Blackjack Hands

Loved this game, it’s a great mashup between threes and blackjack.

I loved to play poker hands, this sequence is also very good.

I recommend this game if you want a relaxing but also challenging puzzle game

Interesting idea to mix puzzles and card games rules. Random elements brings a touch of card game feel.

Art is simple but nice, as well as the relaxing soundtrack. Good for card fans.

So far I am disappointed in this game. From the store page this game looked promising but after purchase you discover there isn’t much interesting and very few options that can be found to play the game. I feel like the $9.99 i spent on this game is way to much for the limitation this game has.

I didn’t go in expecting much but this is a real gem. Variation on 21 with special cards, play modes, timer, interactive elements. Awesome solitaire or for challenging your mates. Highly addictive.

If you love your card games or need a fun way to kill idle time (on planes, trains, in bed, etc.), check out Dead Simple 21. It’s addictive. I’m challenging anyone that walks past to have a go at beating my high score. And I learned a new card game!

Dead Simple 21 is a blackjack inspired game where you draw cards from a deck and place them into one of four columns trying to hit 21. This game is a fun casual game to play. It features a fantastic art style and theme. This was fun to play, and I recommend giving it a try.

edit: the april 9 patch fixed some technical issues, so I edited the review to reflect said changes.

poker hands mixes the matching mechanics from games like 2048 with the rules of poker. move all available cards at the same time and try to create hands (5 cards) according to the goals displayed in the top right corner. pushing cards against walls merges them, but you can also use incomplete hands to block, as you can’t merge two hands of 3 cards, for example.

No other words can describe this game other than amazing.

I already adore solitaire, and this game’s take on it showed me a perspective of which I thought I’d never see. In fact, I feel the trailer doesn’t do the game justice, because while it looks like a slow and boring game of solitaire, it actually is a game filled with bits of satisfaction when you get a great hand and are able to do half the enemy’s health in a single hit. I also love how they managed to create a build system, that while not complex and mostly interchangeable, does allow certain styles of play. For example, mine started as careful defense followed by a counterattack in the right moment, but evolved into creating enormous combos and decimating each enemy before they could even touch me. For example, I beat the final boss without taking a single hit. Spells are overpowered only if you play your cards right (pun intended), and enemies remain a threat while still being bearable and enjoyable. The difficulty scaling is very slow and steady, so none of the fights I faced felt like complete BS, while still being challenging victories (mainly in the pursuit of more stars). As of this review, I beat Relaxed mode in 10 hours.

I beat the game and now i can make a full review of it.

The game is ok, with a good progression (maybe in the end you become too powerful) and

and an easy difficulty. Basically combining the cards in increasing or decreasing value and following the colors you build combos for more powerful moves and defenses.

There are also consumable items that honestly, of all that I had, I used only bombs and life potions and I was very good with it. There are also cards with extra powers that influence the combat cards and equipment cards, that like the consumables, there are only 4 or 5 that really have an interesting advantage, the rest is rubbish.

Dragon Creek

Dragon Creek

Before I get into this review, I will definitely state that this game is honestly not for everyone. In fact, the game is very niche- which is not a criticism, but it is something to mind when contemplating purchasing this game.

The game is very simple, but its simplicity is the beauty of it. You can generate a dragon at the shrine, train it up, battle it, and rank it up.

If someone is looking for a farm simulator with dragon training, this is not that game. The farm can be upgraded, but all upgrades pertain to improving your dragon’s situation. The only thing remotely akin to farming is purchasing the plot upgrades- which you cannot place yourself- so you can grow your own food so you do not need to buy food for your dragon as often from the food stand.

Wow, Dragon Creek. Where to begin…

It’s so adorable! It’s a simple, cute game about raising your own dragon. You have 4 different species that you can get, them being the European Dragon, the Eastern (Lung) Dragon, the Cat-Lung, and the Wyvern. There will be more species on the way too, so keep an eye out. The dragons can be generated through a randomizer or you can put “codes” in to create your own. (Hint: Try messing around with specific dragon names…) You feed, pet, and wash your dragon in this game.

Faerie Solitaire Dire

Faerie Solitaire Dire

Original, positive review, left unedited:

I absolutely LOVED the previous Faerie Solitaire games (having played them several times through and would still go back for more) so this game was an immediate purchase! The game is in Early Access.. with not all of the story/items/etc available as of yet.. but that hasn’t dulled the enjoyment of it at all! I’ve played what is available from beginning-to-end almost a dozen times as of typing this. It’s such an enjoyable, not your standard “run of the mill” solitaire game. I’ve browsed through the forums on here for the game, and the developer is very active there should any problems arise (as well as taking suggestions during the games development). I look forward to the rest of the story being added, and of course being able to collect/hatch all the adorable pets as well! I highly recommend picking up this game to add to your collection! :)

This is a great solitaire game! They have some tricks up their sleeves to prevent us from winning such as cards that are covered by dirt and slowly appear when we make matches until the dirt is all gone and the card is usable. In later levels they have the same thing but if you don’t match it when it’s usable then the dirt reappears for every move you make that’s not a match, like clicking through the card deck. So it’s difficult to clear that card because you have to have other cards that can use it and at the right time. Another thing is a card that is blank but with a number that counts down every time we make a match until it gets to zero and flips over and is usable. Then there’s a stack a cards covered by a strange colored backing and the way to clear it is to uncover another strange glowing card back and click on it to clear the other one. For help, occasionally you get some wild cards that can be used and then select any card on the tableau to clear it. Wild Cards are very useful when you run through the entire deck and still have a card or two to clear.

Solitairica

Solitairica

Introduction, basics of gameplay

It’s a really interesting spin on your typical Solitaire formula. The addition of different enemy types (with own skills and passives), spells, equipment slots and deck types gives the game surprising depth. Solitairica also requires some real thought, especially if you want to get through to the end, regardless of whether it’s a Normal or an Elite run.

The “meat” of the game is gauntlet-type journey, with 18/28 battles and final boss. A single successful run takes anywhere from an hour to three, luckily there’s option to save & quit. And you’ll have to do plenty of runs to unlock and complete everything. I’ve spent well over 60 hours so far and I still have few deck types that I didn’t complete Elite difficulty with yet. If you like puzzle, strategy and/or card games then you should enjoy your time here.

Target Audience: .Those who like spider solitaire and Roguelites.

Summary:

While the base game may not EXACTLY spider solitaire, it uses the core game concept, and adds a layer of combat and skill to it. And what does that do? It makes an addictive game that I planned to play 4 hours to get my first impressions. Instead, I ended up playing 14+. This should tell you something. Using skills to turn a defeat into a victory was always satisfying, and a game that was great to play in the background while I was watching YouTube videos. The different classes and items helped to keep the variety up, while buying news skills and changing up strategies was great to see what new combination I could put together next. The game could use a few tweaks to make it more of a streamlined experience, and the developer seems to be taking feedback after he watched the video review I produced. And I would like to see the game on the iOS/Android platform, as I think it’d work really well there. But even for what may seem like a higher price compared to other solitaire/card games out there, Solitaircia delivered in some addictive gameplay, and made my other reviews that much harder, with the time I spent on this one.
