New Ice York
This game is so much more than I expected it to be. At first, playing it- I was charmed by how weird it was but after playing through it, I found myself feeling connected to this universe and the characters within it. It’s intuitive- familiar, but totally different. Refreshingly fun, and an overall great release by magicdweedo, an artist I’ve really enjoyed since Mealmate™. Make sure to check out the soundtrack, too- it’s really catchy!

New Ice York has deceptively good writing. The first chapter is unfortunately slow, which is a bad problem for a game of this length to have, but that slowness does its job of lulling you into a familiarity with the characters that it uses as a platform to build off of. NIY unfurls in a way similar to Frog Fractions or magicdweedoo’s last major game, Ticket: breaking its own rules and shuffling weird mechanics around. Where the former games engage themselves in a game of zany one-upsmanship, though, New Ice York’s treatment of mechanics is much more narrative and constrained. Detective has an oblique resemblance to Deadly Premonition’s Francis York Morgan / Twin Peak’s Dale Cooper, and similar to those stories New Ice York’s descent into surrealism takes on a personal significance in the quest of the protagonist.

Bright Paw
“Bright Paw” is a relaxing, very easy puzzle adventure with an adorable cat protagonist, cute stylized graphics, and an interesting story that unfortunately doesn’t really find closure.
You play as Theo, a cat whose owner has just been murdered. While trying to find the killer, you discover an entire secret facility full of robots, lasers, and other traps. The story is narrated via whimsical voice-overs, as well as texts that describe collectibles which you keep finding. The narrator also comments on your actions, similar to the narrators of “Bastion” or “The Stanley Parable”.

An adorable little 2.5d to top-down puzzler game that has you going through different levels and has limited environmental interaction, but going from a simple home invasion to, well, you have to find out, is like an early draft for something from the X-Files or a Cat rendition of an episode of LOST.
Game-play involves choosing a limited amount of cards that specify what action you want to perform at that time to traverse obstacles and explore the ever-widening story that makes me think of the show “Lost”, where it throws out a avalanche of ideas and design, but only explains a handful. /You thought it was a simple plane crash, didn’t you?/

Methods: The Detective Competition
This game is so charming and wonderful, it’s quickly become one of my favourite games ever! If you like mystery stories and fun characters, I highly recommend you pick it up. And if anything seems interesting, don’t be afraid to try out the demo!
On to the (spoiler free) review! (I’ve never written a review before, so apologies if it reads oddly at all.)
The gist of the story is that, 100 of America’s greatest detectives and 100 of its worst criminals are pit in a battle royale against each other to win a million dollars. (And parole, if they’re a criminal.) You play through the stories of several participants as they advance through the competition, meeting new faces at every turn. The game is split into 100 chapters, and it took me personally about 7.5 hours to play through them all on my first playthrough.

This is probably one of my top ten games I have ever played, in part because I love solving locked room mysteries so much. I do realize it will not be everyone’s cup of tea, however. Here are (in my opinion) the main downsides of this game: 1. character art is a little lackluster, but you can see that for yourself on the steam page. You do get used to it though, and the character designs do have a lot of personality. 2. The pacing is a little weird. Sometimes you will go through long-ish periods of cutscenes back to back or mysteries back to back. 3. Finally, the ending does leave some loose ends, which could maybe have been intended to pave the way for a sequel (or maybe the game designers just couldn’t decide how to wrap them up, I don’t know). With those downsides out of the way, here are the things I love: 1. mysteries upon mysteries upon mysteries. Both little murder scenes you have to solve and some big over-arching mysteries within the game. 2. The characters are really fun. Both detectives and criminals all have a special method they use to do what they do, and it is very fun to see all of the varieties of detectives and murderers they came up with. You also get to play as different detectives and use their methods of solving mysteries, which is cool. You also get to briefly step into playing as a criminal as well. Again, I’ve never met a game with so many mysteries to solve, so this game was lots of fun for me. To me this game is very worth the $20 it normally costs (so I’d say to definitely get it if it sounds interesting, especially if it goes on sale).

My Mad Road is a completely new game where the main rule is powerful fun. You play as a controversial character who prefers to get around by car, but often needs to get out of it to take care of some business. Time passes in the game, so it’s divided into days, during which you carry out selected missions. The world’s full of life, so the missions are just a side goal, while the rest lives at its own pace. Unleash your imagination and join the events unfolding in the world of My Mad Road.

Some actions in the game are only available upon approaching an object or a person. The character keeps growing, so they aren’t able to do everything at the first stages of the game.

Rubber Bandits: Christmas Prologue
Fun PVP with friends. The game itself currently features three different maps to play, each having slightly different layouts. The matches are pretty quick (lasting a couple of minutes) and there is not a lot of stuff you are able to do besides fighting, BUT… When combined with friends, this game is a blast! It is fun and stupid, the more players play - the funnier it gets. And this is just a prologue, I cannot imagine how fun the full game will be

This game made me loose some laughts I haven’t lost in a while! Really fun to play with friends! Specially if you like the rival style of the game, that makes you compete harder with your friends. You can also switch teams and team up!
I can easily recommend this for all ages, it’s funny, practical and doesn’t take much to understand and to play!

Another enjoyable VN which actually links to The Bahamian Rhapsody and Colorado Cocoa Club VN’s.
I did expect more options like the Others But I feel the one you can end up with is lovely.
Though the Doctor was cute to.
I would guess this was Before Cocoa though as her sister had just gone to Jamaica.

As a fellow British Englishman who enjoys the pleasures of drinking Tea & Coffee, I’m also a Yuri fanatic and I Approve of this game.
Don’t let my hours trick you in thinking there’s LOTS of content to play, I accidentally left the game on a couple of times. At MOST you can finish the game in around 5 hours, if you wanted to read everything and see the different option outcomes and enjoy the lore.
What I did expect was more romance options and people to choose from but nope, didn’t really mind though.
