terribly difficult (compared to others that I’ve seen in some games). I didn’t need any hints and didn’t use any skips. It just took some time to figure things out.

This game has a guide, including a section that shows where the collectibles are.

It has a map you can click on to travel and that shows where you’ve got activities you can do.

It has multiple difficulty settings

I also has 2 types of collectibles (Glass globes and morphing objects)

Duck Life: Retro Pack

Duck Life: Retro Pack

while its great to relive these games it becomes really annoying to play through the minigames so many times, i feel like not only this interation but the others(up to space) would benifit from some sort of “cheat” page after you beat the game where you could do things like mess with the ducks levels and stats

I think this game is a good collection of the OG trilogy of Duck Life (DuckLife). This game allows people to play the classic three games of the series In true HD. I recently replayed the first three Duck Life flash games (No, not the Unity remakes) for comparison.

Some notable changes I found were that first off, the training minigames (excluding climbing) are entirely mouse-controlled. This is most likely due to this game being made originally for mobile devices. Flying training seems to be the most affected by this. Another thing I noticed is that on the menu screen, as well as the shop and race selection screens for Origin and World Champion, hovering over things no longer provides helpful text. (Again, probably because of it being on mobile) Also, for some reason, the flying animations in Evolution for the birdy duck, beefy duck, athlete duck, merduck, and supreme duck have the same wing flap as the other ducks. (Spoiler) The Cheats and Level Editor in World Champion are notably missing. (End of Spoiler)

Everdream Valley

Everdream Valley

Finally holidays! This summer, for the first time ever, you will spend it alone at your grandparent’s farm. Two months without mom and dad. Only you and your dog! Two months during which you have to take care of the grandparent’s farm growing plants and milking animals, well at least some of them.

You will plant, water, gather crops, and fight (sometimes for life) against pests.

You’ll need to clear nettles, build pens, and keep the animals on the farm happy.

You can sell your crops and buy or upgrade equipment with the money you earn.

However, you will not be able to do everything right away, to build a pen you need to get wood and tools first. Fish are much more cooperative when you can offer them fatter worms. Oh, and remember to talk to your grandparents often and watch for guests. You never know where the next farming mission is coming from.

From the very beginning, your dog can support you in farming tasks, for example you can use him to herd a scattered flock of sheep. But this dog, in addition to a solid bodyweight, has also a lot of character. It is up to you and your training skills whether your companion will help you or get in your way.

There is also a cat. At first, he will not be happy with the new company. It’s your job to convince him that you are a worthy ally. If you succeed, you can use him to discover new missions, hidden places, pest control, and many other tasks on the farm.

The farm is located in the Everdream Valley. You will find there a few biomes with different flora, fauna, and missions. Fields, meadows, forests, a lake, and a river are waiting for you to discover new secrets and tasks, from gathering and sometimes growing fruits and mushrooms to catching fish, collecting insects, and even building a treehouse.

After a day of running through the meadows, fighting with nettles, and sheep riding, it would be good to rest from attractions in a comfy bed. Nothing of that. While sleep will eventually come to you, it will by no means be calm.

Everdream Valley is not your ordinary valley and its residents have their own lives, plans, and secrets.

In your dreams, with the help of a magic hat, you will be able to play the role of various animals. Remember that what you do during at day and night has an impact on the farm. If you don’t fend off the wolves as a dog, you may not have anyone to build pens for when you wake up. The goals of two ducks, who seemingly do not interfere with the life of the farm, may turn out to be completely contrary to the plans of the inhabitants of the henhouse. A cat that is at most a bit cranky during the day at night may aspire to be a war criminal, and war, war never changes.

In all this confusion, there is somewhere an answer to the question of what is actually going on on this beutiful but bizarre farm. You have two months of holidays to find out the answer. One thing is for sure. This will be the most peculiar summer ever.

Florida Simulator 1986

Florida Simulator 1986

Its got gators, shotguns, drugs, and is the most accurate portrayal of a 1980s Florida Man to have ever been captured by videogame experts. Best two bucks I ever spent, although there are still a few bugs that pop up now and again– but what did you really want out of this? Absolute clarity, beauty, and neutrality?

Think again, boys and girls.

If you can’t handle the shotguns, the grenades, the hardcore story-telling, and the stealth of a beer-bellied, swamp-bred man on his way to victory, then this is not the game for you.

I started the game out thinking how cool it was that FINALLY a developer used custom assets he actually imported into the GameGuru software. I give him a ton of praise for the effort that he put into this, but this game is a shining example of why you don’t use GameGuru to make a serious game with. GameGuru is absolute trash. Yes, I get that it’s a tool just like any game engine, but GameGuru is like trying to use a cheap plastic toy wrench to work on your car engine. It’s NOT going to work for any real game.
