Azurebreak Heroes

Azurebreak Heroes

Honestly this game is amazing. It has it’s few flaws, sometimes being easy, sometimes weird hit boxes, but over all it is a charming little dungeon game. You make your way though it with mutliple endings, plenty of powerups and fun characters.

If you wanna see a runthrough of the first ending take a look at this video: https://youtu.be/8M6o7TsZt4A

9/10, love it, has its few little flaws, dev said they might add in a hard mode which would be amazing can’t wait to see what else they add in

Really nice little roguelite game with great visuals and music.

Gameplay revolvs around the six different, five of which need to be unlocked, characters each with different active and passive skills. In the typical roguelike/roguelite fashion you are put into a randomly generated version of the gameworld and slowly unlock more and more upgrades which you can use to make all kinds of different item- and character synergies.

Exorcised

One of the best TD games I played for sure!

It’s easy going, it has elements I’ve never seen in any other TD game (like the genius alliances), gives the game a whole new meaning and fun, I also love the upgrades in and out of the levels, the whole theme is fun, the characters (towers) and their looks are awesome, I simply love it.

Hope you guys are planning to keep updating the game with more towers, powers ups and such!

Exorcised is a newly released Tower Defense game.

The game is set in a Japanese fantasy world, with many versions of Japanese females clothed in cultural Japanese style as the towers, and with demons as the enemies, no story or known plot in the game, so lets move on.

The game is pretty straight forward, like many other Tower Defense games, the enemy move on a fixed path from one side to the other and you, as the player, need to place those sexy female towers to eliminate them.

There are several kinds of towers, each with somewhat different stats and characteristics which could be upgraded later on, and some different enemy types and bosses.

Introduction

As I absolutely adore the DOOM series and similar titles, Demon Blast naturally caught my eye on Steam’s Store Page immediately. Its colourful, cartoonish art style, along with the promise of killing hordes of demons, was enough for me to give it a try, despite it being in the Early Access. The harsh reality is that this game is unfinished and clunky to play, as you would expect from the Early Access. However, the promised updates are still not released, which is why I finally decided to write a review, as the game’s current content does not offer enough to justify its price for me.

The idea of a roguelike with a touch of doom is reaaaally great, in fact was pretty fun until…

There are 2 bugs are killling me (literally)

1st one the enemy range atack pass the doors and hits you

2nd one the have a issue with the mouse like if you change of dpi for talking with npcs of hitting stuff with your hands.

I know it’s an early acess and you expect bugs but this make the game nearly unplayable and really hard

Darkestville Castle

Darkestville Castle

This game was so much fun and I’ve found a new universe and lore that I enjoy!

It is a point and click game with great humor, abiet extremely dark humor. Some small memes and easter eggs too scattered throughout. It’s not exactly a kids game, due to some language and subject matter, but it’s not too extreme either. It heavily reminds me of the old Monkey Island point and click games, which is a good thing as those are classics.

I got it on sale for about $10, I don’t think I’d pay the full price for the game, as it’s lacking in some parts but for my $10 I was extremely statisfied with what I had. I got about 8 hours out of the game, but as with most point and click games I get stuck/just wanna experince the story so I started to use a guide. Some of the items to me feel like you wouldn’t even think about trying them, so I guess if you had time on your hands and randomly trying to click on everything you’d get longer than 8 hours out of the game, but still 8 hours is pretty long for a point and click game. Or maybe if you’re smarter than me you’ll get it done faster. There’s also alternate dioulague options which extend gameplay if you want to go back and try all of the options and not just click on the obvious ones relevant to the plot.

TL;DR

Darkestville Castle is a solid, albeit short and relatively easy, 2D point-and-click adventure game in the style of the 90’s classics like Day of the Tentacle and Curse of Monkey Island. Smooth gameplay and lots of campy humor provide a nice “in-between” snack for fans of the genre, although at full price, roughly 7-8 hours of gameplay and little replay value might be too little value-for-money for some.

Summary

The game puts you in the shoes of Cid, the demon of Darkestville, on a quest to defeat his arch nemesis, Dan Teapot. The game is divided into a prelude, three chapters (four if you count the final scene of the game) and two interludes, which will take you from Darkestville Castle to the town of Darkestville, and eventually to Hell. Along the way, you’ll encounter between roughly 30 to 40 NPC’s, somehow involved in the various puzzles the game offers, and pretty much all of them with extensive (and often funny) dialogues.

The Haunted Tunnel is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game templates and re-releasing it on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio templates he keeps re-releasing are just basic retro pixel (couldn’t he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down/platformer stealth/action games. Here’s some other results of his copy+paste school of “game development”:

  • Haunted Jail: Alcatas

  • Ghost in the Barn House

Conjurer Andy’s Repeatable Dungeon

Conjurer Andy’s Repeatable Dungeon

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

This game is 100% like a Free to Play Mobile game. It certainly was made for that audience and still is Pay to Play. Screenshots do not SHOW how the game really is and they do not mention anything of that on the store page. This is certainly NOT a deckbuilder. You can chose 3(!) cards for a run. 3! The “fights” consist of simply clicking on a wheel of fortune. Either all your characters hit the enemie or they don’t. That’s as much strategy as their is involved. You just get rewards if you don’t die and leave the dungeon. Even then all your used cards expire. What does this mean? There is a timer, like in most free to play games which tells you how long you have to wait til you can use these cards again. For gold you can skip that. If you die in a dungeon, you don’t get gold.

Covenanted

Covenanted is a hand-drawn rogue-like with RPG elements and an original turn-based combat system

A contract with the devil is always a bad idea [/]

The heroine of Covenanted, bound by a contract with the Devil, is on a journey through the magical world. Pursued by the Inquisition and blackmailed by the Devil, she has to balance between light and darkness in order to gain the support of powerful allies and break the endless cycle of rebirth

Combat Alchemy [/]

The journey is full of dangers! As the game progresses, the witch collects recipes for unique potions and gathers ingredients to make her magic even more powerful. Each recipe has its own unique effect

Procedural generation [/]

The global map of Covenanted is generated for each session. The variety of locations, the number of opponents and the available rewards are selected in such a way that each race is different from the previous one

Visual style [/]

We pride ourselves on the visual style of the game. All the main elements were drawn with ink on paper and digitized. The world of Covenanted is growing, our artists are working on new characters and locations

Random events and story quests [/]

We want players to feel the impact of the decisions made in story quests throughout the game. Despite one true ending, the fate of the Covenanted side heroes remains in the hands of the player

Fairy Middle Ages [/]

When creating the world, we were inspired by the worlds of the fantasy genre, world folklore, myths and legends. In Covenanted, elves and werewolves live in the same world with the characters of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales and ancient myths

Reality’s Reverse Side

Reality’s Reverse Side

This game is really well written… In Russian. You can still understand it in English though too… So if you don’t speak Russian, you still have a chance.

I liked this mystery and I liked the bestiary and other things. It would be cool to learn more about the beasts and such, but I am familiar with some of them from Russian stories. I mostly meant it for those people who aren’t as familiar…

The favorite part of it all was “Zhonki”. He is hot. Especially in that picture with the “mythical beasts going to the moon with the broken window”.
