Fantastic experience. Great gameplay combined with awe-inspiring voice acting and minimalistic graphics clash together in this magnum opis of a game. On the outside TAD appears to be your ordinary AAA gaming experience, but upon closer inspection the game can be compared to a regular “Clockwork Orange” or “Gone with the Wind” in terms of sheer storytelling and eye candy. TAD: That Alien Dude defines what it means to be a gamer, games like this are what keep me from abandoning the gaming community entirely. The lack of tutorials give the gamer a more cut-throght experience, similar to cup-bread or dark shoals. Minimalistic graphics allow the gamer to focus more upon the machanics then the graphics

Billion Beat
I love this game, the world is always in need of more Punch-Out-likes and this scratches every itch it has, and the music is insanely good.
Only thing that could drive people away is how gross the characters look but they grow on you after a while.
The combat is a lot more ‘groovy’ than Punch-Out, more rhythmesque, if you will. Feels more like dancing than it does straight up beating the shit out of someone.

Billion Beat is great. The visuals and music are on point. The gameplay follows the Punch-Out formula perfectly: time your punches and dodge or counter theirs. If you make a mistake, your character will take a bit to recover and that is more than enough time for your opponent to mess you up, so learn from coach Baby T and DON’T JUST MASH THE BUTTONS!
There’s also a bunch of stuff to keep things fresh like “hype moves”, items and even progression. Successfully landing a regular punch rewards you with a bit of energy and you need that energy to dish out the heavy punishment, so you quickly start to get into this flow of dodging and countering to build up your energy until you can finally let your hands fly.

Car Puzzle: Round Ways
It makes an error when a car collides with a pizza delivery coming out of a delivery point. While pizza deliveries move backward when they leave the points, the developers have not programmed how to deal it when a car collides with the back of another one. It makes the game get totally stuck, so I have to turn off and restart the game.

Round Ways is a mobile port of a free game that has nothing new to offer in the paid version. The features listed on the Play Store and Steam are exactly the same word for word. It’s a bad port too with relics of the mobile version still intact with a clunky mouse only interface for finger sliding/tapping. It is more of a quick reaction time game than it is puzzle that just doesn’t work well on the PC. The core design has the player switching cars between tracks by tapping the switches, which is much easier to do on a touch screen phone where the player can have their fingers lined up with multiple switches at once vs on the PC where the player can only click one switch at a time and requires dragging the mouse to the next switch. Each level is fairly simplistic, but the time limit and switch limits for getting 3 star ratings become too cumbersome on the PC version. As early as level 13 it’s like the dev just gave up on the level design and flat out admits the level does not have a solution and instructs the player to use an auto-abduction power-up that passes the level. After this point the entire game can just be auto-completed and it’s hard to tell which levels actually have a solution anymore. Just play the free version on a touch screen phone.

Planet Hotpot
Still very rough around the edges, I believe in the next few months there’ll be a lot of improvements in the interface and depth of the game. For now, it plays smooth and has a well-defined gameplay loop (kill aliens, get powerups, kill aliens better).
I do recommend this game, but make no mistake this IS very early access at the moment so best not to go in expecting a complete game.

Now and again you come across an indie game that is so bad, so terribly made that it goes through the arse end of “terrible” and comes out being fun to play. ‘Planet Hotpot’ is one of those games. From the terrible controls to the basic graphics and truly laughable enemies, but it is mad as a box of frogs to play but oddly is so bad it becomes fun! The enemies fly around and glitch out as if they are supposed to do so and the action is relentless. But there seems to be no point to the game other than surviving as long as you can! At least it only costs a few quid and I am not quite sure why I even want to recommend this game, but I am. Maybe I have become so immune to the crap VR games Steam pumps out that I have finally lost my mind.

UFO : Brawlers from Beyond
Nice game to play with friends!!!

At first I wasn’t sure but once I started playing this game it was hard to put down. Definitely one to play with friends. It’s hilarious, technical, and lends itself to a lot of variety so very replayable. If you like Alien, co-op or vs fighting, and you have a good sense of humor, consider picking this game up.
