Duru – About Mole Rats and Depression
Tuli leads a simple life in the mole rat colony: she collects food, meets with her friends and paints the best pictures in the colony. All the while nobody but her sees the dark creature that makes each of those activities a near unbeatable task.
Duru is a 2D puzzle adventure about mole rats and depression. It shows how we all can help people affected by this illness.
Set in a West-African inspired mole rat colony you play Tuli, one of the gatherers of the colony. One day everything becomes harder as Bel, an AI companion and the personification of Tuli’s growing depression, joins the party.
While running, jumping and painting your way through the tunnels surrounding the colony you have to find a way to deal with Bel and its manipulative behaviour. Your constant companion moves objects you painted around, eats them and holds you back in which ever way possible. Learn to use Bels behaviour in a way that lets you progress.
In the mole rat colony that Tuli calls her home her friends notice that she’s acting strange. She’s less talkative, is always late and seems not interested at all in hanging out with them. Some of them get tired of her tardiness…
You can always see how Bel twists Tuli’s thoughts, how it makes her not feel worth being friends with. Through exploring the mole rat colony and interaction with the other characters you can find out which behaviours are helpful to Tuli and which just make Bel grow.
Follow the story of Tuli – a story about the struggle with insecurities, depression and friendship, told in a colorful, accessible way.
What awaits you:

If you enjoy logic puzzles you’ll enjoy this. It’s a perfect sandbox to be able to see [on a basic level] what goes into logic of computer-controlled characters in video games. There are simple logic blocks to start with, and advanced ones that can create a very ‘intelligent’ DumbBot.

Robo’s World: The Zarnok Fortress
Robo’s World: The Zarnok Fortress is yet another low quality retro pixel platformer infesting Steam. In this one, you play a robot or something, but it’s hard to tell because the controls don’t work properly. I couldn’t even use the menu to see if I could get fullscreen going. Could it be because I had a HOTAS plugged in and it assumed it was a gamepad? Irrelevant, because that kind of laziness from the developers isn’t acceptable.
If you can’t get the basics right, you don’t get a thumbs up in your reviews.

Great gameplay, challenging but rewarding. Love the retro platform style, and the sound to accompany it is fantastic. The adventure itself is open-ended, leading to all sorts of paths through the world as you progress towards the ship’s core. I would definitely recommend picking this game up and seeing for yourself. Tons of fun!

Rustica
“Give the people what they want and they will… do what they want to do.”
Your Citizens Need You
Rustica puts you in the unique role of a custodian of a Greco-Roman colony. You have land but not much else and it’s up to you to spruce up the place. You’ll need to discover and provide resources for your world and your citizens will interact with it as they see fit, they have free will after all. Watch your world grow over time and with a keen eye for planning and a bit of luck you can sit back and watch your people thrive.
Start Out Small
You’ll need to begin by laying down the foundations. Your citizens can’t build out of thin air so you’ll need to give them the basics like trees and stone and hope they know what to do with it. Each object has requirements called schemas in order to be placed in the world and some need other objects present in specific spots, and it’s up to you to discover how to unlock them.
Plan For the Future
Eventually, some of your citizens will feel the need to specialize and focus on a trade. They’ll become farmers, miners, priests and then some. This will allow them to interact with their world in new ways and this in turn will open up new objects and schemas for your growing community.
A Hero Rises
Once in a while a citizen decides to go on a hero’s quest. Foolish mortals. You can then go and give the hero what they need to finish their quest or don’t mind them because you have better things to do, like making sure that temple gets built over there by those trees.
Sit Back and Watch the Sunset
Tinker and tweak with the world you create and watch your citizens hard work pay off. Or do like Nero and watch the world burn, figuratively.
It’s your world to play with, you decide.

Five-Finger Gunslinger
As the lead programmer of this game, I can say we really put a lot of thought into making a game with constant action, no downtime. I of course recommend the game, it is a great game in times like these, hop in and play a few games with your friends who you can no longer see in person!

I know one of the people that worked on this game and it’s great seeing it come to life. It takes a lot of hard work to do something like this. Worth spending the 2 bucks just to support these guys, and play a fun game.
