UPDATED REVIEW after more then 44 hours of game-play always with 3 or 4 players.

PERFECT FAMILY SETTING GAME, for kids and adults.

Surprisingly BEST FUN family game with more replay-ability then our others “family party games”, there is almost no “take that” feeling, since the receiver doesn’t know who, and often, you think you might of git someone, but it could be someone else.

It’s sneaky, smart and has a well polished game-play and it’s impossible to “target” someone else since your just trying to figure out where someone else is, so unlike Cake Bash and most family games, it allows you to hit anyone and no ones, not even kids are upset since no one knows (expect for the one who commits it) who did what. Only after the map is completed (1 min to 2 min average) everyone sees who punched who and then it’s right into the next map.

Played the demo and immediately bought the game afterward. It’s extremely fun to play and works like a charm with Steam Remote Play. I’m about 7 hours into the game and so far replay-ability has been great! Expert mode is a fun new way to play the levels and it’s always a blast trying to find out who your friends are. Once everyone starts to learn the mechanics and get really good, it can actually take several minutes to find out who is who.

My only downside to this game is that at the current state of the game, character selection is kind of pointless. During levels everyone is the same random character, with the one you choose being visible only during the lobby screen between levels. I think a great addition to this game would be a level where all of the people you’re playing with are on the level and you have to blend in, but have to use your memory of the other characters your friends chose to try and find them!

ABRACA - Imagic Games

ABRACA - Imagic Games

Underneath the cutesy graphics lies a game that actually takes skill to play.

Abraca really is the perfect party game. Think of it as a little bit of a mix between Super Smash Bros. and Mario Party. Then, be a little forgiving, as the creators neither had the budget of those two AAA games, nor the price tag.

Each player controls both a prince, and a princess, but not at the same time. Each princess is placed in a giant box, and each prince races for the key to open the box and free his princess. You progress through a series of challenges as far as you can on your turn, with the other three players taking control of the defenders in the level. As the prince, your goal is to pass as many stages as possible, as the defenders your goal is to send the prince to the start of the stage as many times as possible, and as a princess your goal is generally to smash the other princesses so you can blow kisses to your prince through the lock-hole of the chest.

Since i see no really usefull reviewers, I decided to give you guys one.

This is actually a really good party game, but ONLY a party game! This game is probably one of the best Local games out there. I don’t know how the heck the others managed to rate this game after playing for like 20 minutes, but think i tried it enough to give it a rating.

There are three modes: Race, Arena and Challenge mode.

The race mode is 2-4 player. This the mode that makes the game shine. You have to get through 9 stages before the others, and in every round, the chosen one has to go as far as possible within 60 seconds. While the chosen ones struggles to get through the stage, he have to escape from monsters which is controlled by 1-3 local opponents. (NO BOTS. ONLY THE OTHER LOCAL PLAYERS) On their way to comleting each stage, he/she have to escape the opponents either by avoiding them or beating them to move on. Every character gets a chance every round to be the chosen one, who has to go through the stages. If you are lucky and good then you might go through 3 stages within 60 seconds. And if you are unlucky then you might stay in the same stage until the next round. After every round the first chosen one is being chosen by a battle between friends (works like smash bros). The one who is finishing and beating the stage 9 boss the first will win the game.

Star Escape

Star Escape

Really fun, simple competitive game. I’ve played alone and with a friend and I could see this being incredibly fun with 3-4 people. It’s not easy but not unfair, you always know what you did wrong. The only complaint i would have is initially navigating the menu to start a game was a little confusing.

Koi-Koi Japan [Hanafuda playing cards]

Koi-Koi Japan [Hanafuda playing cards]

I just plain love it!

Hanafuda is a tough game to describe. When people ask me about it I usually just say “It’s a lot like Go Fish, but with a deck of Japanese flower cards”. This is only partially true, the game is a bit deeper than that, but at it’s core the game mixes chance and strategy into a really fun, really unique match game. The cards, the rules and the scoring can appear daunting at first, but once I got the hang of it (I have some experience with this game elsewhere) it is a really great and unique card game.

I can’t recommend this game at full price. If you have friends to play with, it might be worth buying in a sale.

Koi-koi is a Japanese card-matching game using Hanafuda cards. It requires the players to match same-suit pairs of cards from twelve suits of four cards to produce sets (‘yaku’).

This implementation of koi-koi is very basic. The single-player AI is predictable, and not particularly hard to win against. The single-player mode doesn’t have a lot of replayability value, as it’s just the same game over and over. The single-player DLC requires the player to make certain yaku to progress. Some of these are very rare. While the pictures that you get as a reward are nice, it’s immensely frustrating to be unable to progress until you get an ideal hand.

Sprint Vector

Sprint Vector

It’s finally here! I’ve been waiting a very long time for this game to finally release.

https://youtu.be/MNiZDoVIavA

I still remember my first match with Zeshin at PAX East 2017. Back when we had 1 map a red guy and a blue guy. I knew this game was going to be gold. Survios didn’t disappoint!

You get a very quick intro tutorial that you can’t skip but it’s over very quickly. If you don’t need it, under 40 seconds. That leads you into a pretty amazing intro sequence where you get to meet Mr. Entertainment face to face. This was an amazing touch that blew me away.

Sprint Vector is VR in perfection!

It’s a refreshing, fast paced, easy to learn but hard to master racing game that also requires physical effort.

The whole locomotion system is just incredible and I haven’t seen it in any other game before. To get moving you have to swing your arms up and down - the faster you do so the faster you will get moving (“Freedom Locomotion VR” is a free Steam VR app that showed off this kind of armswing locomotion before). But that’s only the basic movement, you can drive around curves by physically turning or by drifting (which you can do by pressing some buttons on the controller). The game also includes climbing (with comparable mechanics of the game “Climbey”) and flying. There are powerups you can pick up during the game including different types of mines, boosters and rockets.

Fat Man Fights

Overview - All Coming Soon

Fat Man Fights is an action-arcade game with a humorous and light-hearted tone that is centred around an innovative and entertaining pushing mechanic.

Compete in fast-paced, hilarious sumo wrestling games against quick-witted AI opponents for the chance to win more tasty and delicious food (like donuts! And cake! And pizza!)!

First one out of the ring loses!

Progress up the ranks of sumo wrestlers to become the ultimate sumo wrestler of the century!

In Fat Man Fights you will start off in your humble home where you are then able to select your sumo wrestling games from your TV.

In the sumo wrestling match, the core mechanic is pushing.

This is where you hold the mouse button to charge up a push:

Then when you release it, the player will push and the power of that push will correspond with how long the mouse button has been held down for.

This allows for a constant change in playstyles from offensive and defensive which keeps the gameplay always interesting and engaging.

Jumping is also a huge part of the game!

What Fat Man Fights does offer:

  • Fast-paced, fun and exciting sumo wrestling matches

  • A break from the darker and deeper games on Steam

  • An fun and unique push mechanic which is the core mechanic

  • A light-hearted and enjoyable experience

  • High replayability - easy to learn but hard to master

  • A bright and colourful art style

  • Belly flopping. Lots of it.

  • A competitive drive - leaderboards and stats

  • A well-balanced game that suits all types of players with different skill levels

  • Comedic vanity items for the player

  • A variety of maps that suit different playstyles

What Fat Man Fights doesn’t offer:

  • Multiplayer

  • Deep and meaningful gameplay

  • Incredibly well-drawn art

Hey so you’ve scrolled down this far, I’ll tell you a bit about me.

Hi I’m Anika, I made Fat Man Fights, I’m 15 years old and I live in England :)

If you have any questions or constructive criticism (which I would love to hear) please do so in the discussions of the community hub, I will always check it!

Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition

Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition

A simple mouse aiming arcade that can be completed in 3 to 4 hours on normal difficulty, but if you wanted you could replay it on new game+ that increases the challenge. Note that you can change mouse sensitivity in the settings - the default was completely unplayable for me. My experience with the game varied depending on which stage I was playing, partially because some of the early levels lacked in variety, and the soundtrack was hit-and-miss. When you get toward the second half, the game will introduce more challenges such as flipping the screen or making you shoot in both directions. During the levels, you can earn points that work as a currency in the shop. You can only equip 3 abilities at any given time, but there are a couple more to choose from that have additional upgrades that reduce cooldown. There are several unique biomes that have multiple stages with occasional boss fights. I am not sure how the local co-op works, I was unable to select the second player with what I have (although I have nobody to play with anyway).

It’s a very very good flash game. It’s fun for couple of hours and has interesting playstyle but the at the core , its a spear throw mechanic that should be a part of a bigger game . Its not bad its just not a full fledged game. Still if you have couple of hours that you’d like to throw on something new try it out. Personally I’d rather some 15-20 hours worth games with story rather than a short mini game.
