Monster Showdown
So played today for first time after a few updates. First this is NOT the game I purchased, AT ALL. I know it’s early access and I expect some changes in gameplay etc, but this is a completely different game, even a different genre. It went from a dungeon crawler to a serious sam/ COD clone, with no tutorial, no controller explanations and horrible interface. It took me forever to figure out how to reload, I still don’t know how to swap weapons. If you’re going to completely scrap a game and start over (name and all) then just abandon the project and make the new game on it’s own don’t fob it off on early access purchasers.

OVERWORLD/HUB
I really like the idea of being in Heaven/Sky and it is a great upgrade compared to the house. Of course, the best thing is that there is a dog called Brody and you can pet him!!! I wish you can throw a stick or play ball with him in a future update! (JK)
The only thing I don’t like is the placement of the training dummy and the weapons shop. Now you will have the go over the whole map if you want to change/test weapons. But overall I am quite happy with the Hub.

Bendy and the Ink Machine
I don’t usually revisit my previous reviews; after all, I rarely review episodic titles. With Bendy I am now making an exception as my initial (positive) feedback 2 years ago was made only after the release of chapter 3. The currently available version includes all 5 chapters (hence the name complete edition) and this is the only available edition one can purchase.
Back then I praised the game for its graphics (yellow tone with heavy use of ink) and its story that revolves around a retired employee who gets an invitation from his former employer. Visiting the office building he doesn’t meet anybody, at first, but later on all hell breaks loose and various ink monsters are after him including the titular character.

Disclaimer: Actual time to beat the game was 4 hours 20 minutes and 3 seconds (yes, seriously, lol). I was busy with other things while playing so I kept pausing and coming back.
I enjoyed Bendy and the Ink Machine very much. I went in preparing for a walking sim horror, but what I got was what felt like Bioshock infused with bits of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and an alternate reality where Walt Disney’s success took a much darker turn. It was very unique and I would strongly recommend it, especially to those who are into Disney creepy pastas - this game truly feels like a good Disney creepy pasta brought to life, and I love that about it.

Chibi Horror: The School
I really enjoyed this game as something different. You roam the halls of the haunted school, hoping not to run into the one active chaser as you collect eight books. Books appear in random locations each time, and you never know where the chaser is.
There are some jump scares, though they didn’t always appear in the same place or happen each time. Overall it’s pretty fun and you have infinite run and battery life. The only problem I had is that the chaser can spawn right in front of you even if you just left her a floor away, so there is an element of luck as well.

It’s like, Minecraft slender man but with your pixelated wives. You never know what they are going to do. They will stalk you and try to get your attention. If you are really lucky, you will never see any of them due to the way they randomly roams around. Pretty good game. Gave me a few good jumpscares.

Hustomten
This is a fun sorta arcade-y survival horror.
You’re plopped down into a house where you need to collect snacks within a time limit while avoiding a hungry elf. This is basically the entirety of the game.
Is it worth $1.99? Sure! I think it’s a quick, fun game where you don’t have to learn any super complicated mechanics. If you’re looking for something festive to kill some time. This may do the trick!

Similar to Dead by Daylight but with simpler mechanics and cartoonier graphics.
Movement is dynamic, so door-blockers, bunny-hoppers and parkour-ers can rejoice.
Gameplay is five kids vs a Secret Neighbor.

For the kids is to find keys hidden throughout the house to unlock and exit with the win through the basement. Keycards may be required to access all parts of the neighbor’s house during your search for keys. You should probably search all drawers, cabinets, etc that you can ;)

I played Secret Neighbor in the beta state, I had 50 hours in the game. Now the full game finally come out and I bought it immediately… and I don’t know what to say right now.
First things first, game is about (maximum) 6 kids, who enters the Neighbors house from Hello Neighbor. The objective is to open the basement, however one of the kids the neighbor, and he has to catch all of the kids, or let the time run out.

As far as the story and visuals go, I enjoyed this experimental game, but the platforming was a bit clunky. For the most part, it’s a puzzle-platformer with a psychological twist. The narrative is told from the perspective of a girl that is having relationship problems with her boyfriend. After each platforming section, you get to play a stealth mini-game where you are trying to isolate your boyfriend from the crowd by creating distractions. I suspect that game has 2 endings depending on your actions, I am pretty sure I got the bad one. Even though I kinda knew where the story was going, it still got me, and I am considering replaying it just to see if I can get a better outcome. It takes around 2-3 hours to finish if you don’t skip any puzzles, although you do have that option if you keep getting stuck. Aside from that, the game has nice achievement support, assuming that you want to replay the game with no hits and so on. Overall, the game is very creative, but that creativity occasionally comes at the cost of intuitive gameplay.

Haunted Jail: Alcatas
I don’t know if I’d say this is worth $1… but I got some entertainment and easy achievements to 100% so I’m happy. I recommend this on 50% off sale.

This is basically a walking 2D simulator with creepy monsters, you can’t defend yourself other than find clues as to what is going on in the prison block. now the monsters can kill you. but you can’t kill them, all you can do is run away. If you can at least defend yourself than this game would be good.
Its not a bad game, and I like the music in the background. but if you can’t do anything other than find clues, walk around and not able to defend yourself than its not fun to play. though it says you can hit enter for action. but it didn’t seem to work. Others might enjoy it, but I got quite bored after awhile.

Dracula: Vampires vs. Zombies
Good bow mechanics, good take on waves with addition of rescues, powerups, enemies and most importantly - just fun to play! Stay for a quick play or stay for a while, it’s all good. The pace is frantic but manageable and satisfying. I’d love more cotent but what is there has replay value. Thumbs up!

Not just another bow and arrow game! Its stupidly addictive and well made, the pace and variety is perfect. Working through the city is well worth the effort to make it to the forrest and instead of feeling like a chore like a lot of other similar games, you cant put the controllers down because you have to have one more go. The voice overs are brilliant, feels like an 80s film that can make fun of itself. Im sure there will be more levels to come, the devs seem to be pretty active and want feedback.

Funtime with Buffy
Ok, so there’s only one real reason I would not recommend this game and that is because, I think it needs a little bit of polishing up for the price it is, it isn’t much but I enjoyed the game for the most part. It just kind of devolved into more frustration.
So to start off, the premise of the game is simple and the design is simple too, Buffy is fantastically sinister. I love the look of the game. I think there is a sensitivity modification missing with the options as I had a bit of difficulty with my sensitivity of looking around.
