Overall I think the game is good I’m not sure it’s long enough or has enough to do to be worth 5.99, but it’s a cute game that kids could enjoy it’s pretty simple.

EDIT: The creator was super responsive and fixed every complaint I had about the game it’s short, but for the price of $5.99 it felt worth it.

An absolutely adorable Halloween romp through a quirky neighborhood full of people that dump gallons of candy into the bucket of a dog they think is a human. Well worth the price of admission! The developers have ironed out some minor issues too.

Be wary of Frankenstein. He’s a little Psy-cho.

Catlandia: Crisis at Fort Pawprint

Had a lot of fun playing this! The characters and their unique communication styles really amp up the humor in this game. The conversations had me laughing pretty hard, and all of the outfits you can acquire are hilarious and entertaining. For the price, it’s worth the 4-5 hour journey, especially if you want something that’s fun, wacky, and not overly complicated or difficult. Recommended for something fun to play after work over the course of 1-3 days.

I love cats. I don’t like dogs as much. Therefore, this game is perfect for a crazy cat lady like me.

Jokes aside, Catlandia is a cute, silly, comical lil game that I’ve really enjoyed playing so far. The combat system is surprisingly good and well thought out, I’ve been getting South Park: Stick of Truth and Pokemon vibes honestly, the story and characters are both amusing and likeable, and it’s well worth the price. The artstyle, music and sound effects are all adorable, too. Would definitely recommend!

Lost and Hound

Lost and Hound

Epic Games MegaGrant recipient and lauded for its innovation in gameplay and blind accessibility, Lost and Hound is a game like no other that follows the extraordinary Corgi, Biscuit. In Lost and Hound, your empowered canine senses make you a superhero. Heightened hearing and sense of smell will guide your paws as you work towards your goals, saving lives and averting tragedies.

As Biscuit your hearing will allow you to access information that’s inaccessible to humans. You will be able to hear through walls and use the information your audio senses gather to help track people and match up items such as those left at a crime scene with their owners.

Using your superior sense of smell you’ll be able to scent track your way to becoming a dog mercenary. Scent in Lost and Hound is represented by a low, pleasant humming sound. Similar to making your way through a maze where the way out would be invisible under normal circumstances, subtle sound or scent cues will guide you to your query.

As Biscuit you’ll travel around the world taking on many of the roles of real-world working dogs. From working in a hospital to assist with seizure detection and detecting cancer to herding sheep in the rough, Australian outback. Your work as a K9 tracker will take you to Japan, the Swiss Alps, the American wilderness, and many other locales. In between each mission, you’ll have the option to complete mini levels to earn extra money and travel to more exotic locations.

Features:

  • Travel around the world working as the strong-willed Corgi Biscuit.

  • Solve crimes, track down missing people, and assist those in need.

  • Use your superior hearing to listen for accelerated heartbeats, hear through walls, and more to piece together clues.

  • Follow subtle scent clues with your heightened sense of smell represented by sound queues to track leads.

  • Take on the roles of real-world working dogs; assist with seizure detection, be an emotional support for zoo animals, and more.

  • Complete mini levels to earn extra money to fund your K9 travels.

  • Meet new animal friends throughout your travels.

  • Fully blind-accessible.

Lucky and a life worth living - a jigsaw puzzle tale

This is a beaultiful game, the background music is relaxing and fits really well with this game, the illustration is well made and beaultiful, I can relate to this game because I have a dog, but he’s not a dog, he’s our son, the illustration in this game reminded me my own dog, he’s cute and loves to play with me and my wife, just like lucky.

I can’t recommend this game enough, it’s a nice and relaxing jigsaw puzzle.

I bought this game with the intention of playing when i first start my streams, and i’m so glad i did. Not only is it super relaxing, but chat loved these too (unless they were yelling at me because i was blind and couldn’t find a missing piece) music is fantastic and the story it tells for all puzzles is cute.

Honestly my only complaint is, i wish there were more puzzles! Fantastic little soothing game, def recommend!

Rescue Rover Collection

Rescue Rover Collection

**Dogs: Man’s best friend.

Evil Robots: Dog’s worst enemy.**

Experience the original Rescue Rover 1 & 2, originally created for Softdisk by legendary developers John Carmack and John Romero, together in one package!

There’s something about your dog Rover that evil robots absolutely LOVE. It seems like every time you look away, those evil robots come around to steal Rover away to their underground hideout. You’ve lost count of how many times you’ve had to go down there, redirect lasers with giant mirrors, rearrange crates, create bridges, and unlock doors to find your beloved dog. Maybe one day those evil robots will cease their dognapping ways. Maybe. Probably not.

Enjoy this pair of whimsical and challenging grid-based action puzzle games where you, the loyal owner of a special dog named Rover, must repeatedly venture into the evil robots’ lair to rescue your stolen pup by foiling traps and mazes designed to keep Rover locked up. Lucky for you, the robots can be outsmarted. Unlucky for you, they’re persistent!

  • Rescue your dog Rover from evil robots across two full games with a combined total of 60 levels.

  • Solve fiendishly complex environmental puzzles by redirecting laser beams, moving crates, bridging moats, avoiding security robots, and more to retrieve your dear pup and make it safely back to the exit.

  • View hilarious animated cutscenes between stages and whenever you fail a puzzle.

Smasher and the Will o' the Thiccs

If you’re into the furry community that might be a good game for you. If you also happen to be into inflation/weight gain, golfing, plot, 400+ character skins including many favorites of the fandom, and also maybe that one scene from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, then is is DEFINITELY the game for you.

Without giving spoilers, the game is worth having a price tagged on it now, as it’s been a free Itch.io game for about 1-2 years and was started all because of a weight-gain themed Game Jam; which this game won BTW!

Real player with 57.3 hrs in game

I’ll probably edit this review later to be more in depth with it.

Also my playtime on the current itch.io version (1.0.7a) is 9 hours and 47 minutes with all the levels 100%ed with the highest score rating.

Even though I was given a free key, I am going to gift these to several friends to help support Creature on making a wonderful game that makes me smile. With the dialogue, settings, and gameplay working well together. I’m already excited for possible dlc in the future

Disobedient Sheep

Disobedient Sheep

This game is completely mad and great fun in local multiplayer, especially with my young kids - it’s simple enough for them to enjoy and doesn’t really matter if you play it well or not. It becomes complete mayhem with several dangerous items appearing or about to appear as you try to guide or bark the sheep away from danger! The different play modes are fun, the visuals are bright and appealing, the music suitably frenetic and some cheesy voice acting is a nice addition.

Since the last update controller support has greatly improved, and having 3 or 4 players madly scrambling around trying to keep the sheep safe is a blast. I thoroughly recommend Disobedient Sheep to anyone who has a few people in the house who want to play a game together, especially if some of them are young children.

Real player with 14.7 hrs in game

Disobedient Sheep is a couch-multiplayer party game with a heavy survival emphasis.

That it, the survival of some super-cute balls of wool that cannot, without your help, avoid the many genuine and lifelike hazards that come with being a sheep in today’s modern times. Ominously slow rolling boulders, falling anvils and anchors, bombs and of course the shepherd staple dynamite all await your precarious flock.

You play as a sheepdog, of which there are several cuddly variants, darting around the map for a time period dying to bark and generally hustle your sheep out of the way of these deadly obstacles. Your sheep act realistically, and group together in small flocks, but occasionally freak out at their impending existential nightmare and scurry off, making this challenge much harder than it sounds. As time goes on more and more dangers are thrown your way, making the final few seconds quite chaotic.

Hollow Mind: The Lost Puppy

Hollow Mind: The Lost Puppy

While this game doesn’t do anything especially bad, it simply doesn’t offer any reason to play it. It looks pretty, but the gameplay is too simplistic to offer any intrinsic entertainment, and there’s no narrative or other such reward to make it worth sitting through. Add in the bugs and general lack of polish and you get a game that simply isn’t worth the time in its current state.

The core of an interesting game is certainly here, but it’s barebones enough that it feels more like a project the developer used to play around with ideas than an actual game. The biggest issue in my opinion is a lack of reward or positive feedback for the player. For example, the stated goal given at the beginning of the game is to collect the “three” stuffed animals in every level. However, not only are there more than three of them in many levels, but there’s no actual incentive to collect most of them. A few of them have achievements tied to them, but it’s fully possible to gather all the achievements without collecting them, leaving most of them utterly pointless.

Dogs Organized Neatly

Dogs Organized Neatly

Dogs Organized Neatly is another lovely drawn casual puzzle game from DU&I.

Definite Recommend to anyone that enjoys puzzle games and also cute graphics. Just like the first it gave enough challenge to keep me interested and satisfied without feeling trolled by an unobtainable level. But it is fully guided if you don’t want to play the game and just get the super cute dog achievements for your profile showcases.

Gameplay:

You are filling a board with various sized and shaped dogs which are unlocked from progression which increases the difficulty as you progress through the levels. It reminded me of Tetris but without the pesky time pressure since you can see all your dogs (shapes) at the start and move/rotate them until you get them all organized neatly in the grid.

  • available in many languages
