UnderParty

UnderParty

If you’ve never heard of the term ‘ryona’, it’s basically fetishized violence against women, often sexual in nature. This game is full of BDSM , torture and gore , including amputation .

UnderParty is a relatively short 2 hour long game. Having played through it once on each difficulty, I feel that I’ve got enough experience to share thoughts on it. I write a lot so this review will be pretty lengthy, and spoil MOST of the game. This might not be a big deal though, since:

- The Story -

It basically doesn’t exist. You’re given a very simple, dialogue-less objective, go about it in a bit of an odd fashion, and seek to execute it.

- EDIT 6/1/20 The Roguelite Mode -

Last Hours Of Jack

Last Hours Of Jack

Very cool game.

The killing of the zombies is very satisfying, and you can kill them with almost anything you see.

The carnage and destruction of the office add to the chaos and fun.

It’s a very entertaining game with a low price tag and a surprinsing amount of cool mechanics.

Totally worth the money

I have to say it “I need that d.i.c.k.h.e.a.d” lololololol fkn funny, this is really good for the sale price, I would highly recommend, my only gripe is the fact you cannot use AWSD for movement keys you have to use the arrow keys, sorry but that is lame on a game these days it’s just too awkward to use, but on the plus side if you have one it works great and best with an Xbox controller sweet!

Can only recommend you buy if you have the Xbox controller, I would not bother if you don’t.

So many unsuspected additions to the launch on Steam and I love it, amazing launch

This game still blows me away, I missed it a lot. Played it years ago as a kid on my old PC with the original cd that I still have buried around somewhere. Even got a digital copy on my Xbox 360

I’ve got a lot of love for this game, the soundtrack, just everything

The game plays well and looks just as good if not a little better than it did, supports my resolution just fine as well

Prepare yourself Punchbowl

Stubbs the Zombie was one of those games that I always wanted to play but never had the opportunity to. When it was on original consoles I didn’t have them. When it launched on steam it wasn’t on my radar due to overall negative reception. For a while there you couldn’t play this one unless you either emulated it, or shelled out hundreds for a copy. With the re-release I finally got a chance to play this game after fifteen years. The game is not without flaws and I’ll get into those below, but there is still a phenomenal feeling of playing a game that felt like a missed experience in your life.

This game is fun as HELL..

I would call this one of those FPS games that’s made mostly to have a ton of fun (especially with friends but it’s still fun in general) rather then play competitively, which is always my cup of tea.

This is only early access currently, but this game has a lot of potential. The gunplay is actually very balanced and it feels great, you have powerups that can of course give you an advantage if used correctly/carefully, 4 different types of grenades and each of em works very unique, a decent amount of weapons which again- works very good, silly customization is a plus, the game modes are fun and some are unique, and the maps are pretty decent.

Pretty fun. I can’t tell if my pc can’t run this game or it’s not optimized well.

Edit: Never mind. Runs fine. Really fun!

Edit: Seems to lag on the biggest map, but that is to be expected.

Edit: Genius developer, has bots! Most games it takes like a month after release for that. Also on launch it won’t most likely be popular so it would be borring without bots.

Edit: I like the mute button for when I am JAMMIN' OUT but I don’t want to lower all the settings and then forget what they are on so then my game is to loud or to quiet. Such a simple thing but it serves such a good purpose for when you want to listen to music.

Moriarty: Endgame VR

Moriarty: Endgame VR

This is rad. Moriarty Endgame is a bold step towards the future of the graphic novel/comic book. I had to play through twice since the first play I was so focused on the creative shader use and the blending of 2D comic sprites in a 3D immersive plane that the story went right over my head. The creators throw us right into the world of Moriarty with very little hand holding – which is nice. The writing and art style are consistent with a high fidelity voice over and sound effects leading the pace. I was briefly removed for one moment in a scene where we learn how Moriarty gained his super power. It felt forced and unnecessary in comparison to the subtilty in which other major plot points were revealed. That being said, the dark matter super power story will make a great episode on its own. It also moved a little fast for my taste. One thing that is wholy unique to comics as apposed to digital media is the ability to ‘travel at your own pace.’ To handle this the developers implemented a simple forward and reverse feature that allows you to easily restart a scene or skip to the next (I would guess each scene is the equivelent to 1-5 panels in a normal book). Still, I think there could be a more creative way to let the reader move at their own pace. These are nit picking observations, and at the end of the day Moriarty provides a concise and cohesive product, which is twice as impressive when you consider they are paving the way. I am excited to see what the team puts out as they become more comfortable exploring this new take on the media.

So I got this on the Halloween sale for .99 cents and the experience lasted 10 minutes. I can definitely recommend this experience. The only problem is that it does feel short, that’s because the experience is very engaging and things are heating up. It’s like a teaser. Just when things are getting really good, the experience ends.

I would definitely love to see where this story goes. Basically, this is a VR comic book where you have a screen shot of the action for the comic. But all the while you’re in the background of the place where the action is taking place (which is in black and white). This contrasts really well with the stark colors inside the “pages.” There are few animation even within the pages of the comic book.

Cyberfrags ‘69

Cyberfrags ‘69

It’s time to get your blood up with some lightning-speed FPS action! Double-jump, wall-run, slide, and shoot your way to victory in PvP, Co-op, and single-player. In CF69, the fastest way to die is to stop moving. So don’t.

Single-player:

The Cyber-Nazis have come, and Cyber-Frank is pissed. Grab your hyperspace arsenal and get to fragging ranks of fascist assholes.

Multiplayer:

Play classic game modes like Free-For-All, Capture-the-Flag, and Team-Deathmatch, or test your platforming skills in Death-Relay. Small 6-player maps keep things ultra-fast, so you’d best start practicing, You’re gonna need it.

Hobo Cat Adventures

Hobo Cat Adventures

A fun and silly 3D platformer with a character and story aesthetic like a love letter to Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Full of silliness, over the top humor, potty mouths, flying body parts, and is a blast! Ride a chicken to get around. Zoom around on an over-caffeinated spree. Roll around with crazy physics as a Snowball. Blast a regiment of rat warriors to smithereens with bombs. Hack em to bits with a chainsaw and collect their heads as trophies. Twang your banjo. Help a very drunk duck deny the reality of his living conditions. Drink Hobo Brew until you’re pissing on plants to rejuvinate the local flora and fauna. Full of little nods and references to it’s inspirations. An overall a silly good time!

So, first of all, I have to say this game was my first Steam purchase and I don’t regret it.

The funny characters, the varied places as well as the many possibilities that the items offer always put a smile on my face.

Some of the collectibles are well hidden but not unfair. The quests that you get in the game are all very varied and do not repeat themselves.

As a German, I don’t understand the Eastereggs that are based on the Swiss streaming scene, but so it piqued my interest to take a look. It was really interesting to deal with it a little more, because I never noticed anything about it. Which of course is not surprising.

OTTTD

OTTTD

From my Hooked Gamers review

Tower Defence games are fairly popular. Games like Plants vs. Zombies have bought Tower Defence games into the mainstream. They are normally simple to play, easy to understand and can be played in short bursts. I do like tower defence games, but mostly as a mobile gaming fix. They are perfect games to play during my daily commutes. When the PC version of OTTTD (also known as Over the Top Tower Defence) turned up at our office, I was somewhat intrigued as to what made it ‘over the top’.

Disney Universe

Disney Universe

This is a great game for little kids. Local Multiplayer! Unlimited lives, each level is really fun and lots of cool stuff to discover. Multiply player is great and some things require co-operation. One thing to note is that players can hit each other and steal gold, which can be frustrating if taken advantage of, but otherwise is really funny (pick up the player and throw him!). I have two remotes and play with my 3 and 4 year old. It seems like you can play up to 4 people. The game crashes (took down Windows too) if you disconnect or reconnect a remote with the game running, but has been stable other than that. The menus are a little hard for kids until they learn the pictures and then they’re off to the races. Tons of fun. If you’re looking for a kids game this is a good one.

Ok, So I of all the new Disney games that were recently released on Steam, I have to say that Disney Universe and Epic Mickey 2 are my favorite so far with Disney Universe on top.

You start off picking from a very generous choice of costumes for your character, from Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Tron, A Bug’s Life, the Princess from Aladdin, Angelica from Pirates of the Caribbean and a bunch more. And you can find a ton more costumes throughout the game to add to your costume menu and use.

This game feels almost like your playing a LEGO video game but the amount of fun you will have here is intense.

Gunnheim

Gunnheim

Gunnheim is an excellent top-down twin stick shooter. I love these type of games and I haven’t played a good one until Gunnheim came along, I highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys games like this.

The gameplay is what you expect from a twin stick shooter, but the things that separate this game from other similar ones are what make it unique. First off is the graphics, just as the dev’s listed, it is not pixelated and that to me is very refreshing. Yes pixels aren’t bad, but can get tiring, with Gunnheim however the graphics are very charming, there is a lot of warmth when you play through the various levels. The other thing is the setting of the game, I don’t know why, but the idea of vikings using guns is hilarious and refreshing. You would never think of a viking wielding a gun, but somehow the dev’s made it work.

This is a very fun co-operative game! Dunno why so much hate in reviews.

Best played in 2-player online co-op on keyboard and mouse.

  • FUN!!! You laugh when your friends die from falling from ledges or game dangers.

  • Pretty graphics. Awesome lighting effects when shooting!

  • Satisfying weapons! Laser rifle 3 Minigun 3 3 3

  • Satisfying enemies. Gibs, gore, blood(can be turned off)

  • Levels(maps) are all different in both gameplay and look. Difficulty scales with your progression.

  • The game can be completed in one go from start to finish
