Wordeous

Wordeous

Wordeous almighty!

He is the God of words and requires sacrifice! Play more to satisfy him!

Now we are talking guys, this is the very best interactive game to play with chat. Although the developers need more time to cross the ’t’s and dot the ‘i’s future the game emerges with a loud noise, I hear the crash of thunder.

Amuse your loyals and the Wordeous will bless you.

Wordificient!

Played through it twice, the game is the best of it’s kind, rogue like and incredible deck building elements, this game has that “little extra” that games like this need to be successful.

Fate in the Darkness

Fate in the Darkness

As planned this is an RPG-sandbox in board game style, with a gothic fantasy atmosphere.

А living own life world, which you can interact through the game character, attended events, tasks and game deck.

The goal of this project is to port board game.

In this time the gameplay is a journey through the main game location.

This demonstrates the work I have done, from scratch.

The game is raw.

Core aspects such as: generation of game characters, map-pocessing algorythm, most part of AI logic and e.t.c. are mostly done. But still in need of optimization and content. Also there is a dungeon map-generator, but it’s unfinished and not integrated.

**Graphics will be changed and balance will be updated. Plenty of dialogs, events, tasks, items and objects are gonna be added.

Have in plans to add co-op up to 4 players and map-creation tools.**

Since it’s my pesonal project - I can change/add/delete any part of it if I see fit.

Very interesting game.

Unless you are good at remembering everything I suggest you take notes as you may get lost in some levels.

It is quite intriguing exploring a woman’s sexuality like this and I do recommend picking this up and trying it out.

My only 2 gripes with the game are:

1. There is no in game sound settings as it is rather loud.

2. There doesn’t seem to be a way to see which cards you have viewed or not when it comes to the view all cards achievement.

Interesting concept. I liked progressing through the story and learning more about the games different plots. Thought-provoking and brings a new experience to your steam library. For the price, it was incredible!!

AltspaceVR

AltspaceVR

AltspaceVR is one of my favourite VR applications, i’ve spent many hours on it watching YouTube videos with strangers, having lightsaber battles, eating marshmallows, dancing to live DJ parties and much more!

PROS :

  • A fairly big community (for a VR app) You’ll usually find people online at any time of the day.

  • Cross-platform support. You can meet people using the Gear VR, Google Daydream, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and even people without headsets playing in 2D mode.

  • People are very friendly. Even if you feel like someone is acting badly, you can simply mute or block them.

Used to be good till they removed everything the community liked. They used to have body tracking, a easily usable sdk, hand tracking, and a shared browser. So long as you agree with everything they do and have no opinion of your own you’ll be fine there, but if you express concern about something or question anything then you’ll be removed. Also, it behaves like spyware, writing out randomly titled files to places in the hard drive like C:\Windows\System32 and other such obscure places that aren’t easily user accessible for the sole purpose of tracking you after you’ve decided to uninstall it. They don’t do anything to protect user privacy. Any picture you upload doesn’t get exif data stripped out, so any image that gets uploaded that was taken with a phone will have the GPS coordinates attached and can be read by anyone. It’s trivially easy to get past their joke of security on their servers and get the e-mails and birth days of anyone with an account. When you tell them about their security holes and suggest things they can do better they deny that any security holes exist. They let known child predators go around grooming children and go so far as to threaten to ban the users trying to report them, with proof. All-in-all, if you’re looking for a platform where you can be surrounded by kids, threatened by staff, and get anything you try to do ripped off with no credit then this is the place for you.

First off the bat - I have never played anything like this before; controlling a space game with typing commands. Disclaimer: I only use Steam for the new Red Alert: Remastered, but I learned of this game on FB.

You’ll have to like the following to enjoy the game: 1 bit graphics and typing.

You’ll die a lot at first, but you will find a method to the madness and learn to use commands and when to use what weapons. I usually take out everything in a level and then raid the planet.

A bizarre smash up of star trek bridge crew and typing of the dead.

You need to carefully manage you ammo and prioritize between maneauvering attacking and defending, each action requiring a lengthy string to be typed perfectly.

Very original concept great for booting up when you just feel like playing for a short session

A member of my party steps on a landmine, i deactivate it and the land mine joins my team, if the turn ends and there is not another unit over the land mine, it explodes dealing 70% of health to the entire team (basically a instant game over), and the same if it gets destroyed. One of my party members gets mad at the land mine and attacks it, killing the land mine and the entire team.

Updated review after the most recent patch. Most issues I had with the game have now been fixed, and I have changed back to a “recommended” review as promised. This is the longest review I’ve ever written, and the only one I’ve edited more than once. These facts alone should tell you something about the depth and investment this game offers! Most of the text below this line is no longer relevant, but I’m leaving it up as a history of sorts and a memory of what kind of long-winded criticisms the patient devs have dealt with! :D

Digital Boardgames are a bit of an odd genre. As a fan of both physical board games and digital strategy games I’ve struggled to grasp the hybrid. Why represent a complex strategy game with cards and dice rolls when you don’t have to, especially if your game doesn’t have a physical equivalency.

Enter Heretic Operative. The description reads “Inspired by games like Pandemic, Arkham Horror, and Talisman” and that was a big selling point for me. Having recently become an obssessive for the Arkham Horror card game, I knew what this meant for the game in general - action-point, narrative driven “built to probably kill you” by design. Great.

Doodle God

Doodle God

I became interested in Doodle God because of my job. I figured any game that could keep a special needs child entertained and quiet (and not poking his neighboring van mates) during an hour long ride home AFTER being cooped up in school all day had to be worth looking into. The game is certainly mind absorbing, with all the combinations of “elements” that can be combined in the main game alone (249 total). Now add to that all the other “mini” games that can be played. Hours of entertainment, or at least mind absorbing nullness.

Every now and then a mobile developer tries to take their successful, beloved mobile game and bring it to a more traditional gaming platform. These efforts always result in dumpster fires of failure. It isn’t that mobile games are necessarily worse than their more traditional counterparts, just that different audiences expect differetn things from their gaming experience. People that want to waste a couple of minutes on the ride to work aren’t going to want the same exact thing when they actually sit down and play something in their own free time, and Doodle God is just the latest example of that.
