So far I am disappointed in this game. From the store page this game looked promising but after purchase you discover there isn’t much interesting and very few options that can be found to play the game. I feel like the $9.99 i spent on this game is way to much for the limitation this game has.

GOC Royale

GOC Royale

GOC Royale is a massively multiplayer card game that takes place on randomly generated islands.

See a mission assigned to you by your monarch, compete against other teams in death matches, and be the first to complete the objective to win numerous items that will serve you later.

A GAME RESOLUTELY DESIGNED FOR MULTIPLAYER

  • A Quest Mode - 20 teams on one island starting at the same time. You will all start with the standard equipment. The first team to complete the mission can aspire to bring back numerous items that can be used in Arena or Survival mode.

  • An Arena Mode - Compete against other teams in merciless death matches and reach the top of the leaderboard. In this mode, you choose your equipment from what you have already collected.

  • A Survival Mode - A persistent island that you can join at any time for a chance to win exclusive content. You will find squads equipped with their best gear. Epic battles in sight.

If you prefer to compose your own team, you can add bots with you and influence them during the game;

MANY RACES AND CLASSES TO PLAY WITH

  • 7 playable races - Each with 3 exclusive classes and specific nerves towards a given statistic.

  • 36 playable classes - With specificities that will greatly influence the course of the game and the behaviour of your squad.

  • Endless team composition - Play it balanced or go for it all. See the future, increase your vision on the map, trigger crafting phases, summon powerful monsters, heal a lot, or not at all… Compose your squad wisely!

ISLANDS FULL OF SURPRISES

  • Randomly generated islands - The islands are all unique and full of locations that will help you improve your equipment.

  • 3 different biomes - Each with unique traps and monsters based on specific characteristics. The choice of your destinations will be crucial at the beginning of the game depending on the balance of your team.

  • 100 unique monsters - All with different synergies that will make every fight a little more epic. The harder the fight, the more rewards will be handed out.

  • 9 main quests, several side quests - All teams receive the same main quest. Be the first to complete it and get back to your ship to win rewards back home. Complete the secondary quests as you go and bring back more.

A DEEP COMBAT SYSTEM

  • Precise inventory management - Each modification should be carefully evaluated. Equipment can give you spells, stat modifiers, or even trigger reactions when you get hit. You can also create your own compositions within a game to create the deadliest combination.

  • A huge diversity of stuff - Collect and fight with over 1000 unique items and cast over 300 different spells. Each game will require you to be strong on particular characteristics and avoid weaknesses on others, making each game different.

  • An innovative turn-based combat system - In which agility will play a major role in the sequence of events. Estimate the course of the game and make the best possible combinations as a team

Your monarch awaits you. Will you be brave enough to answer his call?

The Corpsmen

The Corpsmen

Unless you have a passion for making an ultimate abomination, the content of this game, at the moment, only amounts to 2 hours tops.

Game got great concept and a very solid core, but very messy in many ways. Bugs, crashes, lags. Afaik the devs are aware of the bugs and UI issues, so it should be fixed eventually, but for now, if you can’t stand “true” early access games, I’d say you wishlish this and wait. “True” early access as in, it really is an early access game, unlike many modern games where it’s pretty much complete but they just put the early access tag there as an excuse in case anything goes wrong, this game really is in early access state where the game pretty much is incomplete, but out there early so people can test it out.

Warning before I post this. This game is still in development, and as such has some issues. That being said it just had a huge update, and a rather riveting beta phase for such an update. The development team seems to be paying attention to the forums and are able and willing to answer questions, even inane ones like that kind I ask.

They are working hard on fixing the bugs and issues, even at this current moment as I type this up.

That being said, I do recommend this game.

I should go over it, so here I go.

Gremlins, Inc. – Card Game

Gremlins, Inc. – Card Game

This original digital card game offers intense sessions for 2 to 6 players. At the core of gameplay lie two key mechanics: “hand management” and “take that”.

SET IN THE WORLD OF GREMLINS, INC.

The game is set in the world of corrupt capitalist gremlins of the future, the setting that’s already familiar to the tabletop community from the digital board game Gremlins, Inc. .

This card game is a standalone game with its own original set of rules and mechanics, and does not require ownership or previous experience with the previously released digital board game.

BUILD PROJECTS WHILE ATTACKING OTHERS AND DEFENDING YOUR OWN ACHIEVEMENTS

The sessions are played for score and for rounds. The player with the highest score at the end of the session wins. Build temporary and permanent projects, play instant action cards and camouflage your plans from the opponents while preparing your attacks.

SINGLE-PLAYER AND MULTIPLAYER MODES

The sessions typically last between 20 and 60 minutes. The game supports single-player and multiplayer modes, including peer to peer sessions as well as games played on the official servers, and allows to play with different decks.

PROVEN BY REAL-LIFE SESSIONS

Before we set to make it into a digital game, this project existed as a real-life card game enjoyed around the world in 6 languages.

A VIBRANT COMMUNITY AND A PUBLIC ROADMAP

We release this card game under the Early Access program as we’ll be expanding and modifying it based on the community feedback. The roadmap includes such features as team mode, ranked sessions and the support of Steam Workshop.

Deep Sky Derelicts

Deep Sky Derelicts

I will caveat my recommendation by saying that it only just makes it over the threshold. It has a couple of nice ideas that make it playable but many small annoyances that make it far less so. It’s quite cliched but if I could give it a “meh” I probably would.

There are several reviews that compare it to Darkest Dungeon (one of my all time favourites) so I gave it a go. After an hour playing, I realised that this was not particularly accurate. Other than having turn based combat and a map where you wander round and encounter random things, it is not that similar, please disregard anyone saying that!

OVERVIEW

As a TCCG/RPG game Deep Sky Derelicts scratches an itch I didn’t know I had. It has a few rough edges, but I can certainly recommend it. It is mechanically sound and thematically interesting, albeit somewhat clumsy and childish at times; more on that later. The presentation is well executed and the pacing is just right thanks to careful balancing.

GAMEPLAY, MECHANICS

There is a lot of variety here - the number of classes/specializations makes for great replayability. I’m pretty far along in my current playthrough and I already know what my next party composition will be. The game can be swingy at times, but I never ran into long periods of it being too easy or unfair party wipes. At least… not yet. That said, there are a couple of things I dislike, mechanically speaking:
