Street Level: Windows Edition
Great game. I beat it in about 1 hour, but it was a solid experience. It is sort of like that old TI-83 game Drug War, but with a cyberpunk theme. The whole game is just choosing “yes” or “no” to jobs, or fights, or to buy upgrades, etc. There is actually depth here, though, even with just 2 choices and the game can get intense. For the price and about an hour of time, seems worth it. One note, there is no save games and there seems to be a bug where the game loses control if you alt-tab. So you have to beat it in one sitting.

Not a bad little game. I recommend it. It’s a nice little time killer at a cheap price. The art work is simple, but It works for what the game is (And seeing as how I love neon and cyberpunk, I like it). It’s a little tricky trying understand how some of the cards are going to behave, but I can see the appeal from a immersion aspect. It does feel like it’s building a rudimentary world in a way. There is a fair bit of reading on the cards, but once you get into the groove you begin to recognize them by appearance and can play it fast. I recommend it, and taking it for what it is, I give it a sold 7.5/10.

Mighty Party
So long story short: Stay as far away as you can. All the devs care for is quick ways to grab money. The recent “fixes” all did one thing- they made the game harder and impossible for anyone not spending a fortune (and I’m talking 5 digits here) in the long term. You will have some early success and than you will hit a brick wall, that gets higher and higher and higher.
When I started the game, it was already pay to win, but in a fair kind of way. You had lots of activities to participate in- sure without spending reaching the top is nearly impossible, but you could enjoy the game.

DO NOT PLAY THE STEAM VERSION!
If you want to play the game, do so on the Kongregate website. (I am not discussing the P2W aspect here).
I have 2 accounts, Steam and Kongregate, I started both on the same day, both are Rank 45 and League 13, I have spent equal ammount of money on both. The ammount of rewards, events and deals the Kongregate account gets compared to the Steam account is ridiculous!
The Kongregate Account got 4 days ago the “incredible summon” event, buy 10 chests and you get a legendary chest (containing best cards in game) for free, today again the same event. The Steam account didn’t get such an event at all.

Dead Man’s Draw
This is very close. Another game I wish I could give a neutral rating.
Its a push your luck card drawing game with each suit triggering a different mechanism and along with your traits you can combine them in to more or less devestating attacks in order to collect cards that bolster your score.
Contrary to some of the reviews Ive seen nothing to suggest that the AI is cheating, it does pull off some last minute nasty moves at times but keeping my cool I can think back to the many times I have done the same thing. How much this actually matters is debateable, if the game makes you feel like it is cheating then whether it is or it isnt, the frustration is always real. I think this will be the biggest sticking point for most people, at first it may not be quite so apparent but as things go on you will see through to the luck component of the game increasingly easily and more and more you will feel robbed by complete chance regardless of how well youve played a hand.

I really enjoyed this game, the rules are really simple to pick up, it’s fun to play, the characters are memorable and consistent in ‘who they are’ with the trait combos they use. The AI is really good and not overly cheaty, there were a couple of times I thought you wouldn’t keep drawing like that or you’d have had to have known that card was there to have carried on or to have played that card, but this didn’t happen often enough to make it a concern. It is incredibly fair the majority of the time.

Sad to see Gachimuchi straying so far from the original, which still remains the best game.

Escape of Mari: The Polar Ladybug
Who knew that a tiny ladybug could cause so much headache? Help Mari navigate and make your brain twist for a solution in this frozen puzzler that will warm up your hearts. It’s difficult but fair.
It’s a very underappreciated game that got lost with a high initial price. It was worth that price as it is actually very very good but nobody ever gave it a chance.. I’ve had it for quite some time but unfortunately couldn’t review it (before the price drop).
Given the price reduction BUY IT A-S-A-P as you are missing out. Very nice stages, good design, smooth gameplay and a real puzzler that will take a lot of your time to finish. It can frustrate at times but you will get the handle of it and feel accomplished in the end of the level.
