Furry Shakespeare: Love’s Lizards Lost

Furry Shakespeare: Love’s Lizards Lost

The young king of Navarre has declared a three year study of Castle Dragongate, an ancient keep of unknown origin. He wishes to uncover its secrets, which have been fabled to link back to the beginning of time.

Something like that, at least. It sounds like an awesome spring break for you and the rest of the king’s entourage. There’s no possible way that you’ll stumble on to a conflict that is in dire need of resolution. Hey! The young queen of France is here with HER entourage! That’s going to lead to some sexy hijinks, right? I can already feel the existential dread of what may be lurking within those ancient ruins fading away!

An Adventure game with Dating Sim aspects, based on one of Shakespeare’s lost works, ‘Love’s Labour’s Won’.

  • Engage in witty banter over five acts as you pick and choose which of your fellow compatriots to learn about and totally not flirt with.

  • Will your (totally not careless) actions doom or free the surrounding lands?

Flight of the Amazon Queen: 25th Anniversary Edition

This is a classic adventure released in 1995, altough you not have to expect something like an RTX remaster in graphics, the improvements are noticeables and much appreciated compared to the old pixel graphic style.

As always, like in any graphic adventure, the main focus goes to the puzzles and i can say that here we have very good ones, the level of difficulty is average, with few spikes on hard on some of the latests, but most of them are quite logic.

Personally i don’t like the hot spots revealer function, because i think the pixel hunting is a part of the difficulty of an adventure so this will help a lot, but it seems is a new tendency of many modern adventure games now.

In general:

What a nostalgia! I played this game as a kid 25 years ago. I loved it then, I love it now. Some players seem to be way too much critical. Well, this is NOT a remake. This is a simple port of the ORIGINAL game for modern OS with some new features. It runs in full-HD with updated UI and it has full voice acting. But it still looks like the old classic adventure game. Nicely done.

Pluses:

  • runs under modern OS in full-HD

  • faithful to the original look

Kitsune Kitchen

Kitsune Kitchen

Quite standard visual novel, it probably takes 1 hour to be 100% completed.

The novel itself is about a chef that has to create the perfect BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) sandwich and of course, it takes place in a kitchen.

The graphics overall are quite nice and there’s a lot of humour, although the game’s too short and yeah most of all one has to deal with the parodistic/humorous aspects of this all. There are no naked girls, couples to meet, romance or whatever else.. it’s way more down to earth.

My point of view on it - review

You know the phrase this was so bad it’s good?

That would apply here for me, although I didn’t consider it bad, just good.

It was so good that it was good!

For the little price fee this game has you can enjoy the humour of hitting on kitchenware with hilarious endings that includes decent music that you could get in dlc’s for free at the time of writing this review. Therefore I would recommend it, no matter how wrong it is, the humour and laughs are definitely worth it.

Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead

Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead

If you know me at all, you know I LOVE solitaire. I’ve been playing it ever since I was a wee lass, but golf solitaire has recently become my favorite version of the game. Imagine my delight when yet another title released featuring the enjoyable gameplay I’ve come to love. Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead had SO much promise: beautiful artwork, a fantastic theme, and interesting new power-ups and board goals I hadn’t seen done in other games — and yet against all odds it failed. As a lover of solitaire and supporter of indie game developers everywhere, it pains me greatly to have to write this review, but it is my sworn duty to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me Dios.

TLDR: Fun solitaire game, I’m glad I bought it, one oddity to note - the game is rigged in your favour, the next card on the deck being turned over has a high chance of being one you need!

The gameplay: 100 sets of 3 games each, each set has a goal like achieve a certain score, avoid diamonds for the next 5 cards etc. I’m half way through the game right now and haven’t needed to use the boosts much yet, the one most powerful of which is to unlock a second deck so that 2 cards at a time are revealed. For each set you earn 0, 100, 200 or 300 depending on your score, you also get zero to three skulls at the same levels, getting all the skulls is linked to an achievement. Even if you’re bad at the game you could still get all the skulls by grinding the early level for money for boosters to ensure a good score, hopefully it doesn’t come to this in later levels.

About the game

Discover a humouristic point and click adventure inspired by all the masterpieces which made us stick to our computers back in the day (and therefore we played outside way too infrequently). Full of loony characters, unexpected twists and challenging riddles.

Accompany Vio on her unintentional journey through various realms. Explore broken cities, pirate ships in the deepest jungle and other unreal places. Stand by her side when she makes the acquaintance of the (depressive) Death and engage with lots of explicit and ambiguous references, hommages and imitations of the big classics past (and not quite past) times.

We are a bit vintage - therefore we draw our background art the old-fashioned way with paper, pencil and ink. Colorizing is done digitally - this way we leave less colorful smudges on our desks.

Key features

  • Hand-drawn traditionally and digitally created graphics in 4K/Ultra HD

  • Classic frame by frame animation

  • 1-click interface

  • Female main character

If you like Point ‘n’ Click games and/or dinosaurs, this game is awesome!

Good:

-I love dinos and this game is awesome for dino fans for multiple reasons. Firstly, they don’t use the classics but instead most dinosaurs are species you won’t find in most popular media(some even I didn’t know yet!). Secondly, every dino species (plus other animals, plants and more) are detailed in an encyclopedia that you can choose to read. Fun for kids to read!

-The style is made to remind you of games like Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam, which I consider a plus as I played them a lot as a kid.

Ok, I am an historian (at least I should be one) and I admit I’m really not accustomed that much to computer programming or game developing, but this game - which has the usual settings window before launching it, in which you can choose to play windowed or full screen, the resolution and the graphics quality - when put in tray or in the ctrl+alt+canc window (ok sorry readers, my PC interfaces are all in Italian or in French and I don’t remember now its name ahah) it’s called “Woman House”.

Quite different from the game title on the Steam store..

Real player with 13.0 hrs in game

How can anyone like this. Ok it’s a game where you search for hidden objects, that’s cool, but why do you have a story that was written by a 9 yo girl it’s so bad. The characters face is so badly photoshoped, just use someone from real life. If I had to rate this game I would give 2/10 just because Iike searching for hidden objects. Also can someone tell the dev what hidden object looks like the game on hard mode AKA the last 5 lvl out of 15 btw, every object you click on is collected and it’s just super boring and I am going to keep it running on background only to get the stupid achievement. Litterally who would spend their time on this game legitly playing it. There is like one million of free online games so why would you spend your 1,59€ on this game. I got it for free so it doesn’t matter to me, but just why would you do this. How would I make it better you might ask: 1. Delete the story 2. Make the objects look like they aren’t photoshoped in it 3. Make more than 15 lvl in which you have 5 different rooms 4. Make it free or for 99 eurocents 5. Make a level selection 6. Add mute audio 7. Don’t add more languages if you don’t even know them just don’t translate them with google thx 8. Add some real objects not like mushrooms in kid’s room I hope your kids don’t have them there 9. Don’t loop one song it becomes annoying as hell just loop 3 or more songs NOTE: If you wanna argue with me about that this game is not bad etc. I allowed comments
