8089: The Next Action RPG
Been testing this since literal first alpha build so take this with a bit of “bias salt” if you want, but my honest opinion:
-
Game is great. Both in VR and non-VR modes. (I played primarily in non-VR). It’s riding on 5089 success and it does so very well imo. Phr00t’s charm is strong in this one.
-
Butter smooth controls, little bit of jank here and there, but otherwise game is great. runs smooth, framerate is stable and fairly well optimised (literally ran on GPD Win2).
-
Gameplay is pretty good. It’s fun to annihilate alien bugs with stealth kills or just shoot groups of enemies with whatever shotgun-sniper-mortar automatic weapon you make. Plenty of good combat abilities to make combat even more fun.

As of writing this review I’ve only been playing for 10 hours, but I seriously could see myself playing this for many more. Don’t let the graphics keep you from playing this game if it seems interesting to you, because once you get used to it, the potato looking bad guys reactions start to give it a certain charm. The real reason to play this game is the gameplay and the core game loop in this is pretty amazing. Primarily it is a game where you want to make your stats and gear’s numbers go higher, and to do that you have to continually venture further into difficult lands. As you progress the enemies grow stronger and you face different and interesting challenges that change up your gameplay. You can’t just rush to the higher level zones and scrape together better gear though, instead you have to activate each new area, which unlocks all the vendors and quests for that particular difficulty level. Supposedly this continues infinitely, and I have no reason to doubt it.

Ben 10: Power Trip
I can’t believe someone thought it was a good decision to have coop only accessible by talking to your npc buddy ‘Kevin’, who’s not all that easy to find on the map. Even worse, if that player hits the wrong button they wind up ejected from the game and you must search for Kevin once again to enable coop mode—even if he’s on the other side of the map! Another terrible aspect is the combat. There is absolutely no weight to your attacks which makes the fight sequences deeply unsatisfying. It’s like swinging at bags of feathers. I just don’t get how the developers could nerf the fighting to the extent that it is simply not fun when it is such an integral part the game. It makes no sense whatsoever. The missions are very repetitive, fetch quests, chases, kill a certain number of enemies or solve an easy puzzle. That is the gameplay in a nutshell. Overall, the open world does provide some decent platforming moments and neat areas to explore but I’d probably hold off for a sale as there are better games out there.

The missions are repetitive and almost the same and the characters feels like bots and doesnt feel alive not to mention how dumb the quizzes are, the world is so dead and doesnt feel fun to go around and explore, also they picked one of the weakest villains in the entire show literally, It would have been better if the main villain was Vilgax or a punch of weak villains not one
ok that was the bad things the good things is the transformation system, you feel like the master of the omnitrix and u can do a mix of every alien attack by simply transforming into each one every 2 seconds to feel the nostalgia

Disneyland Adventures
A very entertaining game for Disneyland fans. I saw this in the Steam store and showed my wife, as she is a HUGE Disney fan. She told me to get it immediately because Disney. I didn’t mind because Frontier has done great park games in the past. (RCT3 and Planet Coaster)
This game doesn’t fail to deliver on it’s promise. You can explore all the main parts of Disneyland, and they are recreated fairly accurately. The graphics and art style is good, albeit slightly cartoon-y. It’s a nice blend of feeling like you are there, but still being a cartoon representation. The rides which are included have been turned into multi-staged mini-games, which is an interesting and fun twist. Exploring everything is held together with questing and finding hidden items. The whole game plays like an open RPG; Think Skyrim for a 7 year old.
– Real player with 90.5 hrs in game
The game has a LOT of mini-games in it. It will definitely keep you busy. Some of the games might give eye sensitive players a slight case of vertigo (down the rabbit hole, for one).
Game storyline: You play a mute kid (prove me wrong) [your choice of boy or girl] who is asked by the Disney characters to help them collect items. You level up by performing these tasks and discovering hidden treasures with the help of magical items provided by particular characters. With each Disney character, you are able to high five them, dance with them, ask them for an autograph, or get a hug (note: not all characters will be okay with hugging). In order to get autographs, you need to buy the autograph books from the stores. Also, you will need to buy photo albums to be able to take pictures and selfies of certain areas (watch for the bouncing photo signs). I would advise having the camera in your possession while wandering around the park. This is because there are large blue circles that appear on the ground when you have your camera in your hand to take a photo of a popular area. The goal is basically to 1) get all of the quests done, 2) find all of the hidden treasures, 3) photograph all of the hidden Mickeys, 4) complete your photo albums, pin albums, and autograph books.

Excidio The Kaiju Game
from the moment i saw this game i was interested because there aren’t many games like this so it was nice to see a fun monster game on steam the game is pretty fun and destruction is pretty satisfying but the one problem that this game suffers from is lack of content but that can be excused because this game is still in early access but if there are some things that could improve are the enemy types and the city i wish it could be bigger but hopefully future updates will help the lack of content overall this is 8.5/10
– Real player with 158.8 hrs in game
its the best kaiju game on steam! (espetioly because there aren’t many kaiju games on steam)really the destruction is close to as good as teardown there isn’t much at the moment but of course that’s to be expected and what there is the dev did really well!

Disney•Pixar Toy Story 3: The Video Game
Don’t get me wrong, this game is brilliant, having a blast with my brother playing back on old nostalgic levels and enjoying ourselves like the good old days. Sadly, this version is not as good as it was on Xbox 360, half the stuff from the original is not present in this. It really grinds my gears when the toy box mode, which was multiplayer on Xbox 360, is no longer multiplayer anymore, I’ve even spent hours on trying to figure out if I’m missing something, trying to verify the game multiple times.

I didn’t want it to be true but it is.. and I’m saying this as a BIG Toy Story fan (also a lot of childhood memories). =(
This is a very disappointing port of a “console to computer” game!
IF the game should work (which it only did once at the first time I started) you’ll see that the graphic quality from the console-version is not being carried over into the PC-version (bad to no shading and missing face animations) and I’m not sure if it’s the port/pc-version or the fact that I have the german language setting but none of the charakters make the slightest noise or say a sentence during the levels/gameplay.

Teratopia
Teratopia Is a grate game why well 1. the characters are wacky and I love them 2. the classes are cool although I think the engineers should build turrets 3. love the boss music. I rate this game 10/10 I would love to be a sequel.
– Real player with 17.1 hrs in game
Introduction
Even though the only thing I was expecting from Teratopia was mindless fun for a few hours, which this action brawler provided, I was still a bit disappointed. Why is that? The game has decent foundations for various mechanics, which piqued my interest at first. Unfortunately, it is afraid to fully commit to them. And while that does not necessarily mean that it is an inferior approach, the result is just a bit repetitive mediocre game. And that is quite a shame.

Blade & Bones
To start off, I beat the game. I played it all the way through and did most of the side missions as well as complete almost all the achievements. That being said, would I want to play the game knowing what I do now? Maybe.
I decided to rate this on a scale from one to ten, with five being “acceptable” and not adding anything or taking anything away.
STORY: 7/10
The story of the Orins is interesting. It has a lot of themes with seven, and the characters for the most part are good. After the initial meeting with them though, they did not offer basically anymore with the exception of two characters.

Blade and bones combines a wonderful world with a unique layout and non-linear progression with sword based combat…
Sadly - it doesn’t do so with any great competence.

As always, a few paragraphs of text can never convey the nuance of a video.
The game-world is unique and cool, with a well built lore and a well designed cohesion with allowances to traverse, find and look for your own way around, discern secrets and figure out tidbits.

CARGAME
Flatout 3 killer.
This game gave me stage 3 prostate cancer and my wife left me with our 8 kids (it’s not all bad news after all). I would recommend this game too all of those who want to commit suicide and experience how horrible this world is.
This game is bound to not give you any will to live anymore, that’s for sure.
